Just done another test and it’s no darker than the one I did 2 days ago. Not sure how many DPO I am but symptoms have gone too and have low abdominal cramping.

It’s taken us 2.5 years to fall pregnant again after last M/C and looks like it’s happening all over again Sad

This baby is so wanted. Feeling very sorry for myself.

@PenguinChristmas that’s really good. When I was pregnant with DD and bled they had me in for a scan before 8 weeks but this time they haven’t wanted to know.

I haven’t bothered booking a private scan simply because I’m hopeful that I’ll get an NHS scan soon.

I’m thinking back to a while ago when I felt a lump on my cervix, probably around this time last year. I got it checked out straight away and got a rapid referral to see the consultant who explained that it was a harmless, benign Nabothian cyst. This morning I had a little root around just out of curiosity after washing and sanitising my hands. This lump feels bigger and my cervix felt slightly open, this doesn't concern me, I wouldn’t expect my cervix to fully close again after birthing an 8lb 13oz baby anyway but I’m thinking that the cyst could perhaps be a cause of the bleeding? We haven’t had sex for 4 weeks, since we found out (poor us!) so it couldn’t have been caused by that.

Still having feelings of nausea although not actually being sick but I think that’s fairly standard, sore boobs and this supposed round ligament pain intermittently. Been having mild AF like cramps on and off too but this is all normal for me during pregnancy.

I just can’t wait for this scan where I can either hear the worst, accept and move on or see our baby’s heartbeat going ten to the dozen. Either way it will be easier than what I’m feeling now.

I've been an NHS employee for nearly 10 years and can honestly say I hadn't ever experienced the postcode lottery within the NHS until I became pregnant last year. I had bleeding at 6 weeks, phoned my GP and had an EPU scan booked for first thing the next morning. (Good lottery!) Then when it came to being overdue I was coerced into accepting an induction. Had I been in my parent's postcode I'd have had the induction and then gone home to go into labour there. I went in, was given a pessary and only then informed that I wasn't allowed to go home and I had to stay on a ward with 20 other women all screaming in pain to wait for my labour to start. It was traumatising, I got less than 30 mins sleep that night so went into labour utterly exhausted and because they wouldn't let me move and I couldn't have a bath or do anything my baby moved from optimal position to back to back and then got twisted so we ended up in theatre. I was really upset and felt like I'd been made a prisoner. (Not such a good lottery).

I'm so sorry to hear how unsupportive your GP is being OP, it's not fair. My GP when I skipped in to announce I was pregnant (as that's what the NHS website told me to do) replied with "is it wanted?" and when I said yes they said I didn't need to see them and had wasted their time! 🙈🙈🙈 Hope you manage to get a scan soon xx

Scan tomorrow at EPAU, have to be there for 10 but have been told that I may have to wait a few hours as they’re very busy. I don’t care!! Resolution at last, either way good or bad I will soon know for definite.

That's great news, really glad you don't have to wait over the bank holiday. Let us know how you get on.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 24/05/2018 14:43

@isambardo me too! I was really panicking about anything happening during the holidays when we had DC’s so I’d so grateful that they’ve fit me in ASAP I really am!

Iswallowtoothpaste · 24/05/2018 17:13

My sore boobs have gone today so of course that’s bugging me now. What will be will be, so pleased I’ve gotten in for a scan so soon!

Yay! You have a scan 😁

All signs point to a little bean growing in there. 👍🏻

Iswallowtoothpaste · 25/05/2018 05:57

I hope so, still very 50/50 but I know deep down that everything points towards that.

I managed to get a good night’s sleep somehow and I’m gonna go grab a shower before I wake DD up. I’m gonna be so emotional dropping her off at school today.

Stomach is churning but at least by dinner time today we’ll hopefully know.

Thank you all for your support, I’ll keep you updated.

Thank you, had a tiny bit more pink/brown whilst I was in the shower and getting dull cramps. Could really have done without that this mobring, it hasn’t been much but it’s been more than I’ve had over the past couple of days 😭😭😭😭

GOOD NEWS!

I feel so incredibly lucky! She couldn’t find anything when she scanned my stomach and asked me to go for a wee as my bladder was full to bursting the did an internal. I couldn’t look at the screen and when she turned it around I wasn’t sure what I was going to see. Anyway, there was a little heartbeat going ten to the dozen, measuring in at just over 7 weeks, I thought I’d be around 8 weeks tomorrow but that was from my very sketchy dates. Everything looks fine for the stage I’m at. I sobbed like a baby and was shaking when she told me.

The gynae doctor also did an examination of my cervix and said that I have some cervical ectroption which is probably what’s causing the bleeding. I think that the EPU nurse could tell that she was blinding me with science a bit and she just said that it’s far enough away from the baby not to panic.

Obviously not out of the woods yet and I’m taking nothing for granted but it’s very promising and I can self refer to them any time up until 20 weeks. Extremely impressed with the care we were given. We were seen very quickly and all of the nurses, the sonographer and the doctor were excellent. Faith well and truly restored.

Well there we have it! The strength of a FRER line is not necessarily indicative of how far long you are!

Congratulations!

Did they say what your due date might be?
