Blossom with my 1st my husband was a bit stumped. We were trying but having a baby was definatly my idea not his! It definatly gets better along the way and as cheesey as it sounds the second he saw our baby it was love at first sight.

I had some spd previously but nothing as bad as you ladies have mentioned so far! I found pregnancy yoga helped a lot.

I’m 6+1 today and been having the odd wave of nausea for the past few days. Got really really sick previously so fingers crossed it doesn’t get that bad again!

BuffaloGiraffe · 29/07/2018 21:39

@Blossom, that must be really upsetting, I’m sorry he is behaving that way. What did he think was going to happen when he had unprotected sex? Grin seriously though, I think sometimes it takes men a bit longer to get their heads around the idea, but hopefully once it sinks in he will be happy and more supportive.

@Lovelyfishey, hope you don’t get as sick as last time, that can’t have been nice. The nausea is pretty horrible here already, but I’m usually only sick a few times in the whole pregnancy, not (several times) daily like some, so fingers crossed.

Bethaniee · 29/07/2018 23:55

@Sictransitgloria yes. 2 weeks on Wednesday x

VillageFete · 30/07/2018 07:30

Blossom I’m sorry he’s being that way. My DP was exactly the same with our almost 9 year old daughter. Their bond is incredibe, she is his world. He’ll change his mind, trust me! Give him a week or two for it to sink in.

I’m over the moon today. 5+2 based on conception dates and my clearblue finally moved up. Last tested it on Saturday and it was 2-3 then.

@Villagefete yey!!! Congratulations on your 3+ 😄

CatalinaCatarina · 30/07/2018 09:01

Hello, can anyone please help me, I am really struggling with sickness and don't know what is deemed 'normal'. I am sick about 5-10 times a day. Is this normal or should I call the doctor?

LovelyFishy · 30/07/2018 10:28

Normal varies a lot but that sounds fairly normal to me. As long as you get fluids in that’s the main thing, and nibble a bit of food whenever you can stomach it! However if you’re worried could always give the midwife a call? They’ll never mind giving you advice/reassurance. Smile Hope it settles soon!

cliare · 30/07/2018 10:29

Hello! Can I join in too? I am 6+2, due on 23rd march if all goes well. Our little boy will be 2.5 when (if 🤞) this bean makes an appearance. Feel ok, just ravenous and constipated with sore boobs!

SoBoredOfWaiting · 30/07/2018 13:09

Hi all 🙋🏻‍♀️
So I had my scan today, turns out I am 6 weeks +4 and not 8 weeks like I thought. Looks like I ovulated late!
Anyway baby is happy and healthy in there 😊

@SoBoredOfWaiting Fabulous! So did you see its little heartbeat? My scan is on Friday (5+6) and am wondering what to expect. I know it’s possibly too early for heartbeat.

What vitamins is everyone taking? I am taking the pregnacare original, but am wondering if I need more vitamin D than they have in?

MrsLCW · 30/07/2018 13:58

Hi everyone! I've not posted much recently as been feeling soooo rough with sickness but I've been reading on from afar!
We had a scan last week and all looks great with baby and a lush little heartbeat 😍 but the sonographer spotted what she said she thought was either a bleed sight or a second empty sac.
Since then I've been convinced they've got it wrong and I'm having twins (but possibly funny angle hence not seeing the second sac/baby fully!). Either way I'll be over the moon as long as everything is fine but imagine how lush twins would be!!!

I've attached the photo to see what everyone else thinks... on top of this funny feeling I am also HUGE!! 8+3 and look about 6 months gone already!!

HidCat · 30/07/2018 15:21

@MrsLCW glad it's not just me looking / feeling big lol. Hopefully second baby is just hiding and will make their appearance.

MrsLCW · 30/07/2018 15:23

@HidCat thanks lovely! Don't get me wrong like I say there'll be zero disappointment from me if there's one healthy baby, or two or even three! I'll happily take what I'm given 😂

angel0071987 · 30/07/2018 16:15

I'm only 7 weeks today and also look huuuge. Haven't had any scans yet but no history of twins here. And with my current toddler would have my hands full with just one!!

Hi @VillageFete taking pregnacare original too and midwives seemed to think this is fine. Expect to have an internal scan and not external as they will be able to see better. I could see baby's heartbeat, baby and the sac all really clearly at 6+4, not sure what it will look like before this though.

@MrsLCW @HidCat @angel0071987 I am with you! I am living in leggings at the moment as they are the only things that fit nicely! Thank goodness for baggy tops lol

I've just been for my booking appointment. It all feels so much more real now and for the first time I'm really excited!
The Midwife said that I should get an appointment through for my scan within the next week but not to expect it for any early than 11 weeks. I'm still completely torn on whether or not to get a private early scan. There's no reason to other than to put my own paranoia to rest.

TheWanderlust · 31/07/2018 17:29

I've got my booking in on Friday. No idea what it's like trying to get a scan at Frimley... hopefully I won't have to wait too long!!

VillageFete · 31/07/2018 18:03

I have my scan at the EPU on Friday at 5+6 (Praying I see a heartbeat) And i’m seeing a Midwife for the first time on 17th August. I assume she sorts the 12 weeks scan?

I bought pregacare max vitamins today, but i’m not happy with how little Vit D is in them. I am taking an extra Vit D supplement on top of the pregnacare. Do you think this is ok? I have been taking Vit D supplements for about 6 months and don’t want to just lower the dose now i’m pregnant.

Funnybunnyfluff · 31/07/2018 18:48

Can I ask when you at having an early scan? I thought the first scan was around 12 weeks.

I am completely new to this and just wondering if there is information I should know?

VillageFete · 31/07/2018 18:50

I’m having one due to my history. I have PCOS and a blocked tube so they want to see the baby is growing in the right place and not ectopic. You can pay for reassurance scans from 6 weeks if you want to.

Funnybunnyfluff · 31/07/2018 19:05

Ok that explains why thank you.

Kaceymariaxx · 31/07/2018 20:31

I’m due 6th March! 9 weeks tomorrow :)

TheWanderlust · 31/07/2018 22:11

@Kaceymariaxx due date buddies!!

BuffaloGiraffe · 31/07/2018 23:22

I feel so far behind, I’m not even 6 weeks! Shall we start an EDD list? Copy, paste and add yourself in according to your current due date.
