Just looking for a board to join, have just started weaning myself off conception. I’m due 26th December. Feeling like it would be nice to join a group with people due similar time :)
Feeling a little anxious about things going wrong and dp doesn’t really understand x

I feel crap today just absolutely knackered no motivation to do anything - sofa and biscuits it is x

RoxytheRexy · 29/04/2018 16:53

I’m sorry you’re having such a shitty time @Rose2887. Your partner sounds like he’s behaving really badly to you. There’s really no need to say such awful things to you. You deserve to be treated with respect and kindnesses

FireAndRain45 · 29/04/2018 19:22

Omg guys...I can't tell anyone in real life and I need to get it out so I'm just going to post it here...my DP just proposed to me!!!

He said he was planning to do it later in the year but since we found out I'm pregnant he couldn't wait.

No fanfare, no extravagant plan, just looked at me while we were sat on the sofa and said 'will you marry me?' It was EXACTLY how I would have wanted it.

Can't believe it!

Iswallowtoothpaste · 29/04/2018 19:23

Huge congratulations FireandRain Grin

Pob13 · 29/04/2018 19:25

FireandRain Congratulations! How sweet of him

Rose2887 · 29/04/2018 19:31

Hey everyone, thanks for your kind words really meant a lot!!! We had a chat earlier and he’s been nicer so fingers crossed.

@FireAndRain45 congratulations.. you just be feeling on cloud 9!!!!!

I went out for a carvery earlier and I’m so bloated I couldn’t eat much, can’t believe I’m showing already!

How is everyone else feeling? I’m still not sick.. feel a little rough and now and again but no sickness at all as yet Grin

Xx

@FireAndRain45 CONGRATULATIONS! 👰 very exciting times ahead!

@Rose2887 glad everything’s better, I guess it’s hard for them too, and they can be just as bewildered about it as us - and that comes out in different ways. But if he keeps doing it you need to tell him to strap a pair on and grow up! 😉

I have felt absolutely terrible all day. I’ve had a constant niggly headache all day, and I never get those, and the idea of food has made me feel sick. My friend has suggested I eat my way though the sickness...😬 so I’ve just had some crackers.
Also had some yummy pains today, which has freaked me out slightly.
I think for the foreseeable future I will mainly be eating beige foods.

Hope everyone else is ok xx

N8Emma · 29/04/2018 20:28

Hey everyone, I woke up yesterday feeling really wiped out, like having a hangover with a headache and wanting to eat all the time. Today I'm just hungry. No sickness yet but I expect it's all to come.
Is anyone else still doing pregnancy tests?

helbel42 · 29/04/2018 20:28

Congratulations @FireAndRain45 that's such lovely news!!! x

N8Emma · 29/04/2018 20:34

@FireAndRain45 huge congratulations!
@Rose2887 that's great that you've managed to sort things out.
I've ended up telling a few friends this weekend. I was such a big drinker before (and I recently got married so everyone has been expecting us to start trying) so couldn't get away with hiding it! As soon as I ordered a soft drink, they guessed! We were just going to keep the news to close family for now, but I guess I'll need my friends if something goes wrong anyway.

emmalou9 · 29/04/2018 20:38

@FireandRain45 congratulations!!! Thats amazing news!!!

@G00ders1 I've found that ginger nuts biscuits and chewing gum have been a god send for the sickness. The strangest things keep making me nauseous like freshly baked bread in morrisons this morning!!!

G00ders1 · 29/04/2018 20:44

@emmalou9 I’ve been eating ginger biscuits today! 😊 I’ve had 4 so far! 🙈 I’ve just had a realisation that I would LOVE some pancakes with lemon and sugar!
The thing that I really can’t abide at the moment is raw chicken - was heaving picking it up in Tesco (in a box too! 😂😂) oh, and ham, the cheap square sliced stuff...the water on it makes me heave! So, so weird! 😂😂

emmalou9 · 29/04/2018 20:51

@G00ders1 they are literally the only sweet thing I can stomach at the moment. Normally I have such a sweet tooth - I think I'm going to start losing weight rather than gaining it. Glad you've found them as helpful as I have.
Its so strange what hormones do to your body especially when it comes to food. I wasn't expecting any of this so soon!!!

G00ders1 · 29/04/2018 21:03

@emmalou9 I know! My friend is 5 months pregnant and she had 1 day where she was heaving. ONE DAY!!! What’s that even about! I’ve felt sick for the last two weeks and I’m only 6 weeks pregnant!!!
Glad they’re helping you too - my mum told me to try arrowroot biscuits...I have no idea what they are! 😂😂 xx

mamfypuss · 30/04/2018 05:53

@FireAndRain45 congratulations amazing news. Wish you all the best.

@Rose2887 I'm pleased you've sorted it. Now it's time to try and enjoy it.

Told my dad yesterday and he went nuts (he doesn't really like my partner). But he started to calm down and think about it.

I feel like a weight has been lifted telling him and my mum (they don't live together)

Anyone else nervous to tell someone? Xx

MrsCrumbtious · 30/04/2018 06:07

Cautiously dipping my toe in here. I am 6+5 today after 3 years ttc and a day away from handing in our IVF consent forms! Had an early scan yesterday as my anxiety has gone through the roof and saw bubs with a strong heartbeat 😍.
My symptoms have come and gone but this weekend I’ve felt slightly sick on and off, lower back pain and some mild cramping/gas 😯
EDD-22/12/18

Pob13 · 30/04/2018 09:55

Any ideas if an upset tummy is a symptom?

Maggi85 · 30/04/2018 10:06

@MrsCrumbtious congratulations - that is amazing news so glad everything is going well so far. x
I'm due around the 19/12 and had a early scan due to previous mc, it relieves the anxiety but not for long - fingers crossed to you for a smooth pregnancy xx
