@Wiggle4 it's hard when exercise has been a big part of your week. Swimming is meant to be amazing for pregnancy, could you swap to that?

You're totally right, I'm just comparing it to my first where I was sick 5-6 times a day every day until 14 weeks. I guess it's just different this time!

Wellthisunexpected · 09/06/2018 18:05

I need to get back to my running, it's been almost 2 weeks now. I'm determined not to as unfit in this pregnancy.

Unfortunately though DS has brought thread worms home from nursery Envy < not envy. I can't take anything as I'm pregnant but try getting a toddler to scrub his nails and not put his fingers in his mouth!

BabynameEdie · 11/06/2018 09:02

Hi everyone just checking in after a busy weekend and because I don't really want Monday to start yet! Feeling exhausted and queasy a lot of the time. Wishing I hadn't wished for more symptoms! 😂 although actually quite relieved to have them.
How's everyone else doing?

Athers666 · 11/06/2018 11:26

@BabynameEdie Morning! Monday is dragging of course. I don't get home until six, I just want to go home and sleep.

maxiflump1 · 11/06/2018 11:29

Morning all! We went camping at the weekend so really tired. However DS has come home with a bug (high temp, off his food) so I have the day off work with him. Lots of sofa snuggling and movies which I am not complaining about today! Just hoping I don't catch whatever he has.

Cakelaur · 11/06/2018 12:56

Morning ladies! I've taken the day off work cos I was so violently sick I peed myself! 😂 so I called it a day and went back to bed!! Haha

Hi girls. Well I went to the EPU this morning after a bit of bleeding last Thursday and everything is looking ok. Baby is measuring 11+4 perfect for my dates and was wiggling so so much. I cried.
I’ve got my 12 week Scan this Thursday morning and I can’t wait now.

@Cakelaur oh dear 🤣 I hope you’re okay! Hopefully you’ll start feeling better soon!

@MagicalCreatures congrats! Delighted for you 😍 amazing news 😀

I’m 6 weeks today and the nausea is starting for me. Tried to eat a strawberry tart (which I normally love) had to run to the toilet to dry heave for a few minutes 🙄 so now I’m starving but literally can’t stand the thought of putting any food in my mouth haha. I’m hoping the nausea is a good sign though & all my other symptoms!

Wellthisunexpected · 11/06/2018 14:04

@magicalcreatures. That's brilliant news.

Morning sickness started today so I've ended up telling my boss, luckily she's great and immediately said it wouldn't affect my promotion later in the year (not that it legally could, but at least I won't have that fight).

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 11/06/2018 14:10

Great news magical! Lovely pic.
That's awful cake! You poor thing. Definitely a day of rest required. Fx you keep the bug away too maxiflump

I think I may be past peak nausea now at 13 weeks edie. It's not gone, but easing. Feeling quite sick at bedtime still and when I wash my face I'm dry heaving quite a bit for some reason (think it's the smell of the cleanser!) so going to bed with my make up on a lot! I'm going to need to call the midwife this week about the mucus plug thing I think too. Still a bit of an issue. 🤭

Primrose16 · 11/06/2018 15:32

@SpongeBobGrannyPants how do you know it’s mucus plug? I didn’t loose mine prior to birth with my daughter, I’m assuming it came out during labour. Some days I’m getting so much snotty discharge- like loads. Sorry 🙈. I can’t remember what discharge was like in early pregnancy with my little girl.

MagicalCreatures · 11/06/2018 16:44

Thanks girls. I’m very relieved.
If anyone wants to have a go at the nub theory I’m game. I’ve already been obsessing over it 😂
Sorry to hear so many of you are so sick. It must be awful. X

kaytees · 11/06/2018 17:00

Yayyyy @MagicalCreatures lovely scan!! And yay it's time for nub theory... I actually think girl looking at your photo but will revise my guess after your 12 week scan!

Mines on weds, has felt like the longest wait in the world since we found out at 3 weeks. It's my birthday tomorrow and I was meant to be at work but son has conjunctivitis so I'll be at home dealing with a stroppy toddler.. hoping it'll at least mean Wednesday morning is here quicker!

Athers666 · 11/06/2018 18:35

@MagicalCreatures So so relieved for you, that's great news.

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 11/06/2018 18:37

Slightly relieved someone else has said they have the snot too primrose! I don't know for sure it's bits of plug but it's definitely what it looks like (snot consistency and colour) albeit not with the steaks of blood you get in it in early labour (well not anymore, I did have brown blood in it for a while earlier in the pregnancy). It's not a discharge I would have at any other time and it's not a bad smell or anything suspicious that would suggest an infection. I've read the plug replenishes itself all the time but I haven't had this much of the snotty stuff before! I really just need to ask the question I guess. Just over analysing everything and worrying my cervix is maybe not in best shape!

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 11/06/2018 18:38

Anyone getting the NIPT/harmony test?

MagicalCreatures · 11/06/2018 19:16

Thanks @kaytees I’m still convinced it’s a boy but yes, I think another 3 days and it might be even clearer at the 12 week mark.
Yours is Wednesday? That’s fab. I can’t wait for you. Be sure to post a pic and we’ll have a guess at yours x x x

Cakelaur · 11/06/2018 19:28

@MagicalCreatures I'm so pleased for you babe!! Naughty bub making you worry!

@hayleyfx glad nausea has kicked in (only in the sense of reassurance) I'm hoping my sickness is coming to an end!!!

@Wellthisunexpected great news on the work front!!

@kaytees good luck with your scan babe!

@SpongeBobGrannyPants I think we'll only do the harmony test if the NT comes up with anything worrying.

OP posts:
kaytees · 11/06/2018 19:35

@MagicalCreatures oh I shall be asking you all for guesses, don't you worry!

@Cakelaur poor you today - not the most glamorous start to the week! Surely things can only get better from here?! Hope you've had a good rest.

@SpongeBobGrannyPants if anything comes up on NT we get harmony test through the hospital, though I believe that's pretty rare. Will definitely have it if there's any concerns.

Primrose16 · 11/06/2018 19:59

@SpongeBobGrannyPants well let me know if you find out the answer.
@MagicalCreatures I still don’t understand the nub theory 🙈

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 11/06/2018 20:26

We didn't get the NT test because baby was in wrong position so I'm thinking the harmony test may be a trustier option than the 16 week bloods.

clairehr · 11/06/2018 20:37

So this happened last week. Super excited, but even more anxious!

1 MC, 2 Chemicals. Age 31. And THIS will hopefully be my first full term.

Trying to stay positive, but finding it so hard, especially with loss of sore boobs and no nausea now at 4w + 2. Have very mild pre AF cramps though, and although they're not tender any more my boobs feel mahoosive today. Normal to feel so anxious though right?!

@clairehr MASSIVE congrats babe!! What amazing news!!! My nausea didn't kick in until 6 weeks and vomiting started at 8 weeks. I'm now 13 weeks and wishing it all to stop!! It was super reassuring though!! 🤞🏻

clairehr · 11/06/2018 20:48

@Cakelaur What an amazing picture 😊 So exciting! I'm going to guess boy, but to be fair I'm normally wrong, haha!

I know I shouldn't be wishing time away, or wishing for symptoms, but I really do want something just to feel 'more pregnant'. It was the loss of symptoms that worried me last time, so got fingers and toes firmly crossed!
