Finally found you guys! Though it looks like I might not be staying 5+4 today but last night DS (2.5)came and sat on my knee and said "baby gone" was creepy as fuck. He doesn't know I'm pregnant. but low and behold, I did a couple of tests and they are getting lighter. I know I shouldn't read anything in to test darkness but it shit me right up. I think I know which way it's going

MagicalCreatures · 07/06/2018 22:23

Yeh me too. DH just doesn’t get it. I’ll be honest. He’s not the most supportive. He is when it suits him but he was awful whilst I was going through the miscarriage. Don’t know why I expected any different this time now that we’ve heard or little babies heart beating 🙄

hayleyfx · 07/06/2018 22:36

Thanks ladies!! Don’t know why but earlier I was stressing about knowing exactly how many days pregnant I am haha. This time I just feel like I have to be in control of everything! 🤦‍♀️

@MagicalCreatures I’m glad things have calmed down. Seems like a lot of ladies have had spotting and everything has been perfectly fine so I’m sure it will be the same for you. Will keep everything crossed for you though and also sending hugs as I know how stressful that must be. I’m sorry you’re not getting full support, that’s rough. I hope you’re alright. We’re all here for you! Flowers

@Wellthisunexpected oh no I’m sorry. I really hope that’s not what’s happening. Hopefully the tests are just a bit faulty, plenty of things can affect them. I understand your worry though of course, it would freak me out too but I have everything crossed for you that everything is alright! X

Patienceofatoddler · 07/06/2018 22:41

@MagicalCreatures thanks for the tag I hadnt seen this thread 🙈

Great scans ladies!

Mine feels so so far away.

Had my booking in appt yesterday which went great - I told the midwife I intend to give birth at a hospital 120 miles away (likely to be planned induction) and she was completely supportive and already been referred for consultant care due to previous complications.

So feeling quite relieved but also really doesn't feel 'real' at all yet.

8 weeks tomorrow Blush

Patienceofatoddler · 07/06/2018 22:45

@Athers666 hope all goes ok at EPU x x

Cakelaur · 07/06/2018 22:52

@Wellthisunexpected don't panic about tests too much. At a point they start to get lighter. It's called the hook effect. You have to dilute the urine. (I'm not sure at what point this happens)

@peachesarenom just gorgeous!!! 😍

@SpongeBobGrannyPants did you get a pic babe??

Cakelaur · 07/06/2018 22:52

@Athers666 good luck babe! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 keep us posted!!

OP posts:
Athers666 · 07/06/2018 23:29

Home now. They didn't really do anything, just took blood pressure and said to watch and wait! So if it gets worse then they will scan me, but they don't class spotting as urgent. Frustrating but they did say that the scan yesterday being all ok is an encouraging sign x

Athers666 · 07/06/2018 23:33

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

Cakelaur · 07/06/2018 23:38

@Athers666 how frustrating. Surely seeing as you were in there they'd just scan you?! I'm sure all is fine babe. Has it stopped? Or still spotting? Sending hugs.

Athers666 · 08/06/2018 07:55

@Cakelaur I know right! They are mean with their scans. They just said there was no need because on wed the scan looked good and they'd only scan if it got worse! Luckily I'm off work today but I work Saturdays, I'm seriously considering phoning in sick, otherwise what if I start to bleed heavily at work, I won't know what to do...oh man I'm so stressed and upset, especially after the joy of seeing the baby on Wednesday.

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 08/06/2018 08:00

Keeping everything crossed for you @Athers666 @MagicalCreatures @Wellthisunexpected. Rest up and look after yourselves.

I've not posted a pic before I don't think, so will give this a go! It wasn't as clear a pic as we got last time (last pregnancy). Still don't feel particularly connected to this baby yet. Normally I'd be pouring over the pics trying to see a nub or whatever but I'm just so worried all the time now. Roll on 37 weeks!

Next scan is at 16 weeks unless I want one before and I'm just to phone.

Will have to get the 16 week bloods for downs screening too as they couldn't get the neck measurement yesterday (although from what she could see she said it looked normal).

Cakelaur · 08/06/2018 08:17

Omg!!! @SpongeBobGrannyPants that is a lovely photo! Look at the legs!! And the it looks like it's giving your a thumbs up!! 😍 I'll swoon over the pic for you!! Haha!!
That's great they're offering you more scans. Looks like most of the babies were being little buggars this week and not getting into position!!
@Athers666 how's the bleeding now?? At least it's brown babe. I know that's probably not much comfort and it's totally scary. I would take the day off work. You'll never be able to concentrate and stuff. Do work know you're pregnant? Maybe tell them you need to for an reassurance scan due to complications? (A little whole lie never hurt anyone) but they probably won't ask too many questions for that.

OP posts:
Athers666 · 08/06/2018 08:25

@cakelaur I haven't told work yet, I really don't want to yet! Not sure why, I just don't feel ready. I haven't had bleeding overnight and I have managed to poop (sorry!!) and I'm kinda wondering if all the straining from the horrendous constipation may have caused the spotting or something?
At the booking appointment the midwife say if I ever have any queries then I can send her a text and she will get back to me when she's on shift, so I might do that?
Dh got so mad that they wouldn't scan me last night, I know it's because he cares but it doesn't help me with him getting all mad! I'm a very shy and meek type of person and hate it.

Athers666 · 08/06/2018 08:27

@Spongebobgrannypants Lovely scan picture. Look at those legs!

MagicalCreatures · 08/06/2018 08:44

@Athers666 I know the feeling hun. So sorry you’ve had spotting too. Especially after reaching that 12 week Scan milestone.
For me, that milestone had been what’s keeping me going but It really doesn’t seem to bring much reassurance at all. I guess I’m gonna be a paranoid wreck the whole way through.
Spotting seems to have stopped for me for the moment.
I’m still wondering whether I should cancel the appt they gave me for Monday, as my 12 weeks Scan is for Thursday. I Feel like guilty as it’s so close and what if someone really needs that appt more than me.

MagicalCreatures · 08/06/2018 08:47

@SpongeBobGrannyPants that photo is gorgeous. It’s so clear. I’ll also coo over it for you. And try to spot the nub 😊 I’m secretly doing that to all your scans by the way. Can’t wait til it’s my turn. X

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 08/06/2018 09:13

Thanks, we got a lovely clear one of the baby we lost, really sharp and a very clear and obvious nub so I had a feeling he was a boy! This one (and my first two pregnancies) were a bit more fuzzy but I'm just being picky! I don't think there's an obvious nub though, but I'll need to have a proper look at the others we got.

Wellthisunexpected · 08/06/2018 09:20

Thanks cakelaur I've done a bit a reading and it seems where I am is prime time for hook effect. Fingers crossed that's all it is.

Wellthisunexpected · 08/06/2018 09:21

Lovely photo spongebob

Athers666 · 08/06/2018 09:28

@MagicalCreatures It's so horribly stressful isn't it?! The not knowing is killing me. Like you I was waiting for the 12 week milestone but now I feel worse than ever. I hope our little beans hang in there x

MagicalCreatures · 08/06/2018 09:32

@Wellthisunexpected yeh I’ve heard about the hook effect too. Try not to worry yourself. Once you’ve got that strong positive, stop testing. Easier said then done as I even carried on temping and when one day my levels dropped like 0.2 degrees I started flipping out. Thinking I was misacarrying. That was 6 weeks ago. I had to lock the thing up x x

MagicalCreatures · 08/06/2018 09:34

@Athers666 me too Hun. Fx for us both. I keep telling myself that the miscarriage rate goes down to like 2.5% after I heard the heartbeat last but then I think, knowing my luck I’d be that 2.5%. Ergh!!!!!

Athers666 · 08/06/2018 09:44

@MagicalCreatures I must admit I've had the exact same thought, that I'll be that small group that has a miscarriage even after seeing a strong heartbeat! Ugh.

Wellthisunexpected · 08/06/2018 09:46

@MagicalCreatures yeah, I just need to stop testing!
