@RiverMeadow I thought that I was only 8w so an extra 5 is brilliant.

@India1819 no I didn't get to hear the heartbeat I didn't realise that you were able to this early on.

Lilbear14 · 01/10/2018 18:32

A quick question regarding scans, those who have their scan dates when and how did you get them?
I expected the doctor to sort it, they did with both other children but there's been no word of it. Will it be booked at my first MW app?

alienm · 01/10/2018 18:40

@Lilbear14 we have a central number to call for midwife services where I live and I was given both appointments when I called them. I was about 5 weeks at the time. Check your local NHS board website, where you should be able to find details (at least that's where I found it in Scotland)

RiverMeadow · 01/10/2018 19:21

@farminerbump great! I hope when I go they say the same!

farminerbump · 01/10/2018 20:27

@RiverMeadow have you booked for an early scan or are you waiting for your 12 weeks.

I was sooooo nervous before we went the lady was fantastic though didn't doubt that everything was fine! Scared the life out of me when she went checking for a second one though! 😱 it's just the one we're all good thankfully.

RiverMeadow · 01/10/2018 22:10

I booked an early scan on Thursday coming I'll be 6+2 I obviously won't be sleeping on Wednesday night Confused

SafariGirl100 · 01/10/2018 22:31

@farminerbump 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💃🏻. Wonderful news. I have my scan wednesday. I am so nervous but seeing your post has helped x

@Countrygirl94 @lifechanginglemoncake I am also SO SO tired. Honestly never been so exhausted and want to sleep all day like the cat (fat chance as I have to work).

Also eating apple a lot and must be sliced up. How strange we are all the same about apple. I don't even like apples usually!

Rubberduckies · 02/10/2018 07:44

I've started properly gagging each morning now but haven't been sick yet, it seems like it's only a matter of time...... Dreading work today, it was my dat off yesterday and I spent most of the day sleeping or sipping ginger tea.

I had a scan booked for 7 weeks which was cancelled because the company closed down! Wtf!? So I've rebooked at 7+3 with the (more expensive) private part of our local nhs hospital. Counting down the days!

Booking in for me I had to speak to the receptionist at the GP surgery who gave me a pregnancy pack and a referral form which will get sent to the midwives. They see people between 8 and 10 weeks I think.

Countrygirl94 · 02/10/2018 08:16

@Rubberduckies same here, gagging but never actually sick. Hating it.
That is so annoying about your scan. Do you have long to wait? I can't remember how far along you are.

Rubberduckies · 02/10/2018 08:23

I take that back. Threw up while trying to brush my teeth.....now I need to try and brush my teeth again :(

Rubberduckies · 02/10/2018 08:24

@countrygirl94 Only 9 more days to wait, I'm 6+1 now. Still seems like agggggggges!!

RiverMeadow · 02/10/2018 09:18

The nausea is awful. I absolutely sailed through this part of my pregnancy last time and this time
I feel like I've been hit by a bus!

user1467718508 · 02/10/2018 11:56

@rubberduckies I'm totally with you on the sipping ginger tea and work dread...why can't we hibernate for this bit?!

Had to minute a 1.5 hour meeting at the end of yesterday and near enough dozed off Blush. I'm wondering/worrying about how long it will be before someone calls me out for having slowed right down.

WoogleCone · 02/10/2018 12:31

Afternoon everyone.

I'm totally with you all on tiredness. I go pick DD up in half an hour after having 5 hours to myself. I made it to the shop and home. What I should have done is about 3 loads of laundry, cleaned down the kitchen and tidied the bedroom. What I did was sit on my ass and crochet and even that I gave up on after half an hour haha.

I'm starving but don't fancy anything, the idea of anything makes me feel nauseated.

With you there @plantingandpotting, I get a couple evening shifts a week and I caught my head drop on sat night when I finally sat down in the office. Not good haha!

Hope it wears off for you @rubberduckies and everyone else!

buntingandstarcharts · 02/10/2018 13:00

I'm sorry to hear that you are suffering with sickness ladies. Thinking of you all. Just imagine it growing in there though ❤️ I've not had any sickness at all so wondering whether it's a bad sign 🙏🏼🙏🏼 6 weeks 1 day - anyone else?

Brownie12 · 02/10/2018 13:03

Hi all,

Quick question. I'm 6+3 today but last night I went to bed with mild period pains. I managed to sleep but they woke me up a couple of times. There was no cramping or doubling up in pain or anything like that but if I didn't know I was pregnant I would have bet money that my period was starting. Is this all normal, it's my first baby so nothing to compare with? My tummy feels sore today, almost bruised inside. Is it things starting to stretch? xx

Brownie12 · 02/10/2018 13:04

@buntingandstarcharts I'm 6+3 and have had no sickness at all. In fact, I keep stuffing food in my face!

RiverMeadow · 02/10/2018 13:04

@buntingandstarcharts Certainly not a bad sign, I had no sickness at all with my first and all was well!

I had some crusty loaf and butter this morning at 9.30. Not ideal but it took the nausea away.

RiverMeadow · 02/10/2018 13:05

@Brownie12 It will be everything starting to stretch and move into place. I also remember that with my first and I was quite worried but it's completely normal.

Countrygirl94 · 02/10/2018 14:35

@Rubberduckies hope the sickness is better as the day goes on. time does go slowly doesn't it. I've got an early scan booked for the 14th October.

@Brownie12 I've been having dull period like pains on and off too, first pregnancy here too, totally freaked me out but like @RiverMeadow said I've been told it's normal.

Mikewazowskismrs · 02/10/2018 17:21

Hi ladies.

I’m 6 + 3 today too. nausea hit me like a ton of bricks on Sunday and I threw up once. Continued into yesterday but has subsided and has gone today.

Not sure whether to be worried or relieved !

8 week scan on 13/10 so hopefully all will be ok then Smile

Hope your all feeling ok!

buntingandstarcharts · 02/10/2018 21:02

@Brownie12 I am doing the same! I'm eating like a HORSE! Can't stop.... ah

SafariGirl100 · 02/10/2018 22:01

@buntingandstarcharts @Brownie12 I also have no sickness and feel totally fine (apart from hellishly tired and cant be bothered with work at all).

I was worried it was a bad sign but. Hear no sickness is also normal for many.

I think I am 6-7 weeks.

Got my 2nd scan tomorrow. Just lucky timing as it was booked before I was preggers to monitor a cyst on my ovary. Now they will be looking at 'lentil' instead! 🙈🙈

buntingandstarcharts · 02/10/2018 22:55

@SafariGirl100 good luck! Let us know how it goes yay xxxx

Rubberduckies · 02/10/2018 22:57

@countrygirl94 Oh so close to mine, mine is the 11th. Nausea stayed till about lunchtime when I started work. I think I was too busy to register it luckily! I very embarrassingly managed to throw a full glass of water towards a colleague onto the floor - anyone else extra clumsy? It was in front of a load of people I was training too....!
