Went for a lie down eariler and it helped take the soreness out of them for a while thankfully

Walking up the stairs at the tube yesterday- holding handrail and staying to one side (left) as I'm slow and don't want to get in peoples way - and a man comes rushing down the stairs on my side and promptly stops in front of my huge pregnant bump and waits for me to move to the side. (I moved. Fucking female social conditioning ) ...but what special kind of arsehole does that??

What an absolute wanker!!! Some people are so blooming rude

I hope he just didn't engage his brain first and felt bad after..

Feeling a bit "periody". I can't have this baby before Monday (37wks) as it's too hot to go to hospital!

Just popping on to say my wait is over, after 5 hours of contractions we just about made it into hospital- my gorgeous little man was born 20 minutes after arriving!
He is, of course, perfect!

Hopefully so! its prob just your body preparing itself for dd hopefully your hospital has AC or good range of fans when your time comes though!

@Paie massive congrats!!! And how quick!!! Hope you and baby are doing really well when were you due?

@lmx0 I'm planning a home birth but officially meant to go into hospital if I go into labour before 37w

And no the hospital has no AC and it is a furnace right now apparently

@TheGrumpySquirrel in that case the home-birth would be alot more appealing!! Hopefully stays put until Monday!!!

Can confirm there is no aircon and the wards are currently 30 degrees- due to get to 34/35 later 😮

@LostMyBaubles im okay thanks LOTS of lightening crouch this morning (OUCH!)) thought i was leaking waters last night but must have just been dc (sorry tmi) how are you feeling? Have the tabs made any difference yet?

Hi, can I join. I'm currently 40+2 with second baby. First DC arrived 40+1 so I really thought I'd have had this one by now. Every morning I wake up so annoyed I'm still pregnant. I've had a few mild pains over the past few days but not sure if it's just wind I'm just trying to keep busy and not think about it too much but it's hard.

I totally forgot about this thread after introducing myself the other week...

40+1, nothing happening. Midwife tomorrow, pretty sure I won't even get a sweep because if this one is anything like her sister, she won't engage until she really has to.

I know I need to relax and just enjoy the last few days of (relative) peace but I'm just so done now!

@BoomBlastandRuin does baby have to be engaged for you to have a sweep? Im due today and have the hospital tomorrow too

lmx0 If you're not engaged and your waters go as a result of the sweep then there's a risk of cord prolapse.

I didn't get a sweep until I was induced last time because of it and the midwife warned me about it again a few weeks ago.

I understand why they won't do it but you just get so impatient by the time you're overdue that you want to do anything to hurry it up!

Im back from mw
Was the lovely mw I saw a while back not the one that is too rushed.

Turns out babys heartbeat was too fast. She carried on listening in for a few mins until it settled which was nice and reassuring

I was weighed lol and ive not actually put on that much which she was very surprised by. She said when ive had baby i will most likely be back at pre pregnancy or even lost a little bit

Did tell her about not feeling well she said once the iron kicks in will start to feel a little better

Having pains in lower bump & back every sort of 20 mins or so (not really timing) so something may be happening but i wont get my hopes up

I got 3 hours sleep last night due to the heat. So fed up and working in office in central London today. 1 more week
