Roella I would ring triage if your temp doesn't come down
In my last pregnancy I had tonsilitis and uti at the same time temp was similiar to yours.
Ooh said the protocol is to admit pregnant women with temps over 38.5 or something but as we had 2 points of infection he was happy to let me home with 2x antibiotics

Had a bath to try and help the pains but while sat in the bath I was getting tightenings and once I got out i was shaking
Think blood sugars went low as ive not ate properly all day

Hb is very low (from what ive been told) i have reduced the iron infact not had any for 24hrs
Going ti try spatone

Joey sorry dont have any experience but if you are worried rinf triage

lmx0 · 29/07/2018 21:43

All good here tightenings are a good 2/3 per 10mins pessary is out an hour early by its choice (thank goodness!) just really waiting on a bed now in labour ward which could be a while as its busy
@LostMyBaubles hope you get sorted
@rooella glad its nothing serious
@Joeybee welcome!! Sorry i cant answer but hopefully someone will be able too!!

Hjkillas · 29/07/2018 22:43

@lmx0
Good luck!!

lmx0 · 30/07/2018 06:17

Having brekkie then getting taking to labour hopefully the longest bit is over!!!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 30/07/2018 07:45

Good luck @lmx0 !!

Feeling really down today. I'm 37 weeks and huge. Can't really do much (walk/bend over etc) but got a week left at work. Desk job but still just feel embarrassed by the state of me. Just want to go into hiding and cry

LostMyBaubles · 30/07/2018 10:21

Imx0 hopefully you've gone down!
Good luck

Grumpy Flowers im around 2 weeks behind you and have no advice but to rest as much as possible
The end weeks are really shitty

But all worth it ❤

MamOfFrankie · 30/07/2018 10:33

Same @TheGrumpySquirrel. I'm 37+6 and need to change beds today and get food shopping in in case LO makes an appearance and I am just so huge and achey I can't bear it.

There isn't even any relief at night time with going to per every hour and turning over every half hour in between to relieve achig hips. Still, end is in sight!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 30/07/2018 11:58

@MamOfFrankie can you order online for the shopping at least? I agree the night time is horrendous with the hip pain Sad not much longer hopefully 🤞🏼

Hjkillas · 30/07/2018 12:51

Had a little energy boost today, so got on with some much needed housework filthy cow

Also put the sheets on her crib 😍 I'm tempted to go and grab last minute bits from town but not sure if I should go out alone, then again tempting fate my cause something to happen lmao

Totally done with being huge and hoping for my waters to break..

39+1 and counting...

toriaplum · 30/07/2018 14:01

I'm sort of dipping in and out of the thread. So congratulations on the beautiful new babies. Hope everyone is feeling good.
I'm currently 40+7, and feeling like a beached whale. Busy bouncing on a birthing ball and hoping things start moving. MiL is driving me mad ringing and texting 3 or 4 times a day. I had a telling off from her because I didn't answer her text or phone call at 9 this morning. She'd already texted DH to check in. They are looking after DS, so it's not as if we won't be letting them know when things kick off. Confused

rooella · 30/07/2018 15:03

Just popping in quickly to say my baby girl was born at 8am this morning.

I was admitted last night and treated with sepsis protocol due to high temperature, baby's heart rate was elevated because of this so I was quickly started on iv antibiotics and fluids. I started to have mild contractions. Active labour was only 4 hours so nice and fast. Unfortunately her shoulders got stuck so that was a bit of a scary moment.
She was 9lb 8! (Over 2lb heavier than her older sister) and she's very long at 58cm!

Hope everyone else is well. I'll try and reply properly tomorrow.

Hjkillas · 30/07/2018 15:28

@rooella

Congratulations on your big bundle!
Glad all ended well even with the scary bits.
Get better soon x

LostMyBaubles · 30/07/2018 16:13

Roella Flowers well done!!
Hope you both recover well

Imx0 thinking of you

Hj
Dont over do it otherwise you will regret it later on

Toria hope things kick off for you soon

TheGrumpySquirrel · 30/07/2018 16:49

Congratulations @rooella and well done!

I'm down to 6 more work days now and my birth pool has arrived so going to have a practise run with DH. Feel like baby has suddenly grown huge over the last week. Getting lots of Braxton Hicks every day but know that doesn't mean much.

LostMyBaubles · 31/07/2018 15:09

Hopr everyone is doing well

toriaplum · 31/07/2018 15:55

Congratulation @rooella and well done. My ds1 was 9lb 8oz at 4 days overdue. Im hope this one will be slightly smaller.

40+8 today and just seen the Midwife. She couldn't do a sweep as cervix is still hard and high. DH treated me to cake as I was feeling a bit sorry for myself.

LostMyBaubles · 31/07/2018 16:33

Toria Flowers can I ask what cake was it Grin

Ive been to mw this morning as I think ive got uti
Was told off again for not going hosp when contractions were every 3 mins for about 45nins but they stopped so left it.

Had protein in wee which ive not had before in this pregnancy. Bp was fine
Heart rate was perfect this time too and it was the nice mw

Baby is very much still transverse
Hes got until next week to move but its looking unlikely now
She asked me how would I like to have him
I said tbh I want a section and she agreed with my choice which was nice

lmx0 · 31/07/2018 17:22

Ameila Rose was born at 6.51 this morning by emcs after a long and rough labour absolutely in love with her

toriaplum · 31/07/2018 18:03

@Lost, it was a slice of mint areo chocolate cake. It was delicious and definitely cheered me up. I'm glad it was a relatively successful Mw appointment.

@Imx0 Congratulations. A beautiful name, for a beautiful girl.

LostMyBaubles · 31/07/2018 18:39

Imx0
Congrats hun!!!
How are you getting on?
Hope you are both ok x

Mmmm Toria sounds nice

Was a good appt as was reassured about bleeding etc

Omg.
Im sure ive just felt his hands
Tiny little fingers is what it felt like (have hand in bump)
So exciting!

Hjkillas · 31/07/2018 19:04

@lmx0
I'm not surprised you're in love, she's beautiful! Well done!
😍

Still waiting on my princess!

lmx0 · 31/07/2018 21:06

Thanks ladies all good here just knackered hopefully we will get a decent nights sleep although it just dawned on me me and Amelia are on our own tonight while dh goes home

SlimGin · 31/07/2018 21:16

@lmx0 congratulations! I'm at work and honestly almost cried - look how peaceful she is! I hope you're recovering well and that that you've been looked after. Sorry that DH isn't there to share tonight!

A question (that I should have asked my HV when I met her for the first time yesterday) - from birth e.g. first night home with baby, who do you contact with questions - HV or Midwife?

lmx0 · 31/07/2018 21:24

@SlimGin thank you ive been very lucky shes very content (for now) id imagine mw until 10 days old as i think thats when the switch over takes place

TheGrumpySquirrel · 31/07/2018 21:25

It midwife until they discharge you to HV care

Congratulations @lmx0 she's gorgeous
