I'm 39 + 4 and am really over this (much wanted!) pregnancy. I'm not sleeping and today have cried at just about everything. Husband is being incredibly patient but feel guilty that I'm prob not best company for him or DS (3) right now.

Why why does the last month of pregnancy feel about 1000 days long?

Anyone else out there?

billybigballs · 06/09/2018 23:03

Thanks everyone, been busy getting to know eachother. After the long walk yesterday i started getting quite regular non painful Braxton Hicks which within about 3 hours were every 7 minutes. Came home from a birthday party and had a bath which made them into much more painful proper contractions every 4 minutes. Delivery suite weren't initially interested in seeing me until they were every 3 but I called back as they were just so intense. Good job I did go in as I went from 3cm to her being born in about 45 minutes. Still can't quite believe it!

pooch904 · 07/09/2018 00:34

The same happened to me because my contractions were in my back and shorter in the front they didn't class it as the length of time for a contraction! They told me to wait until the full 3 minutes were in my front (they never got to that) I couldn't even lay down as she was so low throughout the labour, I spent the labouring sat on the toilet! It was only because my waters broke that they took me in. They examined me at 3cm and said I had to wait an hour for pain relief (till I reached 4cm) and hour later came and I was delivering her so got no pain relief either! Xx

Well done ladies!! Two perfect labour stories right there!xx

FedUpEffedOff · 07/09/2018 08:08

Hello again - beautiful boy arrived at 6.28pm yesterday after us waiting from 8am to be called forward for the ELCS. I was totally delirious with hunger by then! Anyway, all went well and he is gorgeous - we are smitten. Good luck to those still waiting Thanks

Rachelweasel · 07/09/2018 11:03

I'm 36+5 today and desperate for this baby to come! He's head down and 1/5 engaged. Pressing on my bladder all-day long and SO active. He doesn't stop moving which I know is good but my ribs are so painful :(
To know it could be another 5 weeks is hard.
Also know how lucky we are and that none of it really matters as long as he arrives safely.

billybigballs · 07/09/2018 11:40

Aw he's gorgeous. Congratulations.

We were back to back too pooch! I never even got any pain really in my front, and they wanted me to lie on my back so they could monitor the heartbeat which was almost unbearable! Glad it was fast.

Ohh he’s beautiful!!! 😍😍😍congratulations! Just had midwife 4/5 engaged 38 weeks today, fed up!! Told me to have plenty of sex 🙄

orphanblack1 · 08/09/2018 18:21

Congrats FedUp!!! How gorgeous!!!

I’m seriously depressed and just want this baby out now. I can’t do anything as fat and exhausted. We went out for lunch today and it was just rubbish - spent whole time wanting to be lying down at home as so uncomfortable. Just no bloody sign of this baby coming.

Have a c section booked for weds which am seriously considering just going for now as so fed up. Otherwise it’s a sweep next fri. Just think he’s not gonna come until October at this rate and might end up with c section anyway and am back to work in April. Hate fact I’m missing out on time with him as was too knackered to carry on at work!!!

And worst thing is we need to start trying again in a year cos of my age!!!!!

Mississippilessly · 08/09/2018 21:02

40+4 here. Fucked off. The house needs cleaning but I dont have the energy. Im not sleeping brilliantly.

GET. IT. OUT.

Alicia870 · 09/09/2018 04:00

So miserable. 37.5 weeks. It’s 4am, I’m exhausted but can’t skeep. Literally up every ten mins to dribble a pathetic amount of pee. My ribs are in agony and have been for months. I have shooting pains in my vagina. I can hardly walk up the stairs. Had my baby shower today and for most part put on a brave face but on the few occasions I did tell the truth and express to friends I’m having a hard time they laughed and made jokes about it which made me so cross and feel so pathetic. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done! It’s been months of relentless pain and now I’m so scared to give birth. I can’t believr how hard it is!!

LucyLou19 · 09/09/2018 07:57

38+2 here my middle daughter was here this time last pregnancy 🙄and two people with same due date had their babies 3rd and 7th September! So just tried sex again,to be fair wasn’t a chore did enjoy it but showing no signs at all for labour.
Did feel crap last night, felt sick and not myself but as per lead to nothing xx

orphanblack1 · 10/09/2018 09:35

Ladies. I don’t know what to do. 39 weeks today and have a c section booked for weds. No medical reason for it but I have good reasons so they’re allowing it but it’s not a necessity.

Just called up to see if can move it to next week as am not sure but they have no theatre space next week so need to make a decision.

Recovery time putting me off but that said, at least would know he’d be here safe and he’s doing his not moving thing again (he does this from time to time and everything’s always fine but he makes me worry)

Just don’t know what to do and really need to make a decision - help!!!!

sososotired · 10/09/2018 19:59

@orphanblack1 I would take the section date that you already have, yes recovery will be longer but if you have a reason for wanting a section in the first place and you have a time slot why give it up?

LucyLou19 · 10/09/2018 21:17

Cleaned all day too to bottom, had a clary sage oil bath tonight now on my gym ball with clary sage oil in my burner. Baby is absolutely on one tonight Moving all over, pressure down below is unbearable xx

marriageoftrueminds · 10/09/2018 21:44

Hi all, can I join?! I’m only 38 weeks but so over this now! Feel sick all the time due to reflux and can’t sleep. I’m cross with myself too because I should be up and about, cleaning house etc, bit instead I just lounge about feeling aimless!
