Just looking for a board to join, have just started weaning myself off conception. I’m due 26th December. Feeling like it would be nice to join a group with people due similar time :)
Feeling a little anxious about things going wrong and dp doesn’t really understand x

Hey everyone,
Sorry to hear about the emotional breakdowns that some of you are having. I'm actually feeling less moody now I'm pregnant than I was before! Bloody knackered though. Been awake since 4:30 am the last two days and work is so full on and I haven't told anyone yet. And today we've had one case of shingles announced and another child had to be restrained. Eek!

N8Emma · 02/05/2018 21:16

I know what you mean about the bath thing. The first time I had one I ended up putting so much cold water in that it was really chilly! I've now realised that as long as it doesn't feel too hot, it will be ok.
Oh by the way, I got my first appointment booking letter yesterday- 24th May! Exciting!

Maggi85 · 02/05/2018 21:24

Had my first mw appointment today just height, weight and bp and booked me in for my booking appointment next Friday xx

lozapink · 02/05/2018 21:38

N8Emma it sounds like you work in a similar place to me.

I also got my mw booking appointment on 21st May.

It doesn't seem that long ago since my last one (Jan) as had a mc in Feb. It's all happened very quickly and we're still in some shock. Just hoping this little bean is a 'good un' and clings on

Pob13 · 02/05/2018 22:13

@Maggi85 did you get to ask any questions or was it a pretty quick appointment? Did your other half go?

mamfypuss · 03/05/2018 08:18

@Maggi85 thank you. I thought 10 weeks was silly. Although if it gets me a midwife appointment quicker then I don't mind 😂

Maggi85 · 03/05/2018 10:11

@Pob13 yeah it was really quick just to get me added to the system - no OH didn’t go there’s no need unless they have some burning questions xx

FireAndRain45 · 03/05/2018 17:16

Oh god I was just speaking to a woman on the phone who told me she made a tuna, cheese and cucumber salad for tea last night and I nearly had to hang up. It seems the food aversions are starting 🤢

FireAndRain45 · 03/05/2018 17:56

Also can anyone advise me on bras, none of mine fit already, they've gone up an entire size and it's not even been two weeks. Crop tops feel suffocating, underwires seem like torture devices.

Any good recommendations for soft, supportive, cheapish bras?

N8Emma · 03/05/2018 19:08

@FireAndRain45
I'm using a bralet from M&S that I had already... It's great to sleep in (I don't normally sleep in a bra, but find my boobs really painful when unsupported now!) and wear it to mooch around the house. It cost just under a tenner I think. It's not got enough support for me to wear to work though, so I'd appreciate knowing about any good ones for proper wear too!

Rose2887 · 03/05/2018 20:12

@FireAndRain45 yes I agree with @N8Emma the m&s ones are great! I’m still in my usual but have only gone up a cup size so can live with it for now but I will grab some when I need them... my nipples look different already!!! Anyone else’s??
Xx

N8Emma · 03/05/2018 21:51

I haven't noticed any nipple changes yet.
I think I may have started the mood swings though. Have just had a blazing row with the hubby on the phone (he's still at work- a chef) and am so furious with him.
I'm so exhausted as haven't slept past 4:30 all week and work is full on and I just needed some TLC but got impatience and frustration and him moaning about how he's tired too. Just wish he'd stop being so self-absorbed. Grrrrr.

Pob13 · 04/05/2018 10:16

Just been to the GP about the diarrhoea, she thinks it is just hormones but i have to provide a sample just incase. A sample in a teeny tiny jar! How?!

Mami2boys · 04/05/2018 15:56

A bit strange but any one else feeling very cold, I’m 7 weeks and I’m wearing my coat inside , I though that pregnancy usually raises your temperature Shock x

FireAndRain45 · 04/05/2018 18:01

@Mami2boys yep I'm the same, especially was at the start got very shivery and felt cold to my bones! Doesn't help that I'm in the north and it's been about 8 degrees until today 🙄

helbel42 · 04/05/2018 20:40

@Pob13 erm, good luck with that one! x

helbel42 · 04/05/2018 20:42

@Mami2boys me too, I've been freezing, was taking 2 hot water bottles to bed. In Cyprus at the min so much better but it took me sooo long to get in the pool, the cool water was almost painful, skin feels very sensitive to temperature x

Pob13 · 04/05/2018 20:50

@helbel42 thanks. It was an experience!

I seem to be freezing during the day but sweating buckets in the night.

Cramps again today.

How is everyone else doing?

G00ders1 · 05/05/2018 09:37

Hi everyone, mental week at work again. I think my catching up and posting is going to be mainly weekends 🙄
Toast has been a lifesaver for me this week, along with milk. That’s basically all I can eat most of the time, though occasionally I am allowed to eat a sandwich (untoasted bread usually makes me feel sick - what’s that about?) and I had a day of crunchy nut cornflakes which was absolute bliss!

Matalan have 3 bralets for about £10, I had mine before I was pregnant, they were fab then, they’re AMAZING now!

Jealous you’re in Cyprus @helbel42, I’m not on holiday till August ☀️☀️☀️

Just over a week until my first midwife appointment! 😬

Hope everyone is ok xx

Rose2887 · 05/05/2018 17:46

Hey everyone,
Been really busy too with work etc! I’ve been feeling fine... a little hungover at times, it isn’t a hangover though... this weather makes me fancy a glass of wine... damn!!!

I’m so tired at night and wake up shattered that’s my worst symptom.

Had a look at our home we reserved today, it’s coming along nicely, will be ready in 6 months which is bad timing lol xxxx

lozapink · 05/05/2018 18:19

@Rose2887 I'm feeling the same as you. I said to my husband today it's like I've got a permanent hangover and feeling sick most the time.

Hoping some nice tea will help with the nausea

FireAndRain45 · 06/05/2018 08:11

Urgh the night sweats! Anyone else getting these? I had them sometimes before getting pregnant they were hormonal so I'm guessing it's the same sort of thing.

I also still don't feel very pregnant. I'm having symptoms and stuff but just doesn't feel real and feel like it's likely that something is going to go wrong

Pob13 · 06/05/2018 08:25

@FireAndRain45 im getting so hot it wakes me up. Im drenched in the morning.

Rose2887 · 06/05/2018 13:22

Yes me too for being hot... and can’t stay awake at night...
It Still doesn’t feel real for me but I’m struggling to do things, everything seems an effort!!!!

My stomach just makes me look bloated all the time... awkward when you’ve not yet told anyone but I was only a size 6 to 8 so guess that’s why I’m showing plus it’s my second one!

Anyone doing much today? Weather is lush!!!! Xx

OP posts:
FireAndRain45 · 06/05/2018 15:26

It's gorgeous out isn't it! Yep I'm with you with everything feeling like an effort. Oh yeah I'm so gross and sweaty in the mornings!

I'm having a bit of a negative day tbh, VERY emotional. I had a lot of cramping early on, it stopped for the last week and now it's back again, it's making me not want to do anything/go anywhere and is worrying me that it might be sinister :( even though I know rationally that symptoms can come and go it's just making me feel really weird!
