funnypeculiar · 06/06/2007 22:17

I like Orlando - although somehow shades of Orinoco for me! (Like Orinoco too!!)

Hatrick - had forgotten you were another owner of a Thea

MrsMarvel · 06/06/2007 22:22

If it's a literary name you want, Orlando has that Shakespearian connection, but fat people and dolphins unfortunately do spring to mind as Saadia says. I knew an Ophelia once and we called her Felix, so Orlando may turn into Landy? or Orly? Worth thinking about. Nice name if you're Italian I think. Isn't there a journalist called Orlando Bloom?

FWIW my daughter has a quite unusual name and I'm so glad now that we have met a couple of others with the same, but for a while I did feel I may have made a mistake .

mummyto2littleprincess · 06/06/2007 22:25

M2LP
Of course he's not a journalist! How could I have forgotten! He's Legolas Greenleaf from the Lord of the Rings. I had a distant memory saying "over to Orlando Bloom in the New York Studio".
Bah.
Now Legolas, there's a nice name...
