Just done another test and it’s no darker than the one I did 2 days ago. Not sure how many DPO I am but symptoms have gone too and have low abdominal cramping.

It’s taken us 2.5 years to fall pregnant again after last M/C and looks like it’s happening all over again Sad

This baby is so wanted. Feeling very sorry for myself.

Sezlex
You might be better off posting in the pregnancy boards?

Iswallowtoothpaste · 01/06/2018 18:58

Had first midwives appointment today. High risk and consultant led thanks to my high BMI. BP was slightly on the high side already too but I have been known to have white coat hypertension as my mum is a nurse and used to do my BP at home where it would be completely normal.

May I ask your bmi? Mine is 38. There is a thread for us larger pregnant ladies if you would like to join.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 01/06/2018 19:45

Oh god mines a lot more than that. Absolutely ashamed and mortified that I’ve let myself get so big. It was 25 when I was pregnant with my DD 5 years ago. Now it’s 47 😭 can’t believe I’ve been so stupid as to get that big and then even contemplate having a baby.

TinyPawz · 01/06/2018 21:40

The hospital will look after you well. Easy to do, pile on weight. Contentment. I imagine there will be a lot of us doing sw or similar once babies are born. Don't be too hard on yourself.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 01/06/2018 21:48

@TinyPawz I think I will try and lose weight this pregnancy anyway! It’s obvious I’ve got PLENTY to lose. Absolutely gutted that I’ve managed to get soooo big! Just feel like I’ve set myself and my baby up for huge problems by conceiving at this size. Really pissed off with myself.

Uggghhh yet again, more bleeding. Only when I wipe but it’s bright red and has small ‘stringy’ bits in it. Accompanied by mild cramps (which I’ve had all the way through to be honest)

I’m hoping it’s just my cervical ectropion but not so sure. I can self refer to local EPU for a scan but feel silly doing so if it’s just ectropion - there will be other women who need the scans more desperately than I do. Having all of the usual symptoms still so I guess that’s a good sign.

My brain just drops into my arse when I see blood. Hate, hate, hate it!! Even though I’ve been given a reason for it, it still makes me panic. Supposed to be 9 weeks either tomorrow or Thursday.

OP posts:
Mrstobe90 · 05/06/2018 23:38

If it's bright red, I'd go to the EPU.
You won't be wasting their time at all.
Better safe than sorry.

huha · 06/06/2018 06:25

Safe than sorry? That's a bit dramatic Confused

OP, call EPU but please try not to panic. Was it spotting or heavy?

Iswallowtoothpaste · 06/06/2018 06:52

It wasn’t spotting, it was more than that but nothing to show on a pad IYSWIM.

I’ll see how it goes today and then make a decision as to whether or not to call EPAU

OP posts:
furandchandeliers · 06/06/2018 11:15

Bright red with bits in isn't a good sign at all ins, I'd ring the hospital but I'm not sure they'd do anything anyway as it's so early, but it's worth a try. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Iswallowtoothpaste · 06/06/2018 19:02

@furandchandeliers it’s pretty much what I had last time regarding the bright red with bits in, had a scan afterwards and all was fine.

Touch wood, I haven’t had much more today and what I have had has been a very small amount with brownish blood.

OP posts:
Iswallowtoothpaste · 06/06/2018 19:04

Oh and have felt soooo poorly today. Think bub is still partying away down there!

OP posts:
huha · 06/06/2018 23:28

Good way to reassure @furandchandeliers 🙄
If you RTFT you would know it's perfectly normal for cervical erosion to have such bleeding.

Try not to worry OP. How long until your 12 week scan?

SubtitlesOn · 06/06/2018 23:51

Hope tomorrow is a better day Smile

Iswallowtoothpaste · 07/06/2018 07:20

@huha I’m not sure when I’m having my 12 week scan as haven’t had a letter through yet. Had my midwife booking in appointment last week though so hopefully should hear something soon.

I’ve had a brown bleed this morning and am having cramps and lower back ache. Have rung EPAU who’ve booked me in for a scan on Monday at 9 am. They’ve told me if it get heavier in the mean time I go to A&E. Reading other stories, bleeding doesn’t seem to end well at this stage. I’m so, so worried.

OP posts:
TinyTerror1 · 15/06/2018 09:55

Don't google, don't read posts on here. They are both basically designed to make you anxious. The bleed is likely your ectropion, the cramps may well be your placenta growing. If you can, rest and put your feet up a bit, but make sure you have a good distraction - box set, radio on your favourite channel, whatever it is - and try not to dwell on it Flowers

Iswallowtoothpaste · 15/06/2018 10:50

@TimyTerror1 I’m trying not to. Hoping and praying that it’s just the ectropion. It’s very similar to the bleeding I was having before my first scan where all turned out to be fine. Hadn’t really had any cramps for a week or so and then they came back last weekend. Mild but there and enough to be disconcerting.

I’d be absolutely devastated to find out we’d lost at this stage after all the worry we’ve had already. Especially after seeing a healthy bub first time.

I’m worried about the very real possibility of a MMC now.

OP posts:
TinyTerror1 · 15/06/2018 11:13

I've checked my pregnancy encyclopedia and that also says cramps are common in the first trimester as the placenta implants and grows. Fingers crossed for Monday. Remember, 'most women have normal pregnancies with no complications'. Try repeating that to yourself every time the negative thoughts start up xx

Iswallowtoothpaste · 15/06/2018 11:45

Thank you @TinyTerror1. I’m hoping that’s what they are, they’ve certainly been no worse than period cramps. I’ve even read tha the bleeding can be partly due to the fact that the placenta takes over very soon so it could be that or the cervical ectropion. We will just have to see what Monday brings. Don’t want to get my hopes up. Self preservation and all that. Before this morning I was starting to get so excited!

OP posts:
Iswallowtoothpaste · 15/06/2018 16:51

Cramping has been a lot better than it has been for a while - not that it’s been that bad to begin with TBH.

Had the tiniest little red spots of blood since my bleed this morning. Thinking it could’ve been due to the fact that I’d just pooped when I had the bleed.

Does anyone know if the U/S will likely be internal or external on Monday? I’ll be either 10+4 or 10+5. Bearing in mind that I’m carrying a fair bit of timber too. Jut don’t want to panic if she can’t find it on external initially.

OP posts:
TinyPawz · 15/06/2018 18:17

Epu generally do internal exams. Good luck

Iswallowtoothpaste · 15/06/2018 18:42

Ah thank you, I’ll brace myself for another internal!

furandchandeliers · 15/06/2018 21:02

I had a early scan at 7 weeks today and my bmi is 34 and it was a normal ultrasound.
