Just done another test and it’s no darker than the one I did 2 days ago. Not sure how many DPO I am but symptoms have gone too and have low abdominal cramping.

It’s taken us 2.5 years to fall pregnant again after last M/C and looks like it’s happening all over again Sad

This baby is so wanted. Feeling very sorry for myself.

With the best will in the world, you are overreacting. Honestly. 1. The tests don’t carry on getting darker indefinitely and 2. yours HAVE got darker. Do a CBD. Then try and stop testing every day until you are able to have an early scan. I understand it is a much-wanted pregnancy but you are going to drive yourself mad if you carry on.

Redrosebelle · 30/04/2018 07:17

My FRERs didn’t go very dark. I was 5 weeks pregnant and my test line was always lighter than the control as far as I remember. I think everyone has cramping too, stuff is stretching and it does get sore! I am currently 10 wks and had a scan and all looks good so far. I know you’re probably wanting to protect yourself from the hurt of your previous mc happening again but you don’t have any reason to worry so far Flowers what you’ve described sounds normal. Honestly step away from the tests - you’re pregnant right now, and tests will send you crazy, they did me!

PrimalLass · 30/04/2018 07:20

They look like perfectly good pregnancy tests to me. I only did one each time as I was paranoid it would change. Stop testing! Cramping is normal and I had no boob pain at all with DD.

flumpybear · 30/04/2018 07:25

Looks good to me! I wouldn't be worrying about how dark the line is - cramping is normal too - I really hope you get your sticky bean - having been through multiple miscarriages I know it's a really worrying time - I've two children now so it can work out ..... albeit all the way through both my pregnancies I assumed I'd miscarry at some point and it would never work out ... they did

SecretStash · 30/04/2018 07:56

They are great lines.

My kind do exactly the same, even with perfectly successful pregnancies.

People obsess about progression too much, there’s too much emphasis on them.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 30/04/2018 08:02

Thank you everyone. Boobs are slightly mor sore than they were early this morning and cramping has somewhat subsided. Again no blood yet and had looked at test again and looks slightly darker still, perhaps due to it drying . . . Don’t know if that makes it less reliable or not.

I looked at my tests from my M/C (yes, I kept them Confused ) there were only two and the first one wasn’t as dark as either of my bottom two this time and the second one was a couple of shades lighter which obviously meant the worst.

I’ve seen so many threads where someone has posted a pic of poor progression and then go on to have a chemical or miscarry. It’s so worrying.

Thank you all for your support. I feel much better now. Will just have to wait and see what happens x

I had similar lines and I'm now sitting here being kicked repeatedly by said pregnancy. I also had a chemical and a miscarriage so I do understand the fear, I think I must have peed on a thousand sticks between 3.5 - 13 weeks!

Remember that pregnancy symptoms don't usually kick in fully until around 6 weeks so I wouldn't set too much store by symptoms. Easier said than done but try and breath, keep calm. You currently have nothing to suggest this isn't viable xx

SecretStash · 30/04/2018 08:07

OP I’m 5 weeks and my boobs are sore on and off and I’ve had cramping. I had that in all my pregnancies.

I can understand your worries, but please hear that it’s can be totally normal and not necessarily a bad sign.

Cantchooseaname · 30/04/2018 08:10

After my miscarriage when I got pregnant again I held my breath in fear every time I went to bathroom and wiped. Even at 38 weeks I still felt the fear that I would find blood, and it would be end.
Anxiety is awful, but I recognised it for what it was- fear. I had some therapy during pregnancy to help me, and tried to do all the mindfulness/ relaxation things.
It was tough- but we made it!!
Take care of yourself- maybe take time to consciously enjoy being pregnant- because right now with a positive test in your hand, and no bleeding you are pregnant.
Good luck.

Cantchooseaname · 30/04/2018 08:11

Also- kept my tests. One was a cbd. The day I found the batteries had gone broke another little piece of my heart.

SoyDora · 30/04/2018 08:13

Also, I am 5 weeks pregnant now and I have no symptoms and some cramping. That’s the same as my other pregnancies at this stage (I have 2 DC)

Iswallowtoothpaste · 30/04/2018 08:58

I just keep questioning why the other test isn’t darker and it’s making my mind whirr.

I absolutely hate this anxiety. Had such a good feeling about this pregnancy and now all I’m feeling is pure dread. Have just taken little one to school and there’s babies and bumps everywhere.

Maybe you just drunk more water? The urine might not be so concentrated, there is not so much due in that test? It could be anything. Why do t you book yourself a doctors appointment for some bloods and stop doing pee tests. I know it’s so hard, especially after previous miscarriages. I know myself you are always waiting for it to go wrong but you can spend ages convinced that it’s failing. Try to keep positive. The best of luck! Xxx

lampert · 30/04/2018 09:25

My tests too AGES to show much by way of progression with the mine getting darker. They seemed the same for a couple of weeks. I also had period pain type cramps for the first 8 weeks - don’t give up hope OP, this could be entirely normal! Flowers

Ekphrasis · 30/04/2018 09:28

Op I understand the anxiety; I became a serial tester after a few mcs - I took photos of the tests at exactly 1 min and 5 min for consistency Blush I needed to be sure I was pregnant as I'm on thyroxine and needed a blood test and then to raise the meds.

In the early stages there really wasn't much difference over a few days as hcg doubles after 48 hours. I did leave 3 days between as a result. Also, I did find differences between batches as well as the time of day and how concentrated wee was.

They then didn't seem to get darker or the same as the control line which worried me and I just had to stop testing.

I notice now that my mind was looking for or the absence of tiny details, which I just can't see now in the pics.

It was awful those early days, and it didn't really get less so till the third trimester (now 38 weeks). And yes I did get lots more cramps this time. Very much hoping this works out for you Thanks

Liz3891 · 30/04/2018 09:32

As long as there's a line and no blood, you're not out!

I'm only 12 weeks but I haven't had a single pregnancy symptom except period-like pains early on (weeks 5-6ish). I was questioning whether I really was pregnant because of that. Thought I was going to turn up to the scan and have them say "um, what are you doing here? you were never pregnant." But I am and so are you!

BettyPitts · 30/04/2018 09:33

Looks good to me, best of luck.

planetsweet · 30/04/2018 09:39

Yes as a pp says it could be less concentrated urine.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Flowers

Gunpowder · 30/04/2018 09:42

My tests were exactly like yours! I was a bit over invested and kept them all stuck in the back of my diary in date order so I could monitor them. I was so worried they weren’t getting darker. I read loads of old threads like this obsessively and was so worried, particularly as I had a tiny bit of bleeding. I would say they didn’t necessarily get darker every day but there was a general progression towards darkness over a week or so if that makes sense? Anyway, I was having twins so there was absolutely no basis to my worry in the end.

BTW cramping is normal as long as it isn’t severe and so are symptoms coming and going (with surges of hormones.) Even the anxiety is a symptom of early pregnancy!

Hope your little one sticks and sorry for your previous losses. Flowers

MyOtherProfile · 30/04/2018 09:44

I feel for you. I was in edge for most of my first oregnancy and always expected the worst. In the end i had to stop reading pg threads, stop listening to other people's bad news and focus on other non baby related things. I hope you're able to do the same and that things will progress nicely in the meantime.

Ps your tests look fine. As a PP said the darkness could be down to anything and the colour of the lines isn't an exact science related to how strong the pregnancy is.

Roaring20s · 30/04/2018 09:44

Honey those tests love great. Stronger every time.
Best of luck Flowers

Roaring20s · 30/04/2018 09:45

Also I had quite seriously bad cramps all the way through my pregnancy. I was terrified but it was normal and totally ok.

ellsharks · 30/04/2018 09:54

If its anything, mine never got any darker and I'm still going at 10 weeks.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 30/04/2018 11:35

Thank you all. No more testing for me. Will just sit tight and wait!

Lndnmummy · 30/04/2018 12:36

In the nicest possible way, stop the testing Flowers. You are feeding your anxiety which is making you feel worse. Right now your body is pregnant, no one knows what will happen tomorrow but right here, right now you are growing a little bean! Congratulations!!
