Am I worrying needlessly?!

Hi guys, I'm reasonably young but I'm not sure if I'm pregnant- I know to be certain I need to see a GP (I'm doing it this week but I would like peace of mind). I'm not sure if I'm pregnant, I have a lot of signs telling me I'm not, e.g regular periods since I started when I was 13/ I have no other pregnancy symptoms apart from nausea but I haven't actually been sick so I guessed it was PMS/I've had stomach cramps but again put it down to PMS. I've had back pain- but I've had a bad back for a couple of years from the sport I do.
Me and my boyfriend use a condom every time but that's the only method of birth-control, as far as I know the condom has never split- but I know there is always a chance it failed.
I have however had unusual bloating for a couple of months when I first got it I put it down to PMS, but its continued for a while this is the main reason I think I'm pregnant. Being very sporty I always had a flat stomach but now I don't, although tbh I don't even know if it is bloating as I've heard bloating is hard, but when you push my abdomen its soft and squishy-Is this what a pregnancy bump is like? Also I've read you can feel the top of the uterus above the pubic bone- do you know how many weeks you start to feel this from as I have no clue how far along I am because of the regular bleeding.
I know I have had monthly bleeding, but I've read that you can bleed monthly and still be pregnant- how common is this- is it anything like a period, e.g does pregnancy bleeding just come at anytime, rather than on a cycle like a period does?? Is there any physical difference in the way the blood looks colour/consistency?? How’s long does pregnancy bleeding last e.g 5-7 days like a period or does it vary??
Or are thy just exactly the same?
(I don’t mean spotting I mean physical bleeding during pregnancy- as I know some women have been pregnant and mistaken it for a period ??)
I hope they are my periods as they don't seem different to usual and they come regularly. I really cant be pregnant and I'm getting anxiety over it, I'm crying because of it- can someone please reassure me.
also I've had a bad cough for about a month and I've lost 6kg in two months without trying if this helps?!
Also taken 3 pregnancy tests all negative!

please let me know if I'm worrying unnecessarily??

Thanks x

Thank you so much for all your advice guys, I guess I probably am just wound up about being pregnant as I am young and it scares me, GP has given me medication for both stomach cramps and some gastro-resistant tablets, so hopefully these help.
TBH the thing which bothers me the most is the stomach bloating as it knocks my confidence, especially as I am going on holiday soon!

Have you tried cutting out dairy for a few days? You can get temporary lactose intolerance (effectively ibs) which causes lots of bloating. I also had a slightly painful tummy. I then reintroduced very slowly after a few months with probiotics and it was better. Hard cheese is usually ok or get lactose free dairy.

crl200 · 06/08/2018 21:10

No, but I’ll see if that works I think GP was going to check for wheat intolerance but not sure about dairy

Also I never used to burp but recently after every thing I eat I feel the need to burp or belch?! Has anyone else experienced this?x

Definitely sounds like a food intolerance, at least you’ve started the process of finding out what it is.

Ekphrasis · 07/08/2018 09:15

If they're testing for gluten (coeliac) don't give up that yet. They won't test for dairy (it's the lactose that causes the issue, basically your gut flora has changed and the enzymes that break it down aren't being produced so you get loads of bloating ) so just try cutting it out for a decent time, eg a month. Yes the burping issues I had with ibs/ lactose intolerance. It can be temporary in some people, sometimes following a bad tummy bug, lots of stress or antibiotics.

Ekphrasis · 07/08/2018 09:18

The fodmaps diet can be helpful but don't cut gluten till you know you don't have coeliacs disease and you've had a test (ask gp).

Stress can cause stomach problems and it sounds like you are really wound up.

Definitely does not sound like you are pregnant.

crl200 · 07/08/2018 10:44

Thank you i definitely think I am stressed and wound up about it but that’s only recently, I’ve had these symptoms for a couple of months, but maybe the stress made it worse x

This bloating is really affecting my confidence, my boyfriend asked me about it, I just wish I knew what was happening, the stomach cramps are continuing even though I have medicine, does anyone have any confidence tips on how to handle my bloating?xx

How does he “ask about it.?”

SoyDora · 07/08/2018 16:19

Have you told him about your various symptoms and the fact that you’ve seen a GP and are having blood tests?

crl200 · 07/08/2018 16:26

He just asked if I was okay as he said I looked more bloated and I explained I was going to the doctors, I didn’t however mention that I was worried it was pregnancy

OP posts:
SoyDora · 07/08/2018 16:38

No point mentioning pregnancy as I’d say there’s a 99.9% chance that it’s not that.

crl200 · 07/08/2018 16:42

Yeah I think that’s best thank so much for the reassurance, I can cope with a changed diet but I couldn’t cope with a baby!

OP posts:
BertrandRussell · 07/08/2018 16:44

It sounds as if the way he's asking is affecting your confidence-is that right?
Do you still think you might be pregnant?

crl200 · 07/08/2018 17:28

Yeah I just hate that he’s noticed, I still have a niggle I’m the back of my mind that I am but the people on here have made me see that that is unlikely

Also I've had headaches which feel like my head is being pushed in if anyone has any advice for this ?x

Maybe post in general health rather than pregnancy.

Sandstormbrewing · 07/08/2018 20:32

You are not pregnant. And to be honest, with those symptoms I don't know why you are worried you are pregnant. Are you possibly masking your anxiety about a more serious health issue with something scary but manageable like pregnancy?

crl200 · 07/08/2018 20:36

I don't know I think its the bloating that's affected me most, I think its because I've heard of shock stories of women bleeding during pregnancy and mistaking it for their period

OP posts:
crl200 · 08/08/2018 07:54

Has anyone had bleeding during pregnancy which they thought was their period so they missed that they were pregnant?? If so looking back were there any differences between your period and the actual bleeding you had (colour/texture/timing/regularity/)???

OP posts:
SoyDora · 08/08/2018 08:00

crl200 you really need to stop fixating on being pregnant. You are having periods, all pregnancy tests are negative, your symptoms aren’t typical to pregnancy. You are not pregnant. I know you’re young and pregnancy feels like the end of the world and that’s why you’re panicking about it, but you are not pregnant.

Sandstormbrewing · 08/08/2018 12:11

Look. I don't want to be mean and I know that no-one on this thread wants to day it but I'm going to. If I were you, I'd me more concerned about ovarian or cervical cancer with your symptoms.

crl200 · 08/08/2018 12:24

Sandstormbrewing , I have thought about that but my abdomen is tender above my bellybutton so I wrote it off as I thought pain for those cancers would be lower down?
