Just got Very first BFP!! Due May 2019 anyone else??

Just wanted to start a new thread for anyone who has just got their BFP.
What do I do now?
When do I phone the Drs?

I'm 5+4 today. Anyone else getting hot flashes? My face feels like it's on fire! Had at least one of these every day the last few days.

For the ladies that are awaiting their booking appointments, what is the process? I rang doctors the day I found out and the receptionist booked my appointment with MW for 7weeks there and then. Wouldn't you think it would make sense for everyone to have that process to save the waiting around, hope you all get them soon x

I had to go to the doctors, to get a phone number, to be then given another phone number which ended up being the wrong midwife to then ring the first number to find out what was going on. They then booked me an appointment for when I'm 7 weeks .... I don't know why they didn't do that in the first place. Seemed like I had to go round and round in circles and just ended up back at the begining.

Just glad I've got an appointment

@lifechanginglemoncake I haven't with this pregnancy but I had really bad hot flushes with my first two. I actually collapsed 3 times with my first because of it.

@rivermeadow our community midwives work out of our local health centre so I rang the centre, she filled out a form for me and faxed it to them. Midwife then rang to give me an appt. Although they're in the same centre, they dont manage the appointments.
Handy for me though because it's within 2 mins walking distance haha

I went to the drs when I found out but she didn’t even text just took my word for it. Booked me in MW but policy around me is not before 9 weeks so I’ll be 9+2 before my booking in

My midwife comes to the house. I was quite surprised. My apptmt with her is at 10 weeks and I had a letter from the local hospital for a scan at 11.5weeks. Am so nervous of the big scan 🙈

So odd how areas can be so different.
My youngest is nearly 5 and everything has changed. I remember it being so straight forward with him and it's just become really complicated. I have to go to a different town for my first appointment and then I'm back at my doctor's surgery after that. I'm glad I don't have long to wait for my appointment though as I really want to know when my scan will be, saying that...I don't even know how or when it will be booked.

I’m 6 weeks today and feeling hot and nauseous. My boobs are huge and tender too.

I’ve booked a private scan for next Sunday when I’ll be 7 weeks, just for reassurance. My booking in appointment is at 8+5

It all seems so surreal!

I haven't got my appointment yet, I phoned doctors when we found out and they just took my word for it and I had to phone the midwife clinic and she took my details and said I would either get a phone call or letter with appointment.
I'm 6+4 today and this weekend was hit with tiredness. Honestly feel I could spend a week in bed. Anyone else the same?

@Littlemissteepot I'm 8+1 due May 12!

@Countrygirl94 also struggling with tiredness. I've had an awful cold since Friday too which isn't helping so spent pretty much all of the weekend on the sofa. I feel like we should be making the best of this time before i'm big (or there's 3 of us!!!) to do nice things together but i'm just too pooped to be bothered!

I'm 8w today and going for my early scan this afternoon, purely for reassurance. We're both really excited but nervous at the same time.
I went for an app at the dr the other day where they said they'll send my details to the midwife and they'll contact me around 12 weeks. It feels like so long away still.

@India1819 I feel the same, though keep thinking once I reach 12 weeks I'll get my energy back. 🤞 I hope your cold is getting better, so annoying not being able to take anything as well. 

@farminerbump good luck today for scan. 12 weeks seems ages to wait to see a midwife.

Opted for the Whittington in the end :) Feels weird that I saw the Dr a week ago now and still haven't had a letter/phone call.

I also need to sign DH up for one of those intensive week-long driving courses out in the sticks.
...will be quite nice to not always be the designated driver anymore Grin

I'm 5+4 today (whyyy is it going soo slowwly?!) and the nausea has officially landed.

Currently sat at my desk sipping ginger tea and trying not to catch a whiff of the Krispy Kreme doughnuts my colleague brought in (give it til lunchtime and I'll be shovelling them in).

all i want to eat today is cereal and ice cold milk! last week it was mash and gravy. Poor baby will be carb loading!

I've been craving fruit. Specifically cut apples and pineapple. Not a whole apple, has to be cut segments, and orange juice. Not really been a fruit person before except for satsumas.

@Floofsquidge yes to the OJ! I'm still eating plenty of fruit (particularly acidic fruit) but struggling with certain veg atm. Seem OK with peas but cannot stomach tomatoes (unless cooked) or broccoli which are normally my faves!

Been feeling fairly meh for a couple of weeks, but it's definitely turned into a cold today :-( have managed to get some menthal crystals for decongestant from the chemist, although not too sure how effective they're going to be!
10 days til first midwife appointment, 3.5 weeks til scan, good to hear everyone else is doing well.
