Newbie to the pregnancy board! Due end of December.. anyone else due around the same time?

Just looking for a board to join, have just started weaning myself off conception. I’m due 26th December. Feeling like it would be nice to join a group with people due similar time :)
Feeling a little anxious about things going wrong and dp doesn’t really understand x

@mamfypuss I do when I get up too suddenly- think the baby is stealing all my oxygen!
I had my booking appointment last week and all went well apart from my carbon monoxide breath test, which was unusually high (like that of a smoker). Has anyone else had that? I haven't smoked at all sincei found out I was pregnant and although hubby hasn't quite managed to give up yet, I won't let him anywhere near me with a cigarette and he has never smoked indoors. The midwife didn't seem overly worried (said she'd test me next time, but assume that will be at my next midwife appointment in July) but think she probably thought I was lying about smoking. Shall I try and go in for a retest? I've done everything else I can think of- bought a detector for home, which hasn't shown anything up. I'm just worried that the baby might be affected. Am I overreacting?

I definitely feel abit dizzy!! I think eating something sugary helps... when I have a day off I feel so much better then I go to work and I feel ill!!!

I think the anti-sickness tablets are working too well! I cant stop eating!!! I just ate a mcdonalds!!!

@Pob13 that’s good to hear! Do they do anti tiredness tablets?? 😂

@Rose2887 i dont think the baby liked all the food. Lots of cramps today.
If only there was an anti-tiredness. That would be awesome!

I decided to go to the hospital and ask for a monoxide retest. They did it and I was in normal levels this time. Phew!
@Pob13 I know, it seems so cruel that caffeine is restricted at the time when we need it most!

I'm so pleased I'm not the only one. I was in the shower the other day and had to get out and lay on the floor. 🙈

@N8Emma I'm so pleased it was all okay. Nothing worst than having something in your head.

I've got my scan in just over a week. Now the nerves are really kicking in. I'm so scared it's not going to be there or be ectopic. Everyone keeps telling me that I would be in a lot of pain if it was ectopic. But my pain threshold is so high I broke my back and was unaware until it fixed itself.

I can't wait to just see it and then have nothing to worry about and enjoy it x

@FoxgloveStar how did the scan go?

Scan was fine. Sonographer didn’t really listen to me about checking for additional birth defects (my son has a lump which is similar to a cleft palate defect but on his head). I’m seeing the consultant today so hoping to get some clarity on whether they’ll do any extra checks. But otherwise all fine. Tiny waving and kicking. Heard heartbeat. Got some pics. Fluid measurement low. Will have to wait for full outcome of screening. Due 13 December.

Had my appointment with the consultant today. I had a terrible labour last time and have an ongoing health condition so they want me through consultant led care again. They were very reassuring. Going to put the most senior midwife on my case when I arrive for labour, give me extra care, if I need assisted birth or op they’ll make sure the most senior doc does it. Give me fast track referral to physio afterwards if I need it. Extra scan at 36 weeks. Feeling a little more positive about the whole thing. Also the reinforcement from the docs that I really did “have the worst time of it” last time helps me cope!

Hi all. I’m feeling dizzy too, but I’ve always had dizzy spells!

Is anyone else’s symptoms not as bad as a few weeks ago? I’m about 10 weeks (scan in exactly two weeks). And I haven’t vomited since the weekend. Still a bit nauseous in the morning but it’s not terrible. And I’m not as exhausted - can manage to stay up past 9pm! It’s got me worried that something has gone wrong. (It’s my first pregnancy). Does anyone know if this is normal?

@Attie17 my symptoms are up and down and have been all the way through. I have a couple of really bad days of nausea and exhaustion and then I go back to just been a bit tired. Some days I can't eat anything except for hula hoops or crackers and then I have days where I can eat what I want. Every time I feel better, I'm relieved and then I start worrying that something is wrong. Today I thought I was ok so went into work to catch up on a few bits, but when I left work I felt like I was going to pass out. Now sitting in a cafe with an apple juice and a toastie, trying to get the strength to make it home!!

@Attie17 @N8Emma I'm having the exact same issue! I'm 9 weeks today, have had two days with only minor nausea and I'm like oh god what's happening, I'm actually managing to eat proper food and not just crisps, which feels so odd as I've felt so horrendously sick.

Had to remind myself that I'm still feeling bloated, tired, acid reflux, vile taste in my mouth, and just generally faint and shaky. Also I had this before, little breaks in my nausea thinking it was clearing a bit and then it came back and bit me in the arse

With the dizziness just go slow when you stand up but worth mentioning to midwife. Totally normal for sickness to wear off and just to be knackered.

I’ve felt a lot better the last couple of days but I’m hungry all the time..... my first spot appeared yesterday too... 😕
My scan seems so far away as I’m due the 27th December, mine isn’t until 20th of June, I’ll be 13 weeks! Xxx

@Rose2887 Im the same. I find that on my good days Im starving all the time.

I havent had my scan letter yet but Im hoping it will be in the week of the 18th. Im far too impatient for pregnancy!

My scan feels too far away.. wonder why mines so late 🤔

Got it about a week after booking app but I’m 11 weeks on Tuesday and my scan isn’t till the 20th of June!!! I’ll be 13 weeks??

Hope you're all doing well have seen that some of you are suffering with sickness. Have the tablets from the doctors worked? I dont feel like they had any effect on me at all. Have you had a form for exemption from prescriptions yet? My midwife gave me one at my booking appointment.

I have my scan booked in for 19th June, should be 12+4 then. I was hoping my appointment would be the 18th as it's DH's birthday. Has anyone started to show yet? I can't tell if its baby or if it's because im eating loads but i know most of my clothes don't fit already. I'm dreading going back to work on Monday as my work clothes definitely don't fit!!!

@Rose2887 mine is when I'm 13 weeks. I'm 12 today and it's next Monday. It must be a norwich thing.

@emmalou9 I have my exemption card. Took a little while to come. And I'm definitely showing. I look like a whale and it can't all be food. I've got to wear suits for work and I'm not excited about buying more of them x

I was beginning to feel like there was something wrong and i wasnt pregnant anymore. Well the little bugger decided to reassure me it is in there and i have been being sick for the past 2 hours. Such fun.

I’ll be 12 weeks Wednesday and also have my scan the same day. Weirdly after weeks of having no symptoms my boobs having really blown up, I have a slight bump and feeling sick every morning lol. Thought these weeks were supposed to be symptom free?!?!
