I'm 20 weeks today, still trying to take one day at a time, I thought I felt kind of movements a few weeks ago but I haven't felt it recently, who knows what is going on!

Passtheaftereights I think you just have to take it one day at a time, be kind to yourself, the amount you worry does not affect the outcome is what I tell myself.

Athers666 · 02/08/2018 17:20

@spongebobgrannypants Oh lovely news xx

Athers666 · 02/08/2018 20:32

Just threw up massively after having no sickness at all in the first trimester. Have googled it and now I'm worried of course! Will contact my surgery tomorrow if I feel worse overnight or on the morning. Luckily I'm off work tomorrow! Back in on saturday though 😣

PassTheAfterEights · 02/08/2018 20:43

@peachesarenom you are quite right, even DH asked if I might do another test but tbh would rather spend the £££ on the scan, and it doesn't change the outcome to keep POAS. Congratulations on getting to 20 weeks! 🎉 glad the scan went well @spongebobgrannypants :D
@athers666 was about to cheer for you but do see why you're worried, hope it is just part of the normal course & that you don't feel any worse x

Athers666 · 02/08/2018 20:48

@passtheaftereights Thank you. May just have overdone it today in the heat or something? In other news DH can feel the baby booting me from the outside now which is kind of cool, although I think it freaks him out a little!

Alicejj8x · 03/08/2018 07:30

I'm 11
+4 today and feeling great now for the past couple days. Nausea off and on but usually in evenings.

I had a scan Monday and baby was fine in there & a heart beat of 172 so trying to remain calm and just think where I'm nearly in 2nd trimester that this is normal.

@Athers666 With my first two I vomited spectacularly at 13/14 weeks both times! Maybe a hormone surge or something. Caught me off guard though as that was the point I had started feeling better! Bodies do funny things when we're pregnant.
Are you feeling well otherwise? No temp or anything?

OP posts:
Cakelaur · 03/08/2018 09:00

@Athers666 don't worry about it. I randomly vomit now with not much warning. Generally in the evenings. I ha me horrible sickness from 10-16 weeks. Then it passed then the last week or two I've had sickness some evenings. I think it's just hormones.

@PassTheAfterEights I set little mini milestones for myself. (That weren't too far away) so i did get to the first 6 weeks scan. Then get to the 8 week check up scan. Then get past the point where I had mmc last time. Then get to 10 weeks scan. Then get to 12 week scan. (Then I got a doppler 🙈 so I could survive without 100 scans) then it was get to the size of an avocado. Then get to 19 weeks (when you flick from Epu to triage) then get to 20weeks. Now with placenta previa it's changed slightly cos I was gonna relax a little now. But now it's get to 24 week consultant without a bleed, and then get to 30 weeks. Once I'm there what will be will be. Sounds silly. But each little milestone i get past, makes me feel better. And it's more manageable in my opinion. Cos 40 weeks is a LOOOONG time!!

Athers666 · 03/08/2018 09:48

@spongebobgrannypants I'm ok thanks. No more sickness and headache still there but not severe. Hope it was a one off!
@cakelaur I'm breaking mine up into milestones too! I have to have extra growth scans later on but my friend pointed out I'll get to see the baby more!
Still in a daze about having a little boy, so exciting, really can't focus at work as I keep daydreaming about it all!

Alicejj8x · 03/08/2018 11:26

Has anyone went for a wee and then had a sharp pain for a few seconds in one hand side of the stomach like ovary type area

Cakelaur · 03/08/2018 13:02

@Alicejj8x I had it once. But I had been holding my wee for ages (long car journey) if it happens again it could be a sign of a bladder infection!

Ladies we have a name (I think) Benjamin Alexander

Alicejj8x · 03/08/2018 13:12

@Cakelaur
Ahh ok I was holding my wee for a good 10-20 mins as I had a doctors appointment this morning for what I thought was a water infection but she checked all my wee and was all normal but they still like to send it off she said. So I'm hoping maybe it was from holding my wee

Beck1988 · 03/08/2018 16:28

Well December is definitely a boys month 💙👶🏻
Baby was facing down so not really any good pics but it did do a proper wave at his sister! X

Finally this baby has settled down after kicking and punching me all day long, he keeps whacking the same spot and it's getting a bit sore, am worried as it already hurts and he's still teensy!

clairehr · 04/08/2018 10:41

Beck1988 · 04/08/2018 13:00

Patienceofatoddler · 04/08/2018 15:08

Congratulations @clairehr

Ohh @Beck1988 that's look super snazzy what one is it?

Patienceofatoddler · 04/08/2018 15:18

Still felt no movement yet but keep reminding myself I'm on 16w 4days.

My first consultant appointment went great on Friday - she seemed really down to earth and agrees with a more hands off approach and fully supports me to want to deliver at another trust 100 miles away so just going to try enjoy these next few weeks and just hope I don't get the symptoms I've had before..

I found my favourite Rainbow Stars woven wrap which I bought for my daughter. It's the little things which bring so much happiness isn't it - I cannot wait to be able to use it again - Never used it from newborn but as it will be a winter baby I should be able to Star

I'm finally starting to feel like this is actually happening.

Beck1988 · 04/08/2018 17:11

@patienceofatoddler it's a mima xari but the colour is discontinued so it was on sale! Get free footmuff coloured inserts & rain cover too. X
