Just done another test and it’s no darker than the one I did 2 days ago. Not sure how many DPO I am but symptoms have gone too and have low abdominal cramping.

It’s taken us 2.5 years to fall pregnant again after last M/C and looks like it’s happening all over again Sad

This baby is so wanted. Feeling very sorry for myself.

Oh, sorry, I have misunderstood. Thought your period had started!

Iswallowtoothpaste · 11/05/2018 15:37

It’s fine! Have had a small bit of bleeding but have been feeling very sick for the last hour or so. We’ll just have to see!

I also misread 'come on' - glad things are still on track Smile

I just had another read of my pregnancy encyclopedia. It's estimated that around 10% of women have bleeding in the very earliest stages of a successful pregnancy and 33% of women have spotting or bleeding in the first trimester overall. You should still get it checked out but try not to panic too much.

TinyTerror1 · 11/05/2018 15:59

In case that's not clear, both of those are statistics for bleeding that is not related to a miscarriage.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 11/05/2018 16:29

Oh balls! I’ve just read that back! Meaning the sickness had ‘come on’.

Sorry everyone. Thank you @Tinyterror. I know I shouldn panic as have bled with all my pregnancies however, so far, only carried one to term so my odds aren’t exactly encouraging Confused

Must think positive and hope I get this scan.

Sending positive thoughts your way OP, you're doing really well.
And yes, if you've bled with all of them it's definitely not a bad sign but I am glad they are trying to fit you in. Don't be afraid to chase them up if you don't hear back either, especially as it's a friday and it's hard to get hold of people at the weekend.

Keep us updated?

Iswallowtoothpaste · 11/05/2018 21:24

Thank you all, will certainly keep you all updated!

Been to look at a new stock bull tonight with OH. Called completely unannounced but what a wonderful family! Our kids played out in the garden with their kids, they were fed, watered and entertained while we had a look round the farmer’s stock! I was in cow heaven Grin although perhaps shouldn’t have been in a pen with 20+ bulls in my condition. They were very quiet and well behaved though.

Anyone else got loads of watery CM down there??? Feels so wet, never known anything like it!

OP posts:
Iswallowtoothpaste · 12/05/2018 07:54

A little bit more brown spotting this morning, hardly anything. Trying not to panic but it’s difficult.

OP posts:
TinyPawz · 12/05/2018 08:00

Brown is good relatively speaking. Positive thoughts and fingers crossed you get a date for early scan soon

Iswallowtoothpaste · 12/05/2018 08:56

@TinyPawz I hope so. Just wish it would stop Sad

We’d have to drive 40 miles to the nearest, fully functioning A&E to get checked out with 2 DC’s. The services round here more locally really are naff.

OH was wanting an afternoon injection lambs but I’m think that really I should be taking it easy. He thinks I’m using it as an excuse to get out of doing jobs but I really don’t want to take any chances.

They all say pregnant.
I had cramping and bleeding through both my pregnancies.
They are teenagers now....

Try to relax, and best wishes. As pastabest aid the darkness on the lines is meaningless.

FuckingHateRain · 12/05/2018 09:20

Brown is old blood!! Fab that you don't have red!!
Btw I wish I had a scan machine to come over and scan you!! 🤣🤣🤣

ProperLavs · 12/05/2018 09:31

I might be wrong here, but i don't think taking it easy will make a difference either way. if you are going to miscarry at this stage hanging around the house won't stop it, nor will being with lambs. I'd just get on with life if I were you.

whyhastherumgone · 12/05/2018 10:56

i too would stay busy OP it will help take your mind off things. And i got told repeatedly being active/living my life/running etc will have had no effect.

As another poster said brown is old blood and they tell you not to worry about that x

huha · 12/05/2018 19:13

How far is a self-refer EPU from you, OP?

Iswallowtoothpaste · 12/05/2018 19:17

Thank you all, ended up just getting on as usual but due to me not thinking straight, made a small mistake, kids were acting up and OH went absolutely booloo. He apologised after but he swore at me and told me I was fucking useless. Had been having sharp pains in my left side prior onthis so as you can imagine all sorts was running through my head.

I guess it’s all sort of getting to him too but still no excuse to speak to me like that. Had no pains and no bleeding which is good.

OP posts:
Iswallowtoothpaste · 12/05/2018 20:14

@huha there are 2 ‘local’ EPUs, each around 30+ miles away and I’ve looked into self referral and only women who have had previous ectopic pregnancies can self refer.

OP posts:
Scrowy · 12/05/2018 20:19

Was the mistake sheep related by any chance? Grin

I always had really sharp 'pulling' pains in the first trimester. Every time I stood up it felt like muscles tearing - it's ligaments stretching isn't it? Another positive sign rather than something to worry about hopefully!

Iswallowtoothpaste · 12/05/2018 20:40

@Scrowy Grin feral children and sheep related. I much prefer cattle.

Hopefully that’s all it is! It’s settled down now apart from what feels like a slightly pulled muscle in my right side. Hoping it’s all good!

OP posts:
huha · 12/05/2018 23:32

Argh that sucks @Iswallowtoothpaste. When I was pg with dd2 I had a very small bleed at 5 weeks, promptly freaked out, and went to EPU. I was fortunate that you could self refer for any reason though. I will say it gave me zero piece of mind though. They could only see a sac and a pole, nothing else. I went back a week later and saw the hb then then went back twice more due to my paranoia.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 13/05/2018 11:13

@huha that’s part of the reason I’m quite willing to sit tight for another week or two really. If I could only see a sac, no matter how much they explained it was normal, I’d still massively freak out.

Have been getting some sharp pains in my side but also getting similar ones in my lower back so fingers crossed it’s nothing to worry about. Been quite nauseous this morning although boobs aren’t as sore as they were earlier but I know that comes and goes.

OP posts:
Hollieb1987 · 13/05/2018 23:24

I cramped every single day on and off up until 7 weeks. I woke every day thinking that I would find a bloody mess. I am now 13 weeks and pain free. Fingers crossed for you x

Iswallowtoothpaste · 14/05/2018 18:28

@Hollieb1987 yes that’s pretty much been me although they’ve died down a little bit now.

My left boob is absolutely killing though! Feels as though it’s on fire!

OP posts:
Hollieb1987 · 14/05/2018 20:42

@Iswallowtoothpaste sometimes the cramps would be so bad they would take my breath away and last anything up to 15 - 20 minutes. It was honestly the worst time of my life and it ruined the first part of my pregnancy because I was absolutely convinced something was wrong. I have had three NHS scans and a private one - nobody can give me any reason for the cramps! I have since had on and off symptoms too but now in the second trimester and feeling like a new woman! X

Iswallowtoothpaste · 15/05/2018 08:38

@Hollieb1987 I bet that was awful for you. I’d have been so worried if I was cramping that intensely. Mine come and go but are only ever mild really. Very similar to period cramps but more of a stretching feeling now. Over the last couple of days have definitely noticed the feeling of something ‘expanding’ down there. OH was telling me it was too early for that but I definitely can. If I lay on my tummy, it feels as though someone has put a tennis ball on my lower abdomen. Hopefully this is all good!
