@CeeCee88 yes me! Totally feel I'm getting the cold again and haven't been taking anything as not sure what's safe. If you find anything that's safe to use let me know.
@SafariGirl100 enjoy your holiday! Sounds an amazing trip.

Love seeing all the scan pics - I've got a private scan booked for Sunday, starting to get nervous.

Also I haven't heard anything from midwife and don't have my first appointment date yet. Is anyone else still waiting for theirs?
I'm 7+4 today and worried they are gonna phone and give me an appointment last minute which will make it difficult to get time off work as I haven't told them yet.

CeeCee88 · 08/10/2018 10:12

@CountryGirl94 - apparently Menthol Crystals in hot water to breathe are ok!

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 08/10/2018 12:32

@countrygirl I can't even get an appointment until end of November for a midwife, have called the children's centre and requested a callback to book an appointment with any available midwife, I only need the first appointment and refering to consultant care but it just seems impossible at the moment

Mummytoboyxx · 08/10/2018 12:40

Have a fantastic holiday @SafariGirl100. Your trip sounds amazing and a lot more adventurous than mine!

Countrygirl94 · 08/10/2018 13:12

@CeeCee88 I shall get some! Thank you😊

@Lovewinemorethanhusband that's a ridiculous wait, I hope you get it sorted soon.

alienm · 08/10/2018 15:07

@CollieQ similar place dates-wise, booking appt is on Wednesday, but DH will be there. Haven't actually thought of what questions we want to ask, feel like we're probably going in a bit blind!
I probably will go for vaccines, although I wouldn't normally (generally keep fairly well). Having a challenge with tiredness just now, especially with some other family stress going on :-(

LMull · 08/10/2018 17:29

Early scan was bad news; nothing there. Just waiting to find out what happens next but leaving this thread now. Wishing you all the best

CollieQ · 08/10/2018 17:52

@LMull - sorry to hear your news, don’t give up hope xxx thinking of you xxx

@alienm - you’re lucky to have you’re DH there, mine has just started a new job. Therefore I wanna save his time off for scans etc! Even though I have a 5:30pm appointment (I did that so my work doesn’t know but he still can’t make it!)

@CeeCee88 - good advice with the menthol crystals @Countrygirl94 I would also recommend manuka honey and lemon drink.

Got my doctors appointment tomorrow and I’m 9ish weeks and hoping that I’m given a midwife appointment, but judging from your experience ( @Lovewinemorethanhusband ) I’m not holding my breath on getting a date I want! Also going on holiday on my ‘12th’ week so think I might be having a later scan... not sure of the pros/cons of that? If anyone could fill me in I’d be grateful xxx

Mummytoboyxx · 08/10/2018 18:46

Sorry to hear that @LMull. Sending hugs Flowers

RiverMeadow · 08/10/2018 20:02

@LMull so sorry to hear that Thanks

WoogleCone · 08/10/2018 20:47

Hi everyone

Sorry been quiet for a while. Went away to my parents this weekend and told them the news.

So sorry to hear @LMull, sending lots of love your way Flowers

Happy holidays to everyone travelling and welcome to everyone new here Smile

I'm feeling pretty sicky most days, had planned a curry for tea but ended up eating pasta with salad cream on haha.

@alienm the midwife will probably ask you more questions, last time each of hers prompted one for me haha. I'm sure you'll get all the answers without forgetting!

@lovewinemorethanhusband hope you get your appointment too, end of Nov is crazy!
You too @countrygirl84! I got mine a while ago but they had to book me a month later so will be ten weeks by the time it comes around.

Think I'll head to bed soon, I'm sooo sleepy!

SafariGirl100 · 08/10/2018 23:36

Thank you everyone for the holiday wishes. I must be mad by going but I need something to take my mind off this endless anxiety and I cant do anything here until my midwife appointment. Each week lasts a month now!

I feel so sad @LMull 😪😪. I am so sorry for your heartbreak. Xxxxx.

Youvegotafriendinme · 09/10/2018 07:34

@CeeCee88 Nasel sprays and paracetamol are your friend. You can use the sprays as much as you want. When I was pregnant with DS I had a cold that lasted about 3 proxy months and they were the only thing that relieved any pressure

@LMull I’m so very sorry. My thoughts are with you Flowers

@SafariGirl100 have a fantastic holiday and make sure you tell us all about it when you get back. Smile

@alienm where abouts are you? I’m south east London and my letter clearly stated to come alone to booking appointment. With DS, DH came along and nothing was said but this time I had to go alone. Dont worry about trying to think of things to ask, you’ll think of anything when your there. Hope it goes well

CeeCee88 · 09/10/2018 08:28

Oh @LMull I'm so very sorry to hear that... Flowers
All the best of luck for the future!!

@CountryGirl94 I got some yesterday and this is the first night I've slept more or less through. They really do help, but be careful with how many you add to the boiling water, because the smell will blow your head off! [schock]

@youvegotafriendinme I wasn't sure about the nasal sprays as I'd read so many different things about them. Good to know though! Smile

Oh that's awesome @WoogleCone - how did your parents react? Are they excited?

We're waiting until the beginning of November to tell both of our parents at the same time in person, as we'll all be together to celebrate my mum's 60th. I can't wait!!

WoogleCone · 09/10/2018 08:41

@CeeCee88 thanks, they were really excited. Mum kinda knew we were trying so was pleased. We decided to tell the in laws on the way home too, FIL was mega excited and MIL was 'oh I didn't think you were having anymore'. Overall pleased though, some just don't know how to react I think!

DaisyChainsForever · 09/10/2018 08:56

Does anyone else have no symptoms? i'm 7+1 and from what i remember with DS1 i was feeling very pregnant at this point last time! The cheapest early scan in our area is £89, which is such a lot of money BlushSad

Mummytoboyxx · 09/10/2018 09:02

I wouldn’t worry @DaisyChainsForever. Symptoms come and go and it isn’t a sign of anything going wrong. Some days I feel pregnant and other days I almost feel normal. £89 is what I paid for an early scan. It is a lot of money but sometimes the reassurance is worth it for peace of mind xx

Youvegotafriendinme · 09/10/2018 09:16

@DaisyChainsForever I know how you feel. I definitely do feel as many symptoms as when I was pregnant with DS. I’ve had really bad vomiting this time which I didn’t before but apart from that it’s easier (so far!)

DaisyChainsForever · 09/10/2018 09:33

Thank you @Mummytoboyxx it's so hard not to worry. You might be right about the reassurance. x

Lilbear14 · 09/10/2018 09:33

I wouldn't worry about symptoms. I didn't have many with my first two. Morning sickness with my first and that's it.
But this one it's hit me like a truck.

DaisyChainsForever · 09/10/2018 09:42

Thank you ladies, you've made me feel slightly better. Flowers

CeeCee88 · 09/10/2018 10:03

@daisychainsforever I've not really got any symptoms apart from being constantly tired and having tender/sore boobs.

Thankfully no nausea as of yet, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it stays like that. Smile

RiverMeadow · 09/10/2018 10:47

@DaisyChainsForever I also paid for an early scan with my first and this baby and it's the best money I've ever spent.

I've just had my first appointment with the midwife, she was really lovely, I'm seeing her again in 2 weeks time.

user1467718508 · 09/10/2018 14:03

It's so hard to get past those doubts isn't it, @DaisyChainsForever

Never in my life have I so dearly wanted my boobs to hurt.

Right now I just feel a bit crampy and a smidge more tired.

Brownie12 · 09/10/2018 15:45

Sooooo.......I went for a scan when I was 5+6 because I was experiencing a little spotting. Everything was fine. We saw a gestational sac, a yolk sac and a little fetal pole.

Went for my 7+2 scan yesterday (I am IVF) and there is now two sacs, two yolk sacs and two tiny little babies!!! I am shocked but also worried as they were showing as small for their gestational age. No heartbeat as yet. Back again on Monday. The Dr was laughing as he said I've grown another baby in a week! Obviously must have been hiding. I just don't know what to think. I'm trying not to get too attached in case it's bad news on Monday and usually people have seen heartbeats by now. Hoping they have a growth spurt this week!! 😳😳😳
