Newbie to the pregnancy board! Due end of December.. anyone else due around the same time?

Just looking for a board to join, have just started weaning myself off conception. I’m due 26th December. Feeling like it would be nice to join a group with people due similar time :)
Feeling a little anxious about things going wrong and dp doesn’t really understand x

Yeah really well. Lovely midwife. Did some bloods, loads of paperwork. I feel a bit better about it all now. Seems silly but now I know what's going on I feel much happier x

@mamfypuss aah good!!! did she ask you about birth plan? I’ve said Norwich so had to take my bloods to harleston myself 😂😂 have they given you a due date? Xx

@FoxgloveStar thank you! I had expected to pee when I got there - was surprised to be asked to take the urine sample with me from home. Very confused about what to put it in!

@Rose2887 No she didn't. She said we will talk about that at a later stage. I said norwich though and also had to take my bloods to harleston.
I've got to wait 2 weeks for my scan.
We believe the 16th December. So I'm 9 weeks. But I had seriously irregular periods and never tracked them, so I have no idea really. We're going to wait for the scan. X

What i thought was a bit of hayfever has turned into a full blown cold. My throat is like razors. Im guessing my usual hardcore medicine isnt safe so will be hitting the pharmacy to see what, if anything, i can take. Feeling thoroughly miserable.

Anyone got any good tips on foods to help morning sickness or that don't make it any worse? This baby is going to be super healthy on my current diet of crisps, biscuits, bread, bananas, and chewing gum.

Off the list is: dried fruit, chocolate, most sweet things, ham, oats in any form, ginger tea, wraps, milk, all food that isn't beige.

I had my 12 week scan except Tiny was only 10 weeks so they couldn’t do any of the tests. However we saw it and it was flapping its little hands and legs and heart going like the clappers.

Got my booking in appointment tomorrow. I dont think my house has ever been so clean!

@fireandrain45 no idea what helps! How I feel changes so often so I can't get the hang of it! Early last week I was exhausted but not sick... So hubby very kindly filled up the fridge with nice, healthy ready meals for me to eat when he was at work on the evenings. The next day, morning sickness started and those tasty ready meals do not appeal at all. One day all I could eat was ready salted hula hoops& those artichokes you get in a plastic pot. The next day, I survived a school trip to Legoland by eating snacks constantly which seemed to stop some of the nausea. I'm drinking far too much Coca-Cola and eating jelly sweets too! I have found that those wrist bands you can wear for travel sickness have helped a lot. Can also sometimes eat those eat natural cereal bars which give me a bit of energy and feel like they at least have some nutrition. Having a berroca every morning so know done vitamins are being consumed. I'm trying to be grateful that at least it means my hormones are doing what they are meant to so it must be a good sign, but just wish I didn't feel so exhausted and useless all the time.

I have a scan tomorrow but I don't know what's going to happen in terms of seeing the baby, it's really to check my appendix and ovary due to ongoing pain from before I got pregnant. But the woman on the phone seemed to think they'd check the baby too? To make sure it was in the right position etc.
It's being done in the early pregnancy unit but not by their team, they're closed in the afternoons so it's the general ultrasound department using their equipment.

Already shitting myself about there being any issues, would be a lot easier if I knew 100% what was going to happen. I'm not sure if the regular sonographer person can do that or if it has to be a special baby one?! And assuming there won't be any doctors around if there is an issue.

I agree on what everyone else has said about eating, I seem to need to eat all the time! Last night my dp cooked chicken and literally couldn’t even look at it, I just have completely gone off chicken and the thought of it... but fancy fizzy constantly and fruity things!!!
Bought my maternity jeans too, size 8 from top shop, they are so comfy!!! Was sick of having the top button and then the zip undone!!

Maybe tmi has anyone felt sore down below?? The other day I couldn’t even wipe when I went for a wee as it felt sore! Not sure why!!!

Anyway can’t wait to see the scan pics coming up over the next few weeks xxxx

Yes another scan in 10 days. Not sure how I’m going to last that long without telling people. I’m really big already. It’s my DS’s 2nd birthday just after new scan date so it would have been a good opportunity to tell people. But I don’t think we’ll have the screening results back by then.

I have a bit of a cold so I’m totally knocked out. Diet Coke and salt getting me through.

Could I join this please? I think I'm due around 3rd Jan and I too am thinking of going for an early scan as I'm finding it impossible not to panic :/

Anyone else struggling with clothes not fitting already??
I have to wear business clothes for work (I don't really understand why as im a teacher - I dont work in an office) and hardly anything fits me already.
With thanks to hormones, I also keep having mini break downs about it!!! Just what I want at 6am!
