@thisisouryrfx18 I've not been keeping up with things since last week. Had a slight pink/brown bleed last week and it totally panicked me. Took myself off all the boards for a little while to calm down etc. Docs weren't overly concerned over phone and asked me to take a pregnancy test this week to make sure I was actually pregnant 🤔 trust me, the nausea is telling me I'm pregnant!

thisisouryrfx18 · 23/04/2018 19:47

@R7589 thats a shame r u alrite? Ive heard its common in early pregnancy but it mustve been scarey I wouldve been worried too. I hope uve taken some time off work to chill x

R7589 · 23/04/2018 20:24

@thisisouryrfx18 yeah I'm fine now had absolutely nothing since. Pregnancy symptoms are hitting me hard now though!

I didn't stay off work but my boss has been great so I didn't feel too bad at work - got my mind off it anyway. Fingers crossed it's all ok

thisisouryrfx18 · 23/04/2018 20:33

@R7589 if its been a one off and ur doc says it k i think ul b fine not to play it down but i know a girl that had light bleeding throughout her pregnancy she kept going to a&e dnt blame her but her babies about 6months old now and doing great!☺

Cakelaur · 23/04/2018 20:41

How far are you now @R7589 ?
I had pink spotting yesterday and today and went for an emergency scan and saw a tiny flicker of a heartbeat!! I'm 5+6.

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 23/04/2018 22:20

Hey 👋 this is not a zombie board 🙃 I imagine it will liven up as we get more wonderful bfps from the ttcers but for now we're on the December ante natal so chatting on there mostly. Super looking forward to you coming to join us on here though and I'm constantly stalking you all still!!

@R7589 sorry to hear you've had some trouble, but pleased that the sickness actually has a handy point to prove in times of nervousness! How far along are you at the moment?

I was saying to @Cakelaur earlier today that I started crying with relief at her good news today! It's mad how attached I've become to you all ♥️

OP posts:
R7589 · 24/04/2018 07:06

@Cakelaur it happened last week when I was 5+3,I'm 6+3 now and I've had absolutely no bleeds since then despite the constant checking.
My dr couldn't even be bothered to see me - says there is no point and basically shrugged me off. Think she thought I had tested to early.
I heard about your news - that's brilliant - so pleased for you ❤️

Cakelaur · 24/04/2018 07:48

@R7589 I know how scary it is babe. It's a great sign that you're feeling sick. Is there a walk in Epu near you that you could go to? Or you could book a private scan, just to reassure. My dr was quite good. I couldn't get hold of my Epu so my dr said to head straight to the walk in one down the road. It was SUCH a relief! I was 100% sure id lost the baby. And yet there was a tiny flicker on the screen. I'm still mega nervous that I could lose it still. But If we get to 8 weeks and there's a heart beat then there's only a 2% chance of losing after this. The Epu lady said that around 5+3 (which is what she dated me at even though she's left my due date the same) the placenta starts to form and attach and baby snuggles in nice and deep. So it could be that, or sex or just overdoing it. But she said there's LOADS of reasons for it to happen. Your little bean is obviously a fighter.
@GoldilocksTheGraceless how are you doing babe? Any symptoms and stuff yet? I genuinely feel great. A little tired, and a bit crampy, but no real sickness yet.

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 24/04/2018 08:20

@Cakelaur well I'm currently sat on the bus into work, deep breathing and sipping water as my first major wave of nausea hits. I'm 5+2 today so it's still a bit early to be having sickness so I hope this early onset isn't a sign that I'll have awful symptoms by next week!
My exhaustion has petered out a bit, I can now stay awake beyond 8:30pm which is a relief!
I tested again yesterday on a cheapo and immediately got a line that was at least as dark as the control so that was a huge relief.
Still haven't managed to speak to a doctor yet so that's the focus for this week!

Thats lovely @Cakelaur 😆 some drs are so uncareing just happy to do the bare minimum @R7589 hope u feel better @Goldilocks eat sumthing minty or ginger always helps me when i feel sick

TwittleBee · 24/04/2018 10:18

Popping in to see how you all are! Flowers

Really hope that you get some relief soon R7589 and FX that it is all fine and no more bleeds. Will you have an early scan? I know some places will give you one if you explain to your MW that you are worried/anxious. My colleague's wife got an early scan as she said she was getting really stressed about it.

GoldilocksTheGraceless oh no! Morning sickness did rear its head really early for me and never bloomin left with DS! FX that it will pass. I actually never found mint or ginger to help (strange I know!!) but hot lemon water did help ease things a bit.

FX that we will be on here good and proper soon thisisouryrfx18

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 24/04/2018 10:35

Thanks everyone for your sympathy and support! DP has said he's going to go buy a flask today and get ginger tea for me to take in the mornings 😍 such a sweetie.

So looking forward to having you fully with us soon @TwittleBee and @thisisouryrfx18 🤞

R7589 · 24/04/2018 10:48

@Cakelaur there isn't a walk in EPU near me, I asked the Dr and she said it's only referral and that she wouldn't refer me unless it got worse. I'm hoping your right. Like I said nothing since and a major increase in the nausea and cramping, which again I was told was completely normal.
I'm incredibly pleased for you though ❤️ must be such a relief.

@TwittleBee I have my midwife appointment on the 11th of May, so I might see how my nerves cope before then in regards to an early scan. I'm just taking each week as it comes.

Never ever thought the smell of my fav person would make me feel sick either 😕

Cakelaur · 24/04/2018 11:15

Snap @GoldilocksTheGraceless nausea hit me too!! First time. Nearly had to stop the car. I pulled over did some deep breathing. Opened the window and now I'm ok. Although the only thing I could think to eat was McDonald's. And for me this is odd!!! I hate the stuff haven't eaten it in probably a couple of years!! But hey it's food. Hope you're ok babe.

thisisouryrfx18 · 24/04/2018 16:49

TwittleBee · 27/04/2018 10:06

@thisisouryrfx18 already started a new thread following that one, hope you don't mind. It is because we reached 1000 posts so needed #2 thread. I tagged you in it already x

thisisouryrfx18 · 27/04/2018 10:25

No thats great! Saves me doing it lol i didnt realise they only let u get to 1000😂

TwittleBee · 27/04/2018 10:37

thisisouryrfx18 I actually have never been on a thread that has reached 1000 before so I didn't know either, just figured that is what must have caused it and why there are multiple carry on threads on MN!

Hope you pregnant women are doing good this grey and miserable morning (assuming its crappy weather for all?)

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 27/04/2018 11:47

Hey team :) all good over here, getting nervous in general as coming up on 6 weeks which is when I've heard people saying they sadly miscarried so I'm working myself up a bit about that 😕 every day I look at the probability of MC on this site which is quite obsessive!! datayze.com/miscarriage-chart.php

OP posts:
R7589 · 27/04/2018 12:55

@GoldilocksTheGraceless I didn't even know that existed! I've just had a look and with my weight to height and age and being 7 weeks tomorrow I'm at 12%. Still makes you very paranoid eh?
I've been floored with nausea yesterday and today. Took day off work yesterday as I was drained and slept till half 12 - that's not like me.
You had any other big symptoms yet?

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 27/04/2018 14:39

@R7589 right now I feel like I have the worst damn hangover of my life. Queasy all day, shattered, stinging eyes, dizzy.
This might sound weird but I don't really know what a big symptom would look like!
Bazoombas feel like they've been punched 😶
Oh and I take the bus everywhere and I am telling you the smell of someone's perfume or cigarette smoke or grossly BO makes me want to sell my possessions to buy my own car and just have a zero-smell zone!!!

By the way, if you follow that link, scroll to the bottom of the actual page (rather than the table) and it says 'reassure me' - try it!

OP posts:
thisisouryrfx18 · 27/04/2018 20:48

Being pregnant sounds like alot of work!

R7589 · 27/04/2018 21:01

@GoldilocksTheGraceless It's the feeling queasy that gets me. It's literally all the time! Those are big symptoms though, especially the boobs. Best thing I've bought is non wired bras from Asda £6. Having bigger boobs anyway these are giving great support! Try them out.
I'm yet to get nausea from smells - but that's hellish! Sure it will stop soon for you.

I done that after you said - I like that. I'm an anxious person as it is so kinda helped me. Thank you ❤️

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 27/04/2018 21:11

@thisisouryrfx18 I mean, I'm looking forward to 'the glow' 😂 of course not complaining but it does take it out of you! I keep trying to remind myself that it hasn't just been a normal week and I'm pathetic, I'm trying to grow a human. Makes me feel a bit more reasonable!!

@R7589 glad you like the reassure me thing. I'm also v anxious in general so I thought that was a sweet touch.
Re the bra situation, I am 38E already (though captain 4 boob is already rearing her head!) so I'm suspicious about anything without wires as I don't trust booby prisons that don't come with robust scaffolding! When they're that good of a price though I guess it's worth trying out?
