Kyle
Ellie
Jaden/Jayden
Chanelle
etc etc... and apologies if you have called your child any of the above
I put Ellie because a squillion little girls are called that.
Freya is a nice name but there are so many now - it really turns me against such names,no matter whether they are nice

Have laughed loads at this thread - especially because our DS (only a year so no playground yelling yet) is called Sol! well Solomon, thought it was a useful name as he can be Solly, Sol, or Solliwolliwocious.....lol

Desiderata · 06/06/2007 22:35

That's the spirit, lily. Some people have got so arsey over it

Desiderata · 06/06/2007 22:37

Archangel is also a Russian place name. It's right on the north coast ... very cold.

Probably a very shit place, but doesn't it sound fantastic?

handlemecarefully · 06/06/2007 22:39

And the moral of the story is perhaps that it is wise to stick to a classic timeless name (perhaps dull but safe)

lily333 · 06/06/2007 22:40

lol, we're from the north coast here and bloody hell it can be cold.... Solomon Scarborough - why didn't i think of that????

handlemecarefully · 06/06/2007 22:41

Are you from Scarborough? My parents live in Scarborough!

WelshBoris · 06/06/2007 22:42

I like the same Sol.

And Sonny.

lily333 · 06/06/2007 22:43

lol, do i know them??? its quite a small place!

WendyWeber · 06/06/2007 22:47

lyrabelacqua, this boy (man?) isn't TJ, he is TeeJay - TeeJay is what his parents named him - not for his initials, that's his name!!!

handlemecarefully · 06/06/2007 22:47

Probably not - they are very old.

They live in Mayfield Avenue

VeniVidiVickiQV · 06/06/2007 22:48

So, did it?

katelyle · 06/06/2007 22:48

And I think Putney for a boy. Or is it too girly? I don't want him teased in the playground for having a girly name.

lily333 · 06/06/2007 22:50

lol, i know the street well..... it is quite a small town!!!

lyrabelacqua · 06/06/2007 22:50

wendy, yes that is pretty crap

lyrabelacqua · 06/06/2007 22:51

We're going to have to stop agreeing Hatrick, people are going to talk.

James is DPs brothers name, and is probably my favourite boys name. It's just a lovely boys and mans name.

I think people are missing a wealth of opportunity offered by the names of electrical goods.

Toshiba
Sony
Hyundai
Bang & Olufsen (the twins)
Sharp
Philips
Samsung
Pioneer

"Ey, you, your Hyundai's bin callin' our Pioneer names."
