Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/07/2018 09:36

Thanks. Luckily office is air conditioned but journey in and out I'm having to do by taxi now because even 6:30am tube too hot.

Feel have properly swollen up now Sad

rooella · 27/07/2018 10:58

Fingers crossed something happening Imx0!

I don't know how you're surviving the commute in the heat Grumpy!

I'm 40+3 today and so fed. I'm so uncomfortable and having zero signs of labour. I'm in Scotland so not as hot as downsouth but the heat in my house is unbearable. Can't seem to get it below 26. Feel guilty that I can't do much with 2 year old.

How are you lost?

lmx0 · 27/07/2018 11:15

Managed some sleep last night but woke with a really bad back then few pains but managed to get another hours sleep and felt ok when i got up back pain was back and ive had a few pains but dont think they are regular but ive noticed im spotting now too currently waiting on my appointment

@TheGrumpySquirrel ohh i feel for you i bet you cant wait for next week!!
@rooella hopefully something happens for you soon!!

lmx0 · 27/07/2018 13:01

Got my sweep im 1cm dilated and scan showed baby hasn't grew much in the past 2 weeks so being induced tomorrow so currently on the monitor

LostMyBaubles · 27/07/2018 13:57

Glad they havent just left you imx0
You will be having newborn cuddles soon!

lmx0 · 27/07/2018 14:50

I must admit im a bit nervous but at least no more waiting been on this monitor for 2 hours now as baby was going mental and they couldnt get a baseline so ive to stay on for another 15 mins or so then see if doc is happy how are you @LostMyBaubles?

rooella · 27/07/2018 15:44

Exciting that you don't have much longer to wait @lmx0. Will you go home tonight before induction?

lmx0 · 27/07/2018 17:15

@rooella yes got to go home even got taken out for dinner!! ive a few jobs to do ill try and get them done this evening

LostMyBaubles · 27/07/2018 17:17

Imx0 how did it go? Are you off the monitor now?

Roella sorry didnt reply before got excited by imx0 lol how are you?

Im doing ok today thankfully.
The odd bit of pain here and there but feel better than the past few days

How is everyone

BoomBlastandRuin · 27/07/2018 17:35

Well that was a pointless appointment. Apparently they don't sweep second timers until 41 weeks... At least I'm now booked in for my induction (not for another 11 days!)

LostMyBaubles · 27/07/2018 17:50

Bloom never heard that one before!

Unless there was a proper reason (like yoi said baby not head down etc) they should have offered you a sweep!

lmx0 · 27/07/2018 18:06

@LostMyBaubles home now baby eventually calmed down so they got what they were looking for after over 2 hours so just waiting on them ringing me with a time to go into tomorrow thats good to hear your feeling better than you have been
@BoomBlastandRuin no way!! Im sure you are gutted i wonder why that is?!

rooella · 27/07/2018 18:16

@LostMyBaubles glad you're feeling a bit better. How many weeks are you?

@lmx0 enjoy your dinner and your last night at home before baby. How exciting! Good luck tomorrow.

@BoomBlastandRuin my area don't offer sweeps until 41 weeks either and community midwife won't do sweep at all. That's rubbish that they wouldn't do it for you.

I feel like baby has dropped a bit. Baby's been really active low down and I have the urge to pee a lot (but not passing much urine). Im not sure if it's due to BH or baby moving. I'd love it to be the start of something but I'm doubtful. My last labour started with mild period pains then was mostly back labour so we'll see.

lmx0 · 27/07/2018 19:37

@rooella thank you!! Fingers crossed it is the start for you too!!

BoomBlastandRuin · 27/07/2018 20:31

Tbf she wasn't engaged so they wouldn't have done it anyway but my usual midwife had spoken as if they would if they could after 40 weeks.

I think they really try to leave you alone when it's not your first, my induction was booked further out (+13 instead of +10) as well so they just let you get on with it.

I've had some regular tightenings since she had a prod at the bump so that's something at least! Probably nothing but every little bit should help (or so I keep telling myself...)

lmx0 · 27/07/2018 20:39

@BoomBlastandRuin thats very true every little pain is doing something i hope things move along quickly for you too the wait is awful

lmx0 · 28/07/2018 00:08

Didnt hear from the hospital this evening so thought id ring and they are very busy so they will ring me in the morning and the sweep has done something as ive had my show amd still getting tightenings every sort of 10 mins

LostMyBaubles · 28/07/2018 09:59

Imx0 how are you getting on??
Hopefully enjoying newborn cuddles now or very soon

Rooella im 34+ 2 today with a transverse fat baby at 31 weeks on scan he was measuring 35+
You?

How lovely and cool is it today 😍

lmx0 · 28/07/2018 11:31

Still haven't heard from the hospital hopefully they ring soon for me to go in grr i hate waiting on people 😂

LostMyBaubles · 28/07/2018 11:52

How are your pains?

Ive had some spotting over the past 24hours.
Not every time on wipimg but still there
Dunno if its from dtd or anything else

lmx0 · 28/07/2018 12:21

@LostMyBaubles can be hard to tell very common after dtd i managed to have a little sleep this morning and theyve eased a bit since i got up still getting pains but not regular atm

rooella · 28/07/2018 12:27

Hope you hear from hospital soon @lmx0 sounds like something's happening though.

@LostMyBaubles I'm 40+4. What have they planned for birth? Will they try ECV if baby doesn't turn?

Nothing happening here. I've had a sore head since yesterday but BP ok. It actually feels like a sinus headache. Had an awful sleep between that and hip pain. Just taking easy today. Haven't really moved from the sofa. Not had a chilled day at home for ages so it's quite nice.

LostMyBaubles · 28/07/2018 12:33

Imx0 thats why ive not taken too much notice from it. If it gets heavier will ring hosp
In the past its been a little more than spotting but over and done with within a few hours
Glad you got some sleep

Ro
They most likely wont try ecv because of his size and if they offer I dont want it. Imo if hes been in this position for so long (my spd got better around the 28weeks mark i think) then theres prob a reason he's in that position
Maybe cord around neck or placenta in the way etc

I have a scan in less than 2 weeks and then we sit and make a plan. If he goes over 90tj centile then baby will be out 37-38 weeks.

Ahh I love a lazy day Grin

lmx0 · 28/07/2018 13:55

Hospital rang there one girl in front of me for a bed then my turn said shed ring me with a time later on
@rooella could be tiredness? Or the weather? Depending on where you are its cooler here today and rain which is welcome
@LostMyBaubles i agree with you on that babies lay certain ways for a reason and can be too dangerous to move them hopefully he decides to move himself for you so you can avoid section however if section happens they should be prepared to handle anything that happens but would hopefully be straight forward

LostMyBaubles · 28/07/2018 14:10

Its lovely and cooler today.

Im still spotting Confused

Ahhh sooo excited for you imx0!!!!!

Make sure you eat while you can
Drink lots of water as will help with the first wee (which does sting a little)
And will help you poo too(sorry tmi lol but i would have liked it if someone told me)

Dont be scared to ask for pain relief!

Good luck Flowers
