Newbie to the pregnancy board! Due end of December.. anyone else due around the same time?

Just looking for a board to join, have just started weaning myself off conception. I’m due 26th December. Feeling like it would be nice to join a group with people due similar time :)
Feeling a little anxious about things going wrong and dp doesn’t really understand x

Midwife has just been for my booking in appointment. Apparantly because of my diabetes i will likely be induced at 38wks. So i might be the first one on here to pop!

@emmalou09 I hope DP will be taking the kid to the football irrespective of the gender!

@foxglovestar after going to a few games and hearing the obscenities that come of his mouth I decided against it a long time ago!! Its like they become possessed.

@fireandrain how lovely. I went for an early scan just after 6 weeks and im so excited for my 12 week scan now.

@rose2887 do you know anyone who has used that predictor and it has been correct?

@emmalou9 it says girl for my daughter too!! Apparently if used correctly on this website it’s 99% effective! God knows... xx

@Rose2887 i just tried it on me and it was right. I am in fact a girl! If i dont get a boy now im blaming you!

Thanks it was very exciting! I did that gender prediction thing and it said girl, I'll be so shocked if it isn't a girl to be honest. I know it's supposed to come from the man's side but I have two sisters, and 12 out of 13 cousins on my mum's side are girls. Plus we had sex 4-5 days before ovulation and apparently that means a girl is more likely because girl sperm are slower!

Also yes to the not fitting in clothes thing. I'm sure it's all bloat not bump but my high waisted jeans feel so uncomfortable I've stopped wearing them, it makes the nausea worse too to have anything on my tummy. Ordered some maternity jeans yesterday can't wait to wear them and feel mega comfy

@FireAndRain45 my mums side it’s very female orientated and on my dps if we go by him as apparently it’s based on the man, he is a twin, has a twin sister and then his dad went onto have a girl, so I think my odds are girl but on the other hand my dp has a son from a previous relationship so I’m not 100% sure..... xx

@Rose2887 thats great news. I cany wait to find out when mine is. I hope its around that date as its DH birthday on 18th so think it would be a great bday present.

@emmalou i think im more worried about holding in wee! I seem to have a really rubbish bladder in general.

Anyone else feeling piper tired. I'm working 56 hr week this week with an 45 min commute each way. It gets to 3pm and I'm falling asleep at the desk. I go to bed at like 8pm! Anyone know any tricks of getting more energy?? Xx

Also, anyone done more tests. I'm completely paranoid and scared that it's going to come to the scan and I'm not actually pregnant. I've not bleed at all and had like 7 tests all say pregnant.
But I've just got it in my head that it's not going to be true and I'm just being a drama queen who's eaten to much and got too fat 😂😂😂. Anyone else feel like it's not real?

@mamfypuss I feel abit like that yes!!! I think because we can’t feel the movements etc it doesn’t feel real... but then when I get waves of nausea and my boobs look like Pamela Anderson’s and my skinny jeans are skin tight like a wet suit I know somethings definitely not right 😂
I think the tiredness will go away at the end of the first trimester and you’ll have more energy... maybe snack on sugary things?

I’m excited I’ve got a date.... just scared too but I’m sure it will all be fine...

You should have yours a lot sooner than me shouldn’t you? Your due earlier now aren’t you? Xxx

@Rose2887 It's so weird isn't it. Like I know I'm pregnant as I've not had a period in months, I'm so sick, super tired and bloated... but it still doesn't feel real. We've told quite a few people as well... we got super excited and I think that's just added pressure.

It is super scary isn't it, it's the unknowing that makes it so terrified.
I'm 10+5 according to the Doctors. But I was so irregularly that really we have just guessed. I know the date i conceived so we've gone by that. But That's another reason why I think it's not real. Because I don't know when it's coming and what to expect yet.

I hope it does go, only 5 more months of this job but I need to get through it and stay healthy.

I have one at home. I might do it tonight just to satisfy my head, even though I know it's all in my head 🤦🏼‍♀️ xx

Just back from my scan. All ok in there but they did put me back a week, which I expected. So I have a whole 4 weeks to go before the magic 12wks. Lots of people are telling me that they felt instantly better as soon as they hit 12wks. Im really hoping that is the case for me. I wish I could just go into hibernation for the next 4wks. And Im still not letting myself get excited.

Can you leave for maternity 11 weeks beforehand? I haven’t told work but not sure on policy with maternity pay as don’t think I’ll go back to that work place...

@Pob13 aah how do you feel after that?? How did little baby look?

When I went to midwife I was dated 1 day behind so 27/12/18 but because they are going by my withdrawal bleed I could be due earlier or maybe later... scan will tell me more i guess!

Today I don’t feel too bad but they were right when they said 9 weeks is peak... 🤢

Anyone been watching pregnancy videos on YouTube? It’s been quite comforting!

@Rose2887 I'm hoping soo. Yeah legally you can leave 11 weeks before. so I can leave end of September... but I think I'm going to go end of October. Apparently the last month is the worst so I kind of don't want to be working these hours. However part of me is telling me there till beginning of Dec for the money as I'm the main earner. We have worked out that if we cancel all our luxuries we can have a grand a month disposable income, so Nov is looking promising to be at home.

I haven't dared watching videos, it reminds me that it's got to come out 😱😱 😂
