Am I worrying needlessly?!

Hi guys, I'm reasonably young but I'm not sure if I'm pregnant- I know to be certain I need to see a GP (I'm doing it this week but I would like peace of mind). I'm not sure if I'm pregnant, I have a lot of signs telling me I'm not, e.g regular periods since I started when I was 13/ I have no other pregnancy symptoms apart from nausea but I haven't actually been sick so I guessed it was PMS/I've had stomach cramps but again put it down to PMS. I've had back pain- but I've had a bad back for a couple of years from the sport I do.
Me and my boyfriend use a condom every time but that's the only method of birth-control, as far as I know the condom has never split- but I know there is always a chance it failed.
I have however had unusual bloating for a couple of months when I first got it I put it down to PMS, but its continued for a while this is the main reason I think I'm pregnant. Being very sporty I always had a flat stomach but now I don't, although tbh I don't even know if it is bloating as I've heard bloating is hard, but when you push my abdomen its soft and squishy-Is this what a pregnancy bump is like? Also I've read you can feel the top of the uterus above the pubic bone- do you know how many weeks you start to feel this from as I have no clue how far along I am because of the regular bleeding.
I know I have had monthly bleeding, but I've read that you can bleed monthly and still be pregnant- how common is this- is it anything like a period, e.g does pregnancy bleeding just come at anytime, rather than on a cycle like a period does?? Is there any physical difference in the way the blood looks colour/consistency?? How’s long does pregnancy bleeding last e.g 5-7 days like a period or does it vary??
Or are thy just exactly the same?
(I don’t mean spotting I mean physical bleeding during pregnancy- as I know some women have been pregnant and mistaken it for a period ??)
I hope they are my periods as they don't seem different to usual and they come regularly. I really cant be pregnant and I'm getting anxiety over it, I'm crying because of it- can someone please reassure me.
also I've had a bad cough for about a month and I've lost 6kg in two months without trying if this helps?!
Also taken 3 pregnancy tests all negative!

please let me know if I'm worrying unnecessarily??

Thanks x

If the pain is in the upper part of your abdomen then it's more likely to be stomach/liver related.
Pregnancy related pains are lower abdomen until late on.

crl200 · 08/08/2018 12:36

I know GP was going to do tests on liver and kidneys

There are many things your symptoms could point to, some serious, some not. Pregnancy really isn’t one of them though. If you want furyher advice on your symptoms I would repost this in general health rather than pregnancy, you’ll get a wider range of views. Hopefully your blood results will be back soon.

crl200 · 08/08/2018 13:14

I've posted on the health section now

have a few more symptoms, stitch like pain in collar bones headaches are getting worse, now have neckache a fatigue, GP said expect results 48-72 hours already been over 48? surely if it was serious they would have already contacted me?

It depends on how quickly the lab processes the blood, then it has to be sent to the GP to review. I’m sure you’ll hear tomorrow.

MyKingdomForBrie · 08/08/2018 19:16

A lot of your newer symptoms are likely to be stress related due to your anxiety.

None of your symptoms suggest pregnancy, absolutely none.

crl200 · 08/08/2018 19:18

I know everyone on here says its not, but I've heard of people who have had period like bleeding all through their pregnancy and not realised...that just cant be me

Yes it can happen crl200, I don’t think anyone here is denying that. It’s rare but it can happen. However that coupled with multiple negative pregnancy tests and the fact that the rest of your symptoms point to other issues mean that in your situation pregnancy would not be one of the things I was worrying about.
I know at 17 pregnancy can feel like ‘worst case scenario’ and that’s why you’re fixating on it, but you are not pregnant.

crl200 · 08/08/2018 19:26

Thank you for your advice, I know I'm just getting very stressed out over it! Are 4 pregnancy tests reliable? I was planning to get a few more tomorrow- just to confirm- or am I being obsessive?

OP posts:
fairgame84 · 08/08/2018 19:30

You don't need anymore pregnancy tests. You are not pregnant.
Wait for your blood results.

SoyDora · 08/08/2018 19:47

Wait for your blood results from the GP and go from there. If you haven’t heard anything tomorrow give them a call.

crl200 · 08/08/2018 20:29

I hope the GP comes back with something otherwise I think my stress and anxiety will worsen, does anyone have any tips on how to cope with this?x

SoyDora · 08/08/2018 20:32

If the blood tests don’t show anything then book another appointment with the GP and push for further testing. Also explain how anxious you are. Anxiety can cause symptoms to worsen.

crl200 · 08/08/2018 21:45

Do you usually know you're pregnant before 24 weeks, as that is the maximum time you can get a termination. I'm not anxious to be pregnant, I'm anxious that I'm too far pregnant along to do anything about it...do you have a clear bump by the time 24 weeks comes...especially as I'm a skinny girl ???

OP posts:
SoyDora · 08/08/2018 21:50

I don’t think there’s anything else anyone can say to reassure you that you’re not pregnant, you’re not going to believe them anyway.
I hope you get your blood results tomorrow.

Loulabelle25 · 08/08/2018 21:57

You are not pregnant. You have been given that advice repeatedly - accept it.

physicskate · 08/08/2018 22:08

Most people get a positive pregnancy test around 4-5 weeks pregnant and almost certainly by 6 weeks.

It seems to me you have a lot of symptoms that you think are pregnancy symptoms but aren't. I'm not sure if it would make your anxiety worse and then you'd start imagining that you have the symptoms if you did a bit of research into what the actually are?

Good luck. You aren't pregnant!!!!

BertrandRussell · 08/08/2018 22:45

You are not pregnant.

Sandstormbrewing · 08/08/2018 22:57

You are not pregnant. The symptoms you describe are not pregnancy symptoms.

Mrstobe90 · 08/08/2018 23:09

From what you've said, there is no possible way that you are pregnant.

Many people have said this but it sounds like you don't want to accept it.

I used to suffer with health anxiety and I know how hard it is but I promise you, most of what you are describing are symptoms of anxiety itself.
Anxiety is just as much a physical illness as it is a mental one.
The bloating could easily be from IBS due to stress.

If the blood tests come back that you are not pregnant, which they definitely will, you need to accept it.
Blood tests can not be wrong about it.

Botanica · 08/08/2018 23:47

I'm really hoping this is indeed genuine and not someone having some holiday fun and then coming back to post - Surprise! You were all wrong!

crl200 · 09/08/2018 06:06

@trust me I wish this was a joke

OP posts:
PurpleFlower1983 · 09/08/2018 07:47

Did yo my tell your doctor your concerns about pregnancy? The blood tests you have had sound very routine. The GP will be able to rule it out and put your mind at rest. Health anxiety can make you think all sorts.

crl200 · 09/08/2018 08:08

Do you think the nausea felling is just anxiety?
