Im not too bad today although im tired more physically than mentally how are you doing?
Anyone else suffering with bad fanny daggers? When they strike i can hardly walk and need a min to get over them the delights of pregnancy!!

LostMyBaubles · 24/07/2018 11:49

chipsandcurrysaucemonster · 24/07/2018 13:25

LostMyBaubles · 24/07/2018 14:36

No one else but you can feel them.
Makes the bond extra special

Just finished my biggest task that was left!
To clean the cot down properly.
All lovely and sparkly now

The cot mattress protector is going to go in wash x2 and should be good to go.

Cant believe that ita done

The house is a tip as ive been doing this but wont take too long to clean so happy with that!

lifechangesforever · 24/07/2018 15:22

Just checking in to see if any more little ones had started arriving! Glad to see everyone is doing well and getting prepared for those final few days of pregnancy and welcoming the babies into the world.

I never in a million years thought that I would feel how I do about this little girl (who is currently sound asleep on my chest) it's completely overwhelming. She's such a good little girl and we're in a nice routine of eating, changing and napping - with only 1 feed during the night so I'm actually managing to be rested too! She is really very content, although I'm expecting it to change - it's probably the heat!

I wasn't able to breastfeed as little miss had tongue tie and by the time we could have an appointment to have it cut, I had to go onto formula but I'm more than happy with this and it's working beautifully for us. She's already above her birth weight at 6 days old.

I can not believe this time last week I was at the hospital and in labour. She's already 6 days older than I want her to be!!

lmx0 · 24/07/2018 18:08

@LostMyBaubles good on you!! Im sure your glad to have it all done makes it seem that bit more real when you get the bit stuff like that sorted out
@lifechangesforever no baby here yet even the dog has tried talking her out but nope shes moving for nobody!! Thats a week already?! Goodness me! Thats great to hear everything is going brilliantly and enjoy the routine while it lasts

TheGrumpySquirrel · 24/07/2018 19:49

Is anyone else struggling with loneliness? I haven't even finished work yet and I feel so down and like I've got no one to talk to. It's very boring being so fat and immobile!

SlimGin · 24/07/2018 20:10

Thank you all, I passed my driving test so happy! Grin Absolutely petrified at the thought of driving a child around but will get there eventually.

@Life she sounds like a dream, seems like you have a lovely little partnership!

@Grumpy - yes I understand the loneliness. DP and I live away from family and I have no friends thinking about children yet. My friends either have moved away or live close but the pregnancy is starting to drive us apart as my life is changing so much it's hard for us to relate to each other. DP also works insane hours so I only see him when we both have the day off (which is rare), he's also exhausted all of the time and doesn't sympathise really with what I'm experiencing. Feel free to have a good moan on this thread and post what's on your mind. Pregnancy is weird because a whole new person is growing inside of you yet you feel so alone!

MamOfFrankie · 24/07/2018 20:12

Evening all, long time lurker on this thread and now 37 weeks and thoroughly bored of being waiting!

Only been on maternity leave for four days and I am already getting bored and impatient. @TheGrumpySquirrel same! Got DD1 to keep me company, but it's not the same as proper adult conversation.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 24/07/2018 20:57

Thanks I'm glad it's not just me. I'm suddenly terrified of stopping work as it will reveal I have no friends and nothing to do Blush my hobby is literally my career... frick! I've even forgotten how to do things like chill out and watch films... too fat and hot to travel anywhere.. praying baby arrives the day after I finish work 🤞🏼

Well done on passing your driving test @SlimGin !!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 24/07/2018 20:58

My dd1 is with her dad at the moment for summer holiday. I miss her company too. 2 weeks till she comes back

lmx0 · 24/07/2018 23:07

@TheGrumpySquirrel pregnancy can be very lonely so your not the only one
@SlimGin yay!! Congrats at least thats one thing off your mind!!

I think there should be more pregnancy groups for mums to be to meet and make friends similar to mums and tots or mums & tots could have a mum to be bit too? If that makes sense?

LostMyBaubles · 25/07/2018 09:01

lmx0 · 25/07/2018 09:51

@LostMyBaubles thank you!! 😊

LostMyBaubles · 25/07/2018 09:55

Ive tried ringing a few times.
Ive been told we've not got thr letter yet (last week) so I got it faxed up by thr pharmacy.

Rang on monday they said nothing is here but might be in with the dr so ring back later

Then was told nothing is in the books.

I have explained im heavily pregnant, anaemic, bloods need doing next week (according to the letter) andthat I hemmorage at delivery so need it asap.

The next step up from this is the iron drip which I cant have as Im allergic! Had this prob with my middle child and ended up in a+e heavily pregnant as I couldn't breathe.

Was told never to have it again.
I lost 2.5l of blood that delivery and needed a few bags to top me up later.
The blood made me feel so much better quickly!

lmx0 · 25/07/2018 10:19

@LostMyBaubles could you ring your mw and explain to her? She could maybe chase it up and get you the tabs? Youd think they would be more ok the ball with something like that?!

LostMyBaubles · 25/07/2018 10:40

Im seeing her tomorrow, she very rarely picks the phone up and appt ia over and done with within minutes!

lmx0 · 25/07/2018 10:59
