Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
lmx0 · 28/07/2018 14:21

@LostMyBaubles i will take that on board thanks 😊 its funny how people forget the important details like that!!!

LostMyBaubles · 28/07/2018 14:24

Its just little things that can make a big difference

Are you all packed?

Dc are at mums for the afternoon so I can rest a little. Was very tempted to get more cleaning done but think its time for bed Smile

rooella · 28/07/2018 15:19

@LostMyBaubles ah that makes sense. Not long until your scan and possible c section. Have you had a c section before? Hope the spotting stops soon (sounds like it could be from DTD) and you enjoy your rest.

@lmx0 good luck today. Can't wait to hear when baby's arrived. Hope it's all relatively quick.

I've just had a bit of a nap. Still have headache but not quite as bad, my eyeballs actually feel sore. I'm going to drink some water and will have paracetamol later if no improvement. There's always something isn't there!

lmx0 · 28/07/2018 15:19

@LostMyBaubles it really is yes bags are packed and in the car if i need anything else dh can bring me it its pretty good you should take the chance to rest yourself!! Cleaning can always be done with dc at home

lmx0 · 28/07/2018 15:20

@rooella thank you!!

BoomBlastandRuin · 28/07/2018 16:49

Turns out it wasn't nothing yesterday!

Alexandra arrived just before 9am this morning after a 7 hour labour.

Feel good despite having a second degree tear (had forceps and episiotomy last time so anything would be better!)

Never doing it again though!

lmx0 · 28/07/2018 17:04

@BoomBlastandRuin thats brilliant news massive congrats!! Glad your feeling well

LostMyBaubles · 28/07/2018 18:52

Glad you are both ok

lmx0 · 28/07/2018 19:41

@LostMyBaubles just arrived have some paracetamol and warm bath/shower and see if that helps if not id give triage a ring and see what they say

LostMyBaubles · 28/07/2018 20:09

HjFlowers

Imx0 oooo good luck!!!

The pain is now lower back and lower stomach with some tightenings. Not all are that painful

I dunno if they should be more painful as ive been induced 2x so the contractions are more painful on the drip

lmx0 · 28/07/2018 20:37

Did the paracetamol help?

SlimGin · 28/07/2018 20:41

@boomblast congratulations!! @lmx0 very best of luck!

I've nipped to my mums for her birthday, made use of the fact she's a midwife and got her to feel the bump to check baby's position and ask her any questions I can think of Grin

@LostMyBaubles oh no what a time you're having. Yip men def don't understand!

@lmx0 hope things progress fairly quick. Like lost says take the pain relief if you need it.

@BoomBlastandRuin Congratulations, great news Smile

I still have my headache and developed a temperature last night. I'm taking regular paracetamol but feel rubbish. Phoned maternity assessment this morning but they weren't really interested because baby seems ok. She said maybe I need my eyes tested! WTAF I didn't realise that caused high temp! I'm just phoned nhs 24 and have an appointment shortly. It's prob just a virus but I'd rather get checked.

lmx0 · 29/07/2018 11:51

Been given co-codamol (whatever way u spell it) cannot wait to get this pessary removed its awful uncomfortable for all the size of it!!
@LostMyBaubles men!!
@rooella thats the worst excuse ive ever heard!!! You done the right thing ringing nhs 24

LostMyBaubles · 29/07/2018 17:03

Roella what did they say?
Hopefully its nothing too serious

Imx0
How are you getting on?
Hope you are ok

The iron has made me constipated. Going to speak to pharmacy about it and see if spatone will be any better. I started taking lactulose the day I started iron as a preventative which hasnt bloody worked

rooella · 29/07/2018 18:43

@LostMyBaubles yeah spatone might be gentler on your stomach or can you reduce the dose of iron if you hb was quite low? I tried that but still couldn't tolerate it and didn't like spatone so gp prescribed ferrous fumerate. It's been ok for me so far.

@lmx0 hope you're ok

I saw gp there was no sign of infection in urine or chest so thinks it might be viral. Only other symptom I have is headache. I feel awful when my temp increases. Paracetamol has been bringing it down a bit so I feel slightly better. It's not solving the headache and they wouldn't prescribe anything else.

She offered to prescribe antibiotics in case of urine infection although urine clear but i declined. I'm going to hand first morning sample in to surgery tomorrow.

The difficultly is my temp is now 39.3. I've not had any paracetamol since 1pm but I've already had 3 doses/possibly 4 doses in the last 24 hours. I've put a fan on to see if that will help. If not I'll call nhs 24 back. I've been sleeping on and off all afternoon and woke feeling terrible.

Sorry feel like such a moan!

Joeybee · 29/07/2018 20:15

Hi all. Im35 weeks today. For the past 2 days I've felt pressure and twinges to my cervix, when I walk baby feels heavier and my pelvis feels a little loose and light. I'm pretty sure baby is starting to engage.
At 32 weeks a scan showed my cervix was short and funneling, so I was told I could deliver early.
I'm happy baby seems to be getting in position and is head down (well he was at 33 weeks) but wondering if I could deliver in the next few weeks. Anyone else had a short, funnelled cervix and delivered early?
