Following on from the Itchy & bitchy 2nd trimester thread!

I'm now 25 + 6 weeks, so very nearly 6 months gone! 3 months remaining...

Morning sickness is still very present and I've been reminded of this 4-8 times a day all week.

On the plus side- movements are now very regular and I love them! Much lower down than I remember DC1 being- lots of bladder kicks which are /not/ fun.

Hows everyone else doing with the 3rd trimester?

@LMX0
@CremeDeSudo

How are you two getting along?? Grin

Urgh i had my HV antenatal on Friday. Don't like ours here so am glad my MW do post natal checks til 6 weeks.

lmx0 · 05/06/2018 00:10

@mustbemad17 aww no way im a little nervous as i know HV have a reputation but that's good your MD does check until 6 weeks

robotcartrainhat · 05/06/2018 11:51

gottabestrong
ive bought some now and it does seem to be helping a bit thanks!!

Low energy this week... and need to tidy house for home birth assessment... cant face trying to get hoover upstairs. Just want to cry in bed. Husband on long days so have to deal with toddler all day too.
Not in best mood.

Havent had letter from health visitor yet? Do they always visit before birth in every area? This is my second baby so might they not visit before birth this time? Am 37 weeks

mustbemad17 · 05/06/2018 13:42

robot mine appeared at 39 weeks for my antenatal! I didn't have an antenatal with the first two, here at leasg it is a relatively new thing. Bloody pointless if you have already had a baby tbh; felt so condascending!!

LostMyBaubles · 05/06/2018 15:04

Never had them visit before ive had baby (on no.4 now)

I will prob see them once and then at weigh in clinics after rather than at home

lmx0 · 05/06/2018 17:13

Rang and made the appointment with HV thankfully ive to go to her and not her coming to me sounded nice enough but we shall see

SK166 · 06/06/2018 21:50

Evening all!

Been out of the loop for a couple of days...how's everyone doing? Still enjoying all the sweating/cramps/BH/mood swings/vomming/aches and insomnia? I know I am!!

@GottaBeStrong - your OH also sounds like an absolute rock. I suppose we should spend less time fretting and more time being hugely grateful to have them! Especially after reading what some women seem to put up with on the AIBU boards...! So sorry to hear about your pup though. How is she now?

@mustbemad - any update? Have you given baby a stern talking to and shown them where the exit is? Surely it's your turn now!

@wreckit - belated but HUGE congrats on the arrival of Max! I hope you're feeling loved up, healing well and enjoying not being pregnant any more!

Had a bit of a drama on Monday with reduced movements. This is my first baby and since bang on 16 weeks she's been a real wriggler, barely stopping all day/night, then I realised as I was on the train into work on Monday that I hadn't really felt her since late the night before and even a few sharp shoves (which are usually met with a solid thump in return from her!) didn't illicit a response, so obviously I had a meltdown, not least because by this point the train I was on had broken down and then spent a further 40 minutes crawling into a station that is usually a 7 minute journey away. Anyhoo, ended up at St Thomas's in a bit of a state but all turned out well and after a 30min trace they were happy to report that I had a 'very reactive' baby and no need for worry. Hugely relieved but also slightly embarrassed about just how easily I lost my mind over something that all rational thought should have told me was going to be fine Blush

GottaBeStrong · 06/06/2018 22:24

@mustbemad17 Oh my gosh if someone told me I was being a wuss right now I think I'd deck them!!!

I am currently in the bath as DP has a day off. I'm steaming my ribs haha.

You did make me laugh about the squatter.

GottaBeStrong · 06/06/2018 22:27

@lmx0 not really no - in answer to house help question. It's DP's mess stuff so he really does need to sort it out. The bikes are being moved out now (thank God!). There has been discussion about clearing out the shed and sorting out making sure it's waterproof as we can store some things in there which really do not need to be in the house. I might rope my dad into this on Sunday.

GottaBeStrong · 06/06/2018 22:28

@robotcartrainhat that's good news!

GottaBeStrong · 06/06/2018 22:37

@SK166 @lmx0

My little old lady is doing so much better thanks for asking. She is peeing well now and no blood. She even gave me some grief earlier as she was hungry and I was not a. Moving fast enough or b. Paying her any attention hahaha. Once she's fed she goes to sleep - A bit like a baby really.

Reduced movements are so horrid. I'm glad all is okay. It so stressful and scary!

I had my last midwife appointment yesterday. Got to hear heartbeat which was reassuring as her movements seem quite unpredictable now that she is oblique and no longer transverse and I have repeatedly wondered if I should be calling in.

Gotta cross fingers I make it through til Tuesday as otherwise it's an emergency c section due to cord prolapse risk. No sign of her appearing yet.

lmx0 · 06/06/2018 23:25

@SK166 how scary for you but im glad all turned out fine its always best to be on the safe side and its totally understanding about losing your cool
@GottaBeStrong at least its a step closer and thats what dads are for!! Im glad your doggie is doing better!! And ive always said dogs are like babies/children in a way

NooNooHead · 06/06/2018 23:45

Wish me luck ladies... am off to my planned c-section at 7am tomorrow! I’m going to be a mummy of two by midday hopefully! DD will be a big sister in time than we can say ‘big sister’!Grin

sk166 really glad you are ok and you got checked out! Always a very wise idea to get checked ASAP when you are worried about movements 👍🏽

mustbemad17 · 06/06/2018 23:48

Hello ladies 🙂 glad everyone is okay! Reduced movements are scary as & usually baby makes a bloody liar of you as soon as that trace monitor goes!! I'm on number 3 & have still rung the MW in panic over it 🙈

Sadly still no baby! Sweep on Friday but hoping still hoping. My foof is exceptionally swollen - apparently it even looks massive from the front so hoping that means the head is weeell & truly where it needs to be.

lmx0 · 07/06/2018 08:17

@NooNooHead good luck!!! Hope all goes well
@mustbemad17 come on baby get a move on!!! Hopefully the sweep is successful (or baby is here before then)

GottaBeStrong · 07/06/2018 12:03

@NooNooHead good luck. Thinking of you.

mustbemad17 · 07/06/2018 13:16

Good luck NooNooHead everything crossed for newborn squishes on the double!!!

NooNooHead · 07/06/2018 13:53

Thank you everyone! I’m delighted to say that my beautiful boy was born today at 9am weighing a lovely light 6lb 9oz! He is perfect and very sleepy!

My operation was actually very stressful for me and my movement disorder was kicking in big time but thbut actual getting Charlie out was very straightforward not painful at all!

I’m so relieved that all is good and I feel amazing that I have another beautiful baby after 3 years of awful health problems and the loss of my brother. 😢😫😱

There is light and sunshine after the rain and it makes everything so worthwhile.🤩✨💕💖👶🏻🍼
