I'm right there with you (though luckily only 2 weeks left in work). I feel huge. My feet have swollen to elephant size. I have a constant nagging headache and I feel super grumpy.

I'm trying not to let it out in public because I know when in was trying I hated pregnant people moaning, I thought they were the luckiest people on earth! So it's nice to have a moan here!

Tinks15 · 25/06/2018 21:56

I'm 35 weeks tomorrow, I'm agitated, hot & tired. I literally dread night time too as I never sleep great & my nearly three old loves waking up numerous times too!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 25/06/2018 21:57

Same! Don't want to sound ungrateful as I've been on the other side when ttc, but bloody hell the 3rd trimester is not fun.

OP posts:
TheGrumpySquirrel · 25/06/2018 21:57

I'm on about 4-6 wees a night

SamanthaH92 · 25/06/2018 21:57

I'm 35+6 weeks pregnant i cannot cope tonight. Not working atm thank god. But i have been out walking and running round after dd1. My feet and ankles are so swollen i can barley bend or move my toes, can't get my shoes on or get the swelling down. The skin feels so tight. I'm currently laid on the sofa with next to nothing on with fans blowing on me constantly. Put 9lbs on in 3 weeks. I need this weather to cool down 🙄 x

Jfw82 · 25/06/2018 22:11

31 weeks and also 6 more weeks at work... live outside but commute into zone 1.... can't wait to be done and today negotiated extra wfh days

TheGrumpySquirrel · 25/06/2018 22:16

I have to go in tomorrow but rest of week will work from home thankfully . Then I have a week off Smile then 4 weeks left - hope the weather cools down a bit

35w, hour commute each way. Not sleeping well. So grumpy. Meant to be working for three more weeks but am considering asking to stop in two.
My 4yo DS is being really tricky suddenly, and not sleeping well either.

Agree, don’t want to sound ungrateful and am trying to keep it in, but feeling really emo and grumpy.

kirinm · 25/06/2018 22:28

30 weeks and 6 more weeks at work in central London. I am SO hot. Building work started today so we are relegated to one room in the house. Have just sat with my feet in the bath full of cold water as my feet are boiling and ankles swollen. And I've got bloody restless legs.

Almostthere15 · 25/06/2018 22:31

It is the hardest part of having a summer baby for sure. My last was a winter and although it was hard to manage snow and ice it was much more preferable. I'm actually enjoying the office because it's air conditioned and I can drive to it (nice cool car) more than working at home at the moment!

I have said I can't travel to HQ (backed by midwife if needed) because at 33 weeks the idea of the tube makes me want to cry. If you're getting it everyday I take my sweaty hat off to you!

InDreamland · 25/06/2018 22:48

Not in 3rd trimester but am in first and still get lightheaded and dizzy pretty much everyday coupled with tiredness. Also commute an hour into central London on the tube.

What's your best tips for keeping cool and not passing out on the tube OP?

dingdongdigeridoo · 25/06/2018 22:52

Oh my god how are you lot doing the tube? I did it up to 36 weeks in my last pregnancy, but that was in winter. Even then I had hot flushes.

I’m 30 weeks and it’s 30 bloody degrees. Luckily, I’m working from home. I do however have the added fun of severe SPD, so I’m hobbling on crutches with sweaty palms. My entire day consists of drinking and hobbling up the stairs to pee. Plus trying to concentrate on work with a mixture of heat and baby brain stopping me from being able to make sense. I’m severely tempted to piss off on maternity leave early.

kirinm · 25/06/2018 22:57

Thankfully I can get the normal train or overground but am choosing bus for my journey into work as it isn't as far to walk as the train station! I had to get the northern line tonight and it was gross. But someone did offer me a seat which I was very grateful for.

LawDegreeBarbie · 25/06/2018 22:59

Nearly 30 weeks and suffering. Carrying large again so measuring around 35 weeks and everything is uncomfortable in this heat.

Stellarbella · 26/06/2018 06:21

29 weeks here, and pretty hot and bothered. I’ve been getting the tube in to work every day for around an hour each way. My top tip is to freeze a bottle of water the night before, and put it in your handbag. Cools the wrists on the tube and the water stays icy all day.
My problem is that in my job at this time of year everyone is hosting garden parties. I know that’s a bit of a first world problem Grin but I’ve got two this week alone and standing up and chatting for hours is hell on my swollen ankles!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 26/06/2018 06:33

My tip is leave at 6:30am! Just on my way in now, was bearable at this time yesterday. I'll leave mid afternoon so at least it won't be busy on way back even though it's very hot. Wish I had a handheld fan though. Icy drink a good shout. Hair up, minimal clothing, dab water on forehead and wrists! Thankful today is last day in the office for almost 2 weeks (working from home then a week of annual leave)

This was me a few years ago.

And I decided I needed a good, old fashioned, seriously loose and flowing, maternity tent dress.

None for sale anywhere. I ended up a blubbering heap of frustration. In public.

Bibijayne · 26/06/2018 07:23

29+4... All the fans going. Sod clothes too.

SiolGhoraidh · 26/06/2018 11:09

I swore blind I wouldn't bitch about the heat after how cold I was in the first trimester, but it's proving tough!

Got all the windows open and curtains drawn to keep the house cool, bottles of water everywhere and as few clothes on as possible.

I went swimming in the river at the weekend and I think that's going to become a habit. It was so lovely and cold!

meganerk · 26/06/2018 11:13

37 weeks on Friday.

So bloody hot. Terrible nights sleep in the heat.

Already on maternity leave thankfully. Glad I've not got to try and cope at work in this heat.

Been trying to motivate myself to finish decluttering, tidying and cleaning the last bedroom in the house. Managed to get all the other rooms done. This is the last one.

Don't really want to move though.

CherryVicky29 · 26/06/2018 11:19

So tired of heat 37+5 and house has not moved from 26c since yesterday morning 😓

Strawberrythief87 · 26/06/2018 14:01

Yes 32+3 here and 4 and half weeks to go of commuting through central London before starting mat leave. I'm finding the bits of my journey that are on the bus are the worst, next to no air flow and people not giving up seats, thought I could pass out yesterday evening.
I've been using a hand fan, iced water and putting water on wrists, temples etc but it's still pretty hot. I really hope it cools down soon

TheGrumpySquirrel · 26/06/2018 14:14

@Strawberrythief87 bus people are the worst! Can't believe no one is giving up seats. Just ask! On tube at least i have found that no one is rude enough to ignore a heavily pregnant woman

Butterflyrosebud · 26/06/2018 14:46

I feel bad for you all still at work and having to continue on as normal! I’m due in 6 days. Stuck at home bored out of my mind but at least I have ice and an electric fan to keep me going.

I usually love heat too but I will be whining a lot this week. I feel cooped up but guilty at the same time because I should be out enjoying the sun with my last few days of freedom!

coastalchick · 26/06/2018 15:06

28+1 and thankfully my commute is 8 mins in car then 10 min walk downhill. OH picks me up in evenings so I don’t have to walk up the hill as I have SPD. Only working tomorrow and Thurs this week then 3 days off. This morning was stony down beach as OH and I took today and yesterday off. But it’s so bloody hot, not sleeping well at all!

9 weeks left at work after this week - 3 weeks of 4 day weeks then move to 3 day weeks until Mat leave but still dreading how will cope. Everything swollen and more allergic than usual to mossie bites!
