Anyone else had a positive test recently and due in January 2019? Natural cycles says I'm due 3rd Jan 😊 would be lovely to hear others in the same boat!

Currently 4+2 so really early days still.

Congrats @Lauraliverpool and @mondler - keeping my fingers crossed for you both. @Lauraliverpool yours does sound very normal so I wouldn't worry too much :).

@mondler - do you know how many DPO you are? If it helps I was 11DPO when mine flashed up saying '1-2 weeks' and I've just done another one today at 21DPO and got 3+. Maybe you could try again in a week and see? I'm hopeful for you though as I don't think they can be that accurate- you could be in the brink of it going to 2-3.

🤞🏻 x

mondler · 02/05/2018 22:37

@waitingforbubbles thanks, I'm not exactly sure of my DPO but my last period started on the 31st March and I'm usually 28 days. I'm hoping I'm like you and it changes the weeks soon - I have a clear blue stashed in the bathroom cabinet waiting for Saturday although it seems such a long time away...

@PermanentlyExhaustedPigeon18 thanks for the welcome Smile

waitingforbubbles · 02/05/2018 22:45

@mondler well I have my fingers crossed for you :) if you're not sure about ovulation I definitely would try not to worry too much.

Welcome to the thread @Chelle13 and so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Any miscarriage must be so heartbreaking but 21 weeks must be so incredibly hard to cope with.

Congratulations on your rainbow baby though 🌈! So exciting and it will be so lovely for your other children too!

Xxx

yourmyforever · 03/05/2018 20:05

Hi everyone, hoping I can join!

Got a VERY faint positive on an cheapie test yesterday and confirmed today with a frer! Haven't even told my other half yet as he's not back from work till late tonight and I want to tell him face to face :)

I've had lots of brown spotting and mild cramping since Sunday but the line today was much darker than I was expecting and do remember having spotting with DS1 so I'm staying positive! Feel so excited right now x

Also estimated due date is coming out as Jan 12th 2019!

mondler · 03/05/2018 20:11

@yourmyforever welcome and congrats! Let us know how it goes telling your OH Grin

Lauraliverpool · 03/05/2018 21:12

@yourmyforever i got my positive on Sunday on a frer, did second test on Tuesday line darker and a clear blue digital pregnant 1-2 . I too had little cramping and some brown spotting was worrying me this has now eased off, remember similar to when I was having my son. My mum asked a midwife in work and she said the brown is from the embryo embedding into the womb and the cramps are things being moved about and the ligaments stretching. I think the 12th of January 2019 is coming out as my estimated due date. X

ruthieruthuk · 03/05/2018 21:15

According to my dates I'm also due Jan 3rd! Would be great to chat in here, first babies? This one will be my 5th 😆😆

Chelle13 · 03/05/2018 21:19

Im on my 5th pregnancy but 4th baby @ruthieruthuk

PermanentlyExhaustedPigeon18 · 03/05/2018 21:38

I'm 6 weeks but have a stinking cold, does anyone have any remedies they can recommend? I heard you shouldn't really take decongestants. I'm on day 4 still snotty/ nasal -y and coughing incessantly! It's getting me down now but also worried now!!

Lauraliverpool · 03/05/2018 21:51

@ruthieruthuk third pregnancy 2nd baby. X

waitingforbubbles · 04/05/2018 08:00

@PermanentlyExhaustedPigeon18 apparently saline spray can be good for decongesting and totally safe (it's just sea water). You can get it at boots, I've been using it for hay fever.

@ruthieruthuk I'm also due 3rd Jan but this is my first baby!! 🍼

Thanks @waitingforbubbles I'm going to see if I can get done at lunch 😊

loopdeelou · 04/05/2018 11:05

Has anyone else managed to see their doctor? I phoned this morning. Mostly because I'm concerned about the meds I am currently taking. I got some advice on the phone but was otherwise told to make an appointment for when I'm at least 8 weeks pregnant as they don't want to see you before then. I'm now not sure of the purpose of seeing the gp as they also asked me to book a midwife appointment for around the same time and have been given a time when I'll be 9 weeks pregnant. I am not sure what I expected in my head... a congrats maybe?! Felt pretty much dismissed and felt it was a case of go away and only come and see us if you don't have an early MC. I felt like the 2ww was the worst. Now got to wait another 4weeks and just hope all is okay in that time...

peaches1991 · 04/05/2018 11:12

@loopdeelou I went to the GP yesterday, he just took my blood pressure and weighed me, then did my referral to the midwife. I also got a Emma's diary pack. He said it's very early (I'm 4+2) so I won't see the midwife till about 8 weeks

loopdeelou · 04/05/2018 11:29

@peaches1991 it almost doesn't seem worthwhile when I'm sure the midwife will repeat those checks! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. It seemed odd to me that the GP was so reluctant to see me but has then asked for me to see them 5 days before my midwife appointment Confused

SecretStash · 04/05/2018 12:24

How are everyone’s symptoms?
I’m 5+4 and last time at this stage I was being sick and felt rotten.

I have very mild waves of nausea in the morning but otherwise feel totally normal.
Which of course worries me that something isn’t right. Hmm

mumofmunchkin · 04/05/2018 12:27

I'm jumping in! I'm due on, I think, 9 January. This is my third child - I've already got two boys. In our area you self refer to the midwife, and book an appointment at about 8 weeks, so I'm going to give them a ring next week.

Feeling generally ok, just a bit tired, and not dealing very well with hunger!

mumofmunchkin · 04/05/2018 12:29

@loopdeelou I didn't see a GP in either of my other two pregnancies. I told the GP practice that I was pregnant and was booked in with the midwife for when I was about 8 weeks pregnant, and then was just seen by the midwife from then on. They only book you in with the doctor if you might be contemplating ending the pregnancy.

jellyfish2210 · 04/05/2018 14:01

I'm feeling ok. Really tired and getting waves of nausea otherwise feeling fine. Occasionally have super mild period like pain but nothing that I would think would be concerning.

What vitamins is everyone taking? I was taking pregnacare pre conception ones which I'm still taking. Not sure if I should be taking something else...

peaches1991 · 04/05/2018 14:24

I've been way more hungry that usual and I've had really mild pains like you @jellyfish2210 - they're almost like a stretching feeling rather than pains. I'm taking just folic acid at the minute but the GP told me to get pregnacare, apparently it has everything in it you need like Vitamin D etc. They used to give them on prescription but that's been cut now.

loopdeelou · 04/05/2018 14:50

Thanks @mumofmunchkin. Definitely not contemplating ending it! It's very much wanted! Just seems odd that I have to go see them when I'll be seeing a midwife right after!
