Still got period like pains
Today ive had headache all day
Had protein in wee yesterday. Might pop up to triage later

@LostMyBaubles getting on well Amelia is very happy and content breastfeeding seems to be going well most of the time im feeling okay a little sore but nothing more than period type discomfort and accepting pain relief to keep on top of it

I had several crampy BH last night, close together, got a bit excited. Then nothing overnight. Ah well

They wanted to keep me in for headaches but wouldnt do anything over night.
Bp was fine
No protein in urine but have uti and infection down there.
Cervix is a little raw

Have scan today as he was very quite even while on monitor he normally hates it

We had an acceleration on the monitor but then things calmed down

Been admitted
Babys head is measuring over 41 weeks

We need a plan to deliver
But domt know when

Very frustrated
The dr was was saying things like we think therea something wrong with his head
Why is he so big
Whats wronf with him
Inside for longer could harm him

And here I am waitinf for fucking paracetamol and my other meds from hours ago

He kept having accelerations and I needee to go back on the monitor at 7.
Still not on
Despite me miterhing them

And my pad has some dark discharge on it but no one is bothered
The midwife was supposed to check it a while back

Ohh @lost massive hugs im sure its scary enough time for you without them adding to the stress

Dr has just been they are going to give me steriods for him
Didnt get chance to mention the pad to him as he had to go answer bleep

Getting on well ive felt a little teary and overwhelmed today stupid baby blues!! We got home today and are glad to be home but part of me thinks what do i do with her?! I know feed n keep her nappy clean but she sleeps nearly all the time (i know its normal and im thankful) i just feel she spends alot of time down sleeping (as i said stupid baby blues!) whats the next course of action? Deliver soon or wait and see what the meds do?

While shes sleeping watch a comedy to lift your mood a little

They are holdinf off steriods as thry think I dont need them
I just want to cry.
I wamt him out so we can help him. Inside its the unknown outside we know we can help
They said he will need watching over in nicu just in case his sugars go down. Fine. We can do that but inside we cant.

I was really fucked off about being discharged. If there was even 1% chance of something being wromg with baby they should have done something
I told them hes better off out than in as if he needs medical treatment it can be administered. Inside its the unknown

Think the UTI isnt shifting either
My urine is still very very dark despite drinking a lot and my kidneys lower back ache too. Today is day 3/4 i think of the antibiotics

Im sure you were and have every right to be whats are you going to do about uti? We are doing well 😊

Whats everyone done with newborns and evening routine? Did you let them sleep all evening or did you try and keep them awake? For a while before bedtime?

Im going to try drinking lots of water to help flush it out quicker

Im at the hosp on monday anyway so will ask them to check results

At this stage I would start bathing/ washing down change into pjs around 8ish feed and put down to sleep

Makes it easier once they are a littlw older having a bit od routine
Bath/washing down will indicate end of day kinda thing

I wont be bathing every night
But will top and tail every morning and night

Yes keep drinking plenty ry and flush out as much as you can hope Monday goes well!!

And how did you find they slept during the night? Reason i ask is first night I went with what she wanted to do but found she was very unsettled fed and changed the nappy but anytime she was put down she didnt stay too this carried on until 4/5am but then she slept till around 10 last night i thought maybe id try and keep her awake for a while before bed but found again she was unsettled and bright eyed until around 3 now i know to expect her to wake for feed and nappy changes sorry can you tell ftm?! Lol

Main thing to remember is they are new to this and so are you
Baby is used to be tucked up all nice and secure and now in this big opem world

I swaddled my babies that helped them settle
