@countrygirl94 I've had bleeding all through this pregnancy so far, I've had a massive bleed and one that lasted a week all is good here I've had 3 scans so far and only 8 weeks today due to all the bleeding but baby has a heartbeat and is happily growing away oblivious to all the problems it's causing. Hopefully the scan will reassure you all is ok XXX

Mummytoboyxx · 13/10/2018 10:41

Welcome @WeeBean Congratulations on the BFP! Wow, what an exciting start to married life you’re going to have! A slight cramping feeling is normal. Just your uterus expanding and preparing for baby. Not sure about vivid dreams. I always seem to have them! X

Countrygirl94 · 13/10/2018 16:12

@Lovewinemorethanhusband oh wow, how scary for you. I'm glad everything is alright though. Seems they like to test us from the start.
Think I just got a shock and panicked, feeling very uptight today, it's probably nothing to worry about though hearing all you girls experiences. Hoping scan tomorrow will put me at ease. 💕

Mikewazowskismrs · 13/10/2018 16:44

@WeeBean congratulations and welcome ! Are you Scottish too Grin

I had my 8 week scan today ladies, all was good, we got to see our wee babies heartbeat and it’s measuring at 7 + 6 which is just 1 day less than I thought. Such an amazing feeling seeing that heartbeat!

RiverMeadow · 13/10/2018 21:23

@Countrygirl94 Good luck with your scan!! Everything will be ok, spotting is totally normal!

RiverMeadow · 13/10/2018 21:23

@Mikewazowskismrs Brilliant! It's lovely to see isn't it?

lstef · 13/10/2018 23:48

Hey everyone, hope it's ok to join. Not on FB anymore so thought I'd come here first before re-joining.

Have been tracking with Natural Cycles for a year so I could tell my period would be late before it was officially late , based on temperature - got BFP last Sunday, app says I am 4+5 today due 17th June (NHS site says 15th). Only our second cycle TTC and totally didn't expect it to happen so quickly! Still very surreal! First pregnancy and first time trying too so yikes!

Having cramps and twinges on and off, worse tonight but not unbearable. Reassuring to read that I'm not alone! Also super exhausted, especially about 4pm, have had a few long naps! And difficult to get up in the mornings too. No nausea as such yet but don't have my usual sugar cravings and have lost some appetite..

Got midwife appt on 30th, should be 7+2 (?) then.

I'm taking folic acid every day, anyone else take other supplements as well?

Thanks and look fwd to chatting! havent told any friends/family yet. eeek!

WeeBean · 14/10/2018 06:40

@Mummytoboyxx thanks for the reassurance! I've no real idea of what I'm experiencing! It's too early to talk to friends and family about it too so I'm just trying to educate myself about what happens next 🙈

@Mikewazowskismrs thank you! I'm from Northern Ireland. Congratulations to you too, it's so exciting!!

Mikewazowskismrs · 14/10/2018 09:54

@RiverMeadow @WeeBean thanks ladies, it was the best thing ever seeing that heartbeat, now need to wait nearly 5 weeks for hospital scan, eek!

Congratulations to you @lstef Grin I also take vital dha supplements

Countrygirl94 · 14/10/2018 11:03

Everything was fine at scan! Saw baby and heartbeat. Baby is measuring exactly as expected 8+3 weeks. So relived, still having some spotting but the lady was so lovely and said it could be the placenta implanting.

Mummytobe90 · 14/10/2018 11:27

I got my bfp 3 days before my period was due which was only a few days ago! So does that mean I ovulated early ?? I'm confused cuz I shouldn't have my bfp yet but it's clear that it's positive

Mummytobe90 · 14/10/2018 11:30

I'm the same as you!I got my bfp 3 days ago and I should be due in June also! I had weird dreams also, 3 of which were about having a baby lol congratsssss!!!!!

Lilbear14 · 14/10/2018 21:20

Is anyone getting cravings? I seem to bounce from one to another each week.
This week its apples (not gunna complain) keep picking up fruit bags and stuff when I'm out and about and I enjoy them way too much 😂😂 last week it chicken wraps from Tesco and week before it was pastry.

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 14/10/2018 21:40

Lilbear I've got a massive craving for pepper at the moment put it on everything now but have always hated it and today went to the cinema for kids club movie and lade my husband buy me a hotdog to eat it was 9.30 in the morning and I never eat food like that as have major issues with the food being breathed on by loads of people !, my husband was in fits watching me devour this hotdog

Lilbear14 · 14/10/2018 21:57

@lovewinemorethanhusband
Oh my god! Haha my OH said to me this morning "it's amazing how you are just inhaling food at the moment, I've never seen anything like it"
We went away this weekend and had a breakfast at a pub. I got a traditional and a side bowl of fruit. I bet they thought I was a right weirdo. I'm constantly hungry though and I've got to the point where I know what will fill me and if I need to bulk meals out or not.

Youvegotafriendinme · 15/10/2018 10:17

Morning everyone. Had a rough weekend and just couldn’t keep my eyes open. Had to phone in sick to work. Didn’t help that I had to get up with DS Saturday morning as DH had just come off a night shift!

@Lilbear14 your post made me laugh! The first week I ate pot noodles till I was literally sick of them. Then it was sour cream snack a jacks and super noodles, Last week I couldn’t get enough cheese and onion crisps and apples and yesterday and today is jelly pots and pepperamis (sp?)
When pregnant with DS I had nausea till about 23 weeks and it was nearly 24 hours a day. I was lucky if I managed a plain digestive and a plain yoghurt. Now I’m like a human dustbin which my DH also finds funny.

@Lovewinemorethanhusband you poor thing. I know how that feels too well. It’s scary isn’t it but so glad little ones doing well in there. When’s your dating scan with NHS?

Am I right in thinking someone had another scan today?
I have 2 weeks till my dating scan and I’m getting more nervous with each day which I know is normal but it feels silly as I’ve already been through this 2 years before!

Is anyone from south east?

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 15/10/2018 10:50

@youvegotafriendinme I haven't got a date yet which is a pain can't even get my first midwife's appointment apparently I'm on a callback for today to get a slot booked in as I can't get one with the normal widwives until I'm 15 weeks ! Our antenatal clinic is finding me an appointment

Brownie12 · 15/10/2018 11:12

Hi all, just to let you know I'll be leaving the forum today. Went for my scan after learning that I was expecting twins last Monday. Unfortunately, neither twin has grown and are measuring behind where they should be. I have been advised that the pregnancy is not viable. Absolutely gutted as you can imagine. I wish you all a happy and healthy pregnancy. Take care xx

CeeCee88 · 15/10/2018 11:14

Congrats to @istef and @weebean - how very exciting and welcome to the board! Smile

Looks like there's going to be a royal baby in May next year too, according to today's news.

@lilbear14 and @lovewinemorethanhusband I'm exactly the same - constantly hungry!! I've never had that much of a rumbling stomach as in the last few weeks.
I fear I'll be twice my size before I even start showing! Shock

Saying this, my wife pointed out last night, that she thinks I'm starting to show already, because I've apparently got a tiny bump. I'm not convinced. Grin

Our first scan is a week today and the day just can't come around quickly enough. I should be 8+6 then, so really cannot wait to see the little bean for the first time!

Still haven't got any nausea really, which I'm insanely grateful for, but my boobs are KILLING me... and the constant tiredness isn't helping either.

Had a bit more spotting again as well, which is always a tad worrying, but I feel fairly calm as the doctor reassured me it's perfectly normal to spot in the first trimester. As long as it's not red or pink and I'm in no pain, all should be well. I'm sure we'll find out if not next week. Until then I'm just keeping all of my fingers and toes mightily crossed!!

CeeCee88 · 15/10/2018 11:15
