I'm 39 + 4 and am really over this (much wanted!) pregnancy. I'm not sleeping and today have cried at just about everything. Husband is being incredibly patient but feel guilty that I'm prob not best company for him or DS (3) right now.

Why why does the last month of pregnancy feel about 1000 days long?

Anyone else out there?

Oh, and the pubic bone pain, (is it SPD, PGP?) is getting worse daily. Really bloody sore the last two nights in bed!

billybigballs · 01/09/2018 20:07

No update here. Went for a long walk, nothing. Getting quite a few of the fanny dagger pains but I've been having them for weeks. Lost the plot earlier when I saw Dec's wife gave birth today, and she isn't due until end of the month Blush

Yeah, every bloody film I watch at the moment (Bridget Jones baby, age before beauty) they’re going into labour even though they’re not “due for another 2-3 weeks” and I’m thinkimg you jammy bastards rub it in why don’t you!!!

orphanblack1 · 01/09/2018 20:11

@pooch904 - this is why I wang to move to rural France - away from every other fucker!!!!

pooch904 · 02/09/2018 07:24

@orphanblack1 rural France sounds amazing! ... preferably with no phone signal!!
@Billybigballs I spent yesterday watching call the midwife in pure rage! Why do we do it to ourselves?!!

PirateWeasel · 02/09/2018 08:25

I have 18 days to go till due date and it feels like a lifetime...especially when I know it could be late as well 😭 Definitely haven't been one of these glowing earth mama types who get all sentimental over pregnancy! Can't wait to get it over with, get my baby in my arms, and get on with being a mum!

pooch904 · 02/09/2018 09:52

@pirateweasel please prepare yourself for going overdue as I didn't! Everyone thought I'd be early as babies stayed so low throughout and had back end symptoms from half way through 2nd trimester! So now I'm 9 days over and devastated I wish I'd not worked myself up for baby arriving on time. So much easier said than done! Xxx

Knittingteapot · 02/09/2018 17:24

It seems like everyone I follow on Instagram who was due around me Haa had their baby already! Even in the book I was reading, the main character had her twins early. I've also binge watched Call the Midwife in the last few months. Feel like I'm prepared for anything now though - in a very 1950s way! 40+6 today...

Knittingteapot · 02/09/2018 17:25

And by months, I actually meant weeks fortnight

Squeakyheart · 02/09/2018 18:28

32 weeks and struggling already! Thought it was just me feeling crap mood wise so glad to hear I’m not the only one. My DD was 10 days early so I keep pinning my hopes on that!

LaPufalina · 03/09/2018 05:31

Been awake since 2.30 with insomnia Sad I'm having my section on weds and could really do with sleeping before then as I won't get much afterwards with a newborn and a 21mo Confused the more I try to sleep the more worked up I get! Pregnancy insomnia just doesn't make any sense to me, and I'm sulking about it!

PirateWeasel · 03/09/2018 10:46

Aww insomnia sucks! If another person tells me to "make the most of this time before the baby arrives" I may punch them! I think mother nature makes the last few weeks of pregnancy horrid on purpose to make us so desperate to get the baby out that were not scared of labour and delivery any more, lol! X

orphanblack1 · 03/09/2018 12:09

Oh god yes, with you on that one! A friend of mine “helpfully” said that yesterday and that there was no “pause button” when baby’s here. Just fuck off. So sick of people saying oooh you’ll have no rest, sleep or otherwise! Yes, but I’ll have a baby!!! Much better than now!!! I was crying eyes out last night as couldn’t sleep as so uncomfortable, then next doors fucking builders outside front of our house cutting bloody paving tiles - dust all over our house/cars, not to mention the noise - even though they’ve been told a million times to go round corner into neighbours garden - are they bloody thick or something?! Grrrrr, you can tell I’ve had enough.

However, I currently have a cake baking in oven for my OH (and me obvs!) and I love baking so that’s a good thing.

38 weeks today - come on little man - if you come out now I’ll buy you a bloody pony!!!

billybigballs · 03/09/2018 14:36

Pregnancy insomnia is the worst.

I'm officially 'overdue' now and I have to say it's almost a relief. I have a new feeling of calm having got the EDD over with. But also feel silly as I've been pretty much expecting the baby to arrive any day since 36 weeks.

@billy I’m 37+2 and I can’t even imagine going overdue at all the thought severely depresses me!! I’m still at work till Thursday though then I can chill xx

sososotired · 03/09/2018 19:56

I'm 37 + 3 and utterly fed up! I need this baby to come out!!!
I feel sorry for my DS 5 I have no energy to play with him and no patients! I cry like a dick at everything like missing a delivery! And I'm beyond uncomfortable and miserable 😭 midwife and doctor are refusing to induce me till I'm over due!

LucyLou19 · 03/09/2018 20:02

I’m same stage as you @sosotired it’s miserable isn’t it!! I’m still at work till Thursday. Currently bouncing on my ball on with the raspberry tea and keeping really active xx

sososotired · 03/09/2018 20:35

It's really not nice! Definitely not having any more kids lol!
Been active and nesting like one sort of insane person but nothing brings satisfaction! I was at MAU over the weekend and found myself angry at the ladies having babies in im there on a drip and a monitor, telling the doctor to please take the kid out, and he just laughed! I was deadly serious!
@LucyLou19 I feel bad for you still being at work! I managed to work till 38 weeks with my ds but this time round I'm just not feeling it!

LucyLou19 · 03/09/2018 20:52

Kids go back to school on Wednesday hoping I can chill when they’re back and I leave work and baby will think it’s time to come xx

billybigballs · 04/09/2018 01:48

I'm awake feeling very agitated with restless legs and a very very active baby. Is that a sign of impending labour?!

Tetri · 04/09/2018 01:52

I recently went to 42 weeks and then finally got induced so I feel your pain OP. I had sciatica, sinus infections, heartburn, insomnia and a little foot lodged right in my ribs for agesGrin. It doesn't seem like it now but the time will pass!

billybigballs · 04/09/2018 02:20

Thanks tetri

That sounds horrible. Funny though how you forget as soon as they arrive.

NelleB · 04/09/2018 05:00

37+1 I can’t stay awake after 3pm but i’m part of the wide awake club come 3:30am. Is this it now? Will I never sleep again? Is my body preparing me for a newborn?!
I’m tired just lying here thinking about this afternoon 😴😩

Stuckforthefourthtime · 04/09/2018 05:08

40 weeks, nearing the end of school holidays with my older three DCs, on crutches with SPD, and completely over it! Thank goodness school starts tomorrow, maybe then my body will relax enough for the last week of horrible stop start labour to turn into something real...
Keep trying to treasure my final pregnancy and time alone with my kids before the next arrives, but my DH is really busy with work, I'm barely sleeping and I just wish I could get some rest Sad

LucyLou19 · 04/09/2018 06:55

So 37+4 and had sex this morning nothings happened like haha the mood just took us but now read a few things and wondering if I am ready it might start things. At work today so gonna keep active xx
