Just done another test and it’s no darker than the one I did 2 days ago. Not sure how many DPO I am but symptoms have gone too and have low abdominal cramping.

It’s taken us 2.5 years to fall pregnant again after last M/C and looks like it’s happening all over again Sad

This baby is so wanted. Feeling very sorry for myself.

Definitely sounds all good! Really pleased for you OP

Hollieb1987 · 15/05/2018 16:06

@Iswallowtoothpaste that's exactly how I described my tummy! Just goes to show that us women can't always trust the dye in pregnancy tests. Sounds like you're cooking up a baby! Congratulations x

Iswallowtoothpaste · 15/05/2018 19:11

@StayingAtTamaras thank you!

@Hollieb1987 it’s exactly how I felt with DD but at a later stage that I am now. Obviously the dye in HPT’s isn’t as much of an indicator of MC as I first thought. And them bloody clear blues with weeks indicator!! Don’t even get me started on them! Anyway, I don’t know for sure that all is well yet so will keep schtum for now. All signs are good though. Boobs are sore, generally getting a couple of hours of feeling rotten on an afternoon, sometimes more frequently but some days absolutely no nausea at all and I’m absolutely knackered!!

Arrrggggghhhhhhhh spoke too soon Sad had a small amount of pinky discharge when I wiped accompanied by mild cramps. It’s settled a bit now thankfully but this is exactly how my MC started.

Need this date for a scan now.

@Iswallowtoothpaste stay positive! Got my fingers crossed for you x

Iswallowtoothpaste · 16/05/2018 09:32

I think I’m going to be bleeding on and off throughout this pregnancy. Unnerving but must carry on regardless! If it’s meant to be and all that shit

OP posts:
franktheskank · 16/05/2018 12:59

You must be at least 5 weeks now? Book a private scan they don't cost much.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 16/05/2018 13:45

@franktheskank they’re about £100 round here and the nearest one is 40 miles away. I’ve been referred for an early scan so hopefully that’ll come through soon.

Have had loads of stretchy pains and cramps today and can literally feel something down there like a weight, I don’t know how to describe it. Feels like my uterus has grown over the last 4 hours though!! Bizarre. When I breath in it stays put if you know what I mean.

OP posts:
memaymamo · 17/05/2018 23:45

Those stretching pains and heavy feeling were always the telltale sign for me! I never had many other symptoms.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 18/05/2018 07:34

@memaymamo I can really feel it when I lay on my stomach now! Seem to remember only being able to feel it with DD at the end of the first trimester but I’m around 7 weeks now.

So it turns out that my doctor HASNT referred me for an early scan despite bleeding throughout this pregnancy so far and she’s hasn’t referred me to the midwives either Angry

Trying to hurry things along a bit yesterday and was informed by a different doctor that nothing has been put in place. No referrals FUCK ALL!

Quite angry to be honest, especially seeing as though I have a history of M/C. I live near a town where they’re closing down loads of services but building hundreds of new houses. It really is absolute pants.

How annoying- can you ask for an emergency appointment seeing as it is the dr's fuck up?

Oooh that's harsh !

hausenberger · 19/05/2018 07:20

Frank that's a horrible thing to say and not true. Op will know best abouit the most appropriate way to spend her money and headspace

SecretStash · 19/05/2018 07:41

That’s uncalled for.

I needed an early scan but no way was I travelling a small 10 miles and spending just £80 on a scan.
I could have done, but I didn’t want to spend my time and money on it. Why would I when the doctor had referred me for a scan?!

The OP has quite rightly waited a while because she wasn’t sure if things would pan out, this is something the doctors say to people a lot anyway. Then she saw her GP about a scan, so why on earth would she travel 40 miles and pay £100 when the doctor had referred her for an nhs scan?!

It’s not her fault the doctor failed to deliver.

OP did the doctor make another referral?

Maedoula · 19/05/2018 07:47

I think frank is living upto the second part of their username...skank! What a knob! Maybe she can afford it but doesn't want to pay £100? Maybe she pays her taxes into the system and expects the NHS to do their job?

@Iswallowtoothpaste I would go to A&E and say I'm having bleeding and pain (if you are) and they would refer you to EPU

Iswallowtoothpaste · 19/05/2018 08:18

Seriously @Frank. I’ve reported your comment. I think you’re more desperate for me to have a scan than I am!

Been through so much already with this pregnancy with uncertainty and anxiety and no, maybe I don’t want to fork out £100 on a simple scan. Perhaps I can afford it but don’t agree with companies capitalising on the anxiety and fear of newly pregnant women. These scans can be ‘reassuring’ but it’s exploitation! Seriously, take your head out of your arse!

Yes this doctor has made another referral. Hopefully I will get somewhere this time. Thank you for all of your support.

SecretStash · 19/05/2018 08:54

Maedoula, I can’t speak for all hospitals but my closest ones wouldn’t scan you if you went to A&E, the EPAU’s are closed on the weekends.
You may be admitted if it was suspected ectopic or you were haemorrhaging but otherwise they would send you on your way.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 19/05/2018 10:29

I’ve been to A&E with both M/C and wasn’t referred for a scan as a result either time. Was just told to ‘sit tight.’

Iswallowtoothpaste · 19/05/2018 11:33

Been reading about blighted ovulated this morning and how you don’t necessarily bleed it’s them, they give off faint lines that don’t get stronger on HPT’s and because the placenta is growing you can still get symptoms such as nausea, fatigue and sore breasts. Of corse now I’m freaking out about this. Arrrrgggghhhhhhhhhh

OP posts:
Iswallowtoothpaste · 19/05/2018 11:33

Ovums not ovulated

TinyPawz · 19/05/2018 13:08

Step away from google. Craziness lies that way. Hopefully (everything crossed) your referral comes quickly to put your mind at ease. You've been having an awful hard run at the minute.

Girlwiththearabstrap · 19/05/2018 13:37

Stop googling and trying to diagnose yourself. Worrying about and researching the worst case scenarios won't change the outcome or make you feel any better. I hope your referral comes through soon, what an added stress not having the referral done. I think if you have had more bleeding and you're over 6 weeks the epu would probably see you without a gp referral?

Iswallowtoothpaste · 19/05/2018 14:15

I know I’m being stupid. It just worries me that your body can be so deceptive and you can have all of the symptoms for weeks and there still be no baby.

Have been having the funny sharp pain in my left side a bit more frequently today too, haven’t had it for almost a week. Seems to be mostly when I stand up but quite random when it appears really. Feels like a sharp stitch like pain but only lasts for a second at a time. Didn’t have me doubled over but makes me wince a bit. Putting it down to everything stretching.
