Great scans ladies 😍
Congrats and welcome! Private scan sounds like a good plan I think @PassTheAfterEights

Who's at their 20 week scan tomorrow? I have mine! Really nervous. Baby kicking away fine today so I'm not particularly concerned about history repeating itself, but I'm just very worried they'll discover something else. Also silly worries like I'll be in the same room or have the same somographer as last time, although I'm pretty sure it's the consultant who's doing it tomorrow. I just want to know baby is healthy, but there are so many triggers at the maternity hospital which could send me off and I hate crying in front of people!

P.S. I think I need some good baby name distraction! Who's started thinking of names?

Unsure if we'll find out sex tomorrow but if we can I'd like to know. Have been team yellow in the past and it's great, but keen to know this time. I'm sure it's a boy. Dh thinks girl. I'd like to focus on just one list of names though!

@spongebobgrannypants sending you positive vibes for tomorrow. I was a wreck before mine so I know how pointless it is saying try and relax😂 But once I got in there I was ok and luckily the lady was really nice. Let us know how you get on won't you xx

Beck1988 · 01/08/2018 20:34

@spongebobgrannypants i have mine on Friday an getting nervous now! Baby still moving but also scared they will find something else wrong especially as my lil girl is coming to Scan with us to see if it's a brother or sister for her!

Cakelaur · 01/08/2018 20:38

@MisBit1 don't worry about measuring small. My bub measured small 5+2 when should have been 6+1. But by the time I got to 8 weeks it was measuring normal again. They're so tiny at that point that it's hard for them to measure totally accurately. A heartbeat is amazing. That's all you need at this stage.

Yay that you got to tell DH in person @PassTheAfterEights bet he was thrilled. And a scan for Saturday... eek!!! So soon!!! How exciting and hopefully you've missed a whole month!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Good luck for tomorrow @SpongeBobGrannyPants now we're team blue 💙 we're struggling with names. we had the perfect girl name. But boys names we have no clue!! Haha

leanne9312 · 01/08/2018 22:18

@i think I'm calling my little one jack :)

peachesarenom · 01/08/2018 22:56

Welcome to the boys club Athers666! I've only bought rediculous, impractical clothing so far!

Beck1988 · 02/08/2018 08:31

Good luck for the scans today! One more sleep for me! X

rdm10 · 02/08/2018 08:59

@PassTheAfterEights congratulations!

Lots of lovely scan pictures at the moment. I’m very jealous of you all at 20 weeks. I’m only 10+4 (hopefully. Just waiting for a scan) and 20 weeks just seems so far away.
At what point did you start relaxing and enjoying your pregnancies? I’m still at the point of expecting it all to end at any moment so the thought of enjoying it seems so far away. I’m still on regular knicker checks and still expecting blood every time.

Athers666 · 02/08/2018 09:57

@rdm10 Aww, you'll get there! I really did feel like forever for me though, so I know how you're feeling! Although somehow I had made it to 20 weeks and getting kicked and whacked by the little bean on a regular basis. Only now am I relaxing a little and not checking for blood as often!
When is everyone planning to buy stuff? It seems way too early yet but I just don't know when to start getting organised?!

Alicejj8x · 02/08/2018 10:27

@Athers666
I am just too organised so I am going to start getting a few little bits after the 12 week scan had a scan Monday and I was 11 weeks and everything was perfect but just doesn't feel right to get anything till I've had that 12 week mark if you get me

Then I'll get little bits some baby grows unisex of course and then when I find out the gender that's when I'll
Start getting more bits x

HidCat · 02/08/2018 11:18

@Athers666 if I get the all clear at 12 weeks I'll start planning. We've got to sort out our stuff from DS first then I'll know what I need / want to buy this time around.

rdm10 · 02/08/2018 11:45

It’s not good news I’m afraid. Scan today showed baby has no heartbeat. Should be 10+4 but seems baby stopped growing at 9+6. Absolutely devastated. Can’t believe this has happened twice. I just wasn’t expecting it, 6wk and 8wk scans showed everything was ok and I’ve been so nauseous, even up to this morning. So unfair.

Cakelaur · 02/08/2018 11:57

@rdm10 oh babe I'm so so sorry!! I'm heartbroken for you! No words can fix this. Be kind to yourself and I hope you've got loads of support around you!! Another angel too good for this world. Xx

PassTheAfterEights · 02/08/2018 12:00

Oh God @rdm10 was just about to post reply to your first then read your latest - can't believe it. I'm so sorry. What an awful shock. Hope you have lots of kind support IRL while you process this, will be thinking of you & here all the way if you need - huge huge hugs xxxx

Cakelaur · 02/08/2018 12:00

I've not bought anything yet. For fear of it all ending. Now I'm 20weeks and my placenta is in the way of the birth canal I've been advised to get everything done and ready by 30weeks. We're away for a couple of weeks until beginning of September (I'll be 25 weeks when we get back) so it'll be a rush to get it all sorted. Might start on the nursery this next week or so. 😁 we've chosen most of the big bits, we just have to go get it.

PassTheAfterEights · 02/08/2018 12:07

Thanks & good luck for tomorrow @Beck1988 hope it's a good one x
Thanks @peachesarenom it's all soo unsettling. Boobs feel significantly less sore today, still very aware slash crampy in uterus and now desperate to feel sick; only had slightest waves of nausea and all feels so precarious.
@cakelaur ah thank you, he was over the moon, said he had a feeling this month - just trying to keep us both calm now; and can't wait for Sat - I honestly don't care where we are if we're healthy just would be sooo nice to feel that much closer to the end of first tri. But hyper aware much could still go wrong either way.
@athers666 desperate to shop, fully planning to live vicariously via all your lovely purchases! first stop might be some mat leggings for myself if Sat goes well, feeling all kinds of tight round the middle :(

Athers666 · 02/08/2018 12:12

@rdm10 Oh I've just seen your update. I'm just so so sorry. How horribly cruel life is. Especially after you'd seen a heartbeat previously. I hope you have a good support network around you and I hope you can find some peace. Once again, I am so very sorry for your loss and you're in my thoughts x

Alicejj8x · 02/08/2018 12:23

@rdm10
I am so so sorry to hear how horrible for the nausea to still stick around! Our bodies can be so cruel

I am so so sorry and thinking of you

HidCat · 02/08/2018 14:12

@rdm10 I'm so sorry. I don't even know what to say. I hope you're doing ok and have plenty of support to get you through. xxx

leanne9312 · 02/08/2018 14:13

@rdm10 I'm so sorry ❤️

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 02/08/2018 14:43

peachesarenom · 02/08/2018 17:15

I'm so so sorry rdm10 that's about as far as I got last time. I can't believe it has happened a second time. Lots of love and cuddles.
