Just got Very first BFP!! Due May 2019 anyone else??

Just wanted to start a new thread for anyone who has just got their BFP.
What do I do now?
When do I phone the Drs?
Help would be great 👍🏻😃

@DaisyChainsForever I feel the same. I am about 7 weeks and apart from sore (bigger) boobs and bloating i feel fine. I had a scan last week for a cyst but they could only see a 2mm 'fetal pole' so now i am worried sick. But the only thing to do is WAIT IT OUT! I have midwife apptmt on 26th and feels like forever. I desperately want her to hear a heartbeat.

From what i can tell everyone is different and if we feel ok then hopefully we are just lucky and it is still early days.

@Brownie12 OMG ! Twins 💃🏻💃🏻. That is so cool. Am thrilled for you. My work colleague has twins. A boy and girl. She had them in her 40's and was IVF. They are gorgeous. Congratulations. Double trouble 😆

First appointment here in Edinburgh, midwife seemed quite happy, low risk pregnancy just now :-) despite some family stress over the past week my BP was normal, so just to wait for blood results, then scan on 26th. It's all starting to feel more real.
Been feeling absolutely exhausted, and the BOOBS, but otherwise fine, thankfully.

My 1st (12 week) scan is 12th Nov & had our booking appointment at the weekend. We've decided not to go for an early private scan and will hold out. It's not the money, it's the very real fear I have of there being a problem and being left to our own devices to move forwards which I don't think we'd cope with very well. Just waiting for results of blood tests etc as they'll call me in if there's a problem. Anyone else waiting til 12 weeks?

@alienm That's fantastic news! Bet you can't wait for your scan on the 26th now?
I'm the same actually - boobs, tiredness and getting really hungry at any given point but thankfully not really any nausea so far... fingers crossed it stays that way. :)

I'm 7 weeks today. Got booking in appointment on 29th October and assuming they will book the scan then.

We talked about an early scan but as this is the first pregnancy and we have no reason to expect problems we decided to wait until the NHS scan.

I'm quite naturally anxious and I have a feeling extra scans will be more likely to increase my anxiety and make me look for reassurance all the time. We decided for me it would be better to focus my mind on the fact that what will be will be and there is very little I can do either way at this point to change that. If I get any bleeding or pain then obviously we would take action but otherwise we are trying to assume the positive and just get on with things. That's not to say it's easy - I'm finding it hard not to be distracted at work and obsess about things but so far I have resisted the temptation to POAS again or google everything and scare myself.

Fingers crossed for all of you having scans around now. Must be so exciting to see your little one for the first time. Can't wait!

Just want to add - if an early scan helps you then go for it. As will all things pregnancy and parenting - it's your choice and there's all kinds of ways to do things which are all perfectly good.

Hi everyone, how are you all? I had my early scan today and saw a tiny little beating heart! I was soooo anxious to make sure it was all ok and just thrilled that the likelihood of miscarriage is reduced now that I've seen the heartbeat ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I am not doing well at keeping up on this thread!

I phoned up the maternity unit today as still hadn't heard about appointment and she told I was booked in to see a midwife on the 23rd so not to long to wait.

@buntingandstarcharts congrats! How exciting to see, I've got an early scan Sunday and I'm so nervous.

I've been trying to convince my other half to let us pay for an early scan but he just wants to wait, so I'm just going to try convince him to let us have an early gender scan. I've said that we will find out after the January sales if we wait so will miss out 😂😂

I've just downloaded the app. And sooo happy there are so many women who have due date in May like I do. Congratulations to everybody ❤️
I have my ultrasound in 1,5 weeks. Already heard the heartbeat of my "shrimp" like the doc said in an early echo. Absolute happiness.
But being pregnant is not such a fun as I supposed. One day I feel tired and can do nothing other day I feel so seek. Rarely I feel fine, but this time I don't want to go out and meet with friends. I got tired of people soooo fast. The plane trip two day ago was a torture.
Just wandering will it be easier? Usually I am not like that. Hormones are playing me like I am a violin

@RiverMeadow my tummy is unreal levels of enormous! It's so uncomfortable and my boobs are like enormous sore melons! Ouch. So pleased we are all in the same boat xxx

@Mikewazowskismrs 7 weeks, 2 days ❤️ There's an early scan walk in clinic at my hospital (St George’s, London) they were so nice to me because I was so so so nervous and had so few symptoms except the giant bloat. Anyone else in the same area?

@buntingandstarcharts ah really that’s a Great thing to have! I’m In Glasgow, not sure if they have one we have just booked a private scan. Was the heartbeat clear? I should be 8 weeks when I go on Saturday so I’m hoping it’s loud and clear.

Yup exactly same re symptoms, boobs are big and heavy, rounded belly and always tired although I am just back from Zumba so feeling energised after that !

@Mikewazowskismrs yes the heartbeat was so clear. She turned the monitor to me and there was a blob of really obvious flickering about the size of a pea ish. Will you have an early scan did you say?
