Sorry just realised that is not at all reassuring - I think the majority of people will feel fine but like any medical thing, some people may have a bad reaction to it and feel quite sick. But don’t worry it’s definitely not the worst thing I’ve done this pregnancy!

Buttercup53 I hope it goes well for you.
How long does it take before you get the result?

Buttercup53 · 26/09/2018 11:15

I’m home! All done, and no where near as bad as I was anticipating (hopefully labour is the same). @riskit they said that I would be contacted most likely tomorrow if I am diabetic, or on Friday. So you find out really quickly.

Oh that's quick!
I'm happy to hear that it wasn't too bad. I hope your test will be clear.

I'm currently packing to go to my parents' for the weekend (well, Thursday - Tuesday).
I thought I'd be find with hand luggage only, and that was a terrible mistake. I have some birthday presents for both of my parents (celebrating this weekend), plus two cardigans where my mum wants one and I'll keep the other, and I barely have space for my own stuff, and I've really tried not to over-pack.

Also, my DH (well, BF) and I are getting married in 6 weeks time. We've been together for 10 years or so, but we'd like to get married before I give birth, just to make sure all of the legal stuff is in order.
It'll just be him and me at the registry office, but we've bought rings and I'm looking at getting a new dress, which is fun :)

Hi guys! Hope all is well. Last time I posted on here I posted about feeling my groin stretching. That developed into a bit of back pain (lower right side) then the next day my left leg had swollen like a balloon! I called the midwife and she told me to go to A&E. The doctor suspected DVT and gave me some anticoagulants and sent me for a scan. Luckily, it wasn’t DVT and the doctor guesse I might have just put too much pressure on my left leg to make it swell. He said it wasn’t linked to the back pain and the groin pain (which can be a symptom of DVT) was probably normal stretching.

Moral of the story: don’t ignore any sort of pains and speak to your midwife. Also, if one leg is more swollen than the other - get it checked out!

And to think we were considering a last min holiday to Asia with an 11hr flight LOL

I’m 25 weeks and I haven’t established any sort of pattern. I have noticed some of his kicks are more painful that others (like near where I used to get period pains??) does anyone else have this?

Pelly8 · 26/09/2018 11:44

Oh i’ve put on 8kg since I got preggers. I was a bit worried but can’t be arsed to be worried anymore as being in A&E (and seeing how sick some people really were) made me realise there are bigger things to worry about than weight! Kick back and enjoying yourselves.

Ironytheoppositeofwrinkly · 26/09/2018 20:14

I feel so lucky. The consultant had given us a less than 5% chance of a good outcome!

cryptonaut · 26/09/2018 21:13

It just goes to show that even a small chance is a chance nonetheless :)
