Just done another test and it’s no darker than the one I did 2 days ago. Not sure how many DPO I am but symptoms have gone too and have low abdominal cramping.

It’s taken us 2.5 years to fall pregnant again after last M/C and looks like it’s happening all over again Sad

This baby is so wanted. Feeling very sorry for myself.

I don't understand what you're on about op.
There are two lines.
Each test you've shown has got darker.
You are pregnant.
I think you should see gp, maybe a different one to last time, and see if you can get bloods or an early scan done when you're about 6-8 weeks or pay for a private one if you can.
But honestly, those scans are positive, there's nothing to suggest anything bad is happening or going to happen.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 02/05/2018 20:27

Yes you’re right, some women would love that line, I’ve been that woman plenty of times myself. I think I need to stop looking for silly things and just let nature run it’s course.

I will keep you all updated though, if that’s ok?

FWIW I can definetely see line progression. Please, OP, book an appointment with your doctor about the stress. As others have said they could do blood tests to reassure you. Right now, today, you are pregnant. Be kind to yourself. Flowers

I'm just going to pop a link to pandas, the charity for antenatal and postnatal depression - their help line and resources are really useful and they do have local groups that meet in person or operate through a fb site offering peer support.

http://www.pandasfoundation.org.uk/preantenatal-depression/

They list mc as a significant trigger for this.

What you're experiencing is really normal op. I personally agree a scan won't help; I developed scanxiety after a bad scan. But you probably do need to seek some support as in my experience these feelings can haunt a pregnancy till baby actually arrives. Don't forget your hormones will be going loopy too Thanks

Posting here can be useful to vent and try to gain clarity, but no one will be able to predict the future, today you are pregnant- repeat ad nauseum x100000 ThanksCakeThanksCakeThanks

Ekphrasis · 02/05/2018 20:29

Yes keep us updated :)

TokenBritPoshOfCourse · 02/05/2018 20:33

You really need to speak to your GP before this spirals, this is sounding more and more like OCD thinking rather than just anxiety.

Look after yourself.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 02/05/2018 20:43

It’s funny you should mention OCD. I’m the most unorganised and untidy person I know but these last couple of days I’ve actually been organising books, DVD’s and CD’s into alphabetical order. I think it’s a coping strategy, I don’t know but I bit OH’s head off when he didn’t put a DVD back in the right place. That’s just not me.

Another thing I haven’t mentioned is that myself and OH are farmers. I’ve been taking regular HPT’s (although we’ve been using protection for the last two months) as we’re lambing and have been wanting to make sure I aren’t pregnant as contact with pregnant sheep, wet lambs and afterbirth can all cause MC.

Anyway I was pretty sure I wasn’t pregnant on Thursday but just in case, took the test and obviously was positive.

I had my hands up several sheep’s foofs the day before, even calved a cow so I think that’s been playing on my mind a bit too.

Thank you all so much, you’ve all been so fantastic with me x

OP posts:
Ekphrasis · 02/05/2018 21:00

I can see how that would play on your mind.

I do hope all turns out well - what will be will be. I think seeing a gp would be helpful. Thanks

huha · 02/05/2018 21:29

Definitely not out OP. The line is just as dark as the others. Line progression is not at all an accurate way to determine miscarriage. I too have suffered recurrent miscarriage and I totally get how you are feeling. There is nothing I can say to you except each time a negative thought comes in your head, immediately replace it with a phrase (mine was "all is good"). I can't tell you what's going to happen, no one can, but you ar definitely pregnant until you're bleeding AND a dr has confirmed. Until then, stop saying you're "out" and that's it's "over". It's not!!!

strawberrylove · 02/05/2018 23:59

@Iswallowtoothpaste OCD isn’t just about being neat and tidy. It’s also ritualistic and compulsive behaviours. I’m not an expert by any stretch but it might be worth looking into this a little more and some strategies to manage it if you think that this could be something that’s influencing you. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you xxx

Mummblebee · 03/05/2018 00:01

I am so sorry x

jitterbug5 · 03/05/2018 07:06

Those a progressing normally OP SmileI'll be thinking of you! Thanks

Iswallowtoothpaste · 03/05/2018 07:10

Going to book a doctor’s appointment today. See if he’ll do a blood test (although I highly doubt it)

Don’t shout at me but I’ve done another test this morning, looks ever so slightly lighter to me but I’m not sure whether or not it’s just a faulty batch as the line is a bit dotty/broken and is from the same batch that the 4th test came from. Bought them off amazon so I guess they could be a bit dodgy.

PotteringAlong · 03/05/2018 07:13

Stop. Testing. Now.

Can your mental health take 9 months of this? Really?

Iswallowtoothpaste · 03/05/2018 07:15

@PotteringAlong i think I’ll be fine if I can get confirmation from the doctor. I’ve accepted that I’m probably going to lose this one too, anything else will just be a bonus.

OP posts:
Teateaandmoretea · 03/05/2018 07:20

The later ones look like normal strong positives to me. In fact I tested early worth dd2 and I didn't get any as strong as that. Faint is when you can hardly see it, it never looks like the control line. Cramps are a good sign because it's your uterus starting to stretch and completely normal, unless they are ridiculously painful/ you are bleeding. But y'know I had bleeding as well with both my pregnancies and all was fine.

Right now there is nothing abnormal at all.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 03/05/2018 07:25

Last one looks lighter, doesn’t it?

Well, i think I’m out.
OP posts:
Ekphrasis · 03/05/2018 07:27

My rubbish ones were off amazon.

I only tested if my mh could take it.

I do think pretending (as much as you can on a farm) that you're not pregnant is the best way forward. Thanks

SecretStash · 03/05/2018 07:27

PotterinAlone that’s not fair, and uncalled for.

Plenty of people use the strength of tests to watch their progression. Where do you think Clear Blue got the idea from? Women worried about their pregnancy progression from BFP to scan.

And it was patronising to suggest that she would do it for 9 months, as though she would when the baby was kicking or when she was 8 months pregnant.

Fact is, the darkness (or lack thereof) can be very indicative of something not going smoothly. And she is well within her right to worry, and not be spoken to like an infant on here. Just one pit stop over at TTC forums will show you the droves of women asking about their progression.

OP, go to the GP, explain your plight and get a bloody test.
How many weeks are you? Could you get a private scan?

PotteringAlong · 03/05/2018 07:27

But it doesn’t matter if it’s lighter, that’s the point people are trying to make to you. Pregnancy tests don’t work like that.

Ekphrasis · 03/05/2018 07:28

Cross post op - no I don't think so. I don't think comparing is helpful.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 03/05/2018 07:29

Ekphrasis yes, it’s not exactly looking great is it?

Will get a GP appointment booked.

OP posts:
Teateaandmoretea · 03/05/2018 07:32

Last one looks lighter, doesn’t it?

Nope it looks like another strong positive to me.

Ekphrasis · 03/05/2018 07:33

Sorry I meant I don't think it looks lighter - see gp anyway. It might be worth asking if they'd help you with investigations if it doesn't work out. But at the moment you are pregnant!

SoyDora · 03/05/2018 07:40

I don’t think it looks lighter, no.
