Hello all! Sorry for radio silence, work has been a bit hectic.
@hayleyfx this is amazing news, congrats!! So happy for you.
@Cakelaur that's such lovely news about your sister, so cool to be able to share this experience with each other.

I've been a bit up & down, been so busy and really aware than 19/20 hr days are not what my body and bubs need, but work is work and I'm committed to a fully loaded summer so there's not much I can do. Have also had some light cramping, and actually it's more like aching than painful cramps, like a consistent sore ache in my lower tummy, so similar to the feeling I get before period. So I'm really nervous it's all going to happen again, I shouldn't be feeling that should I?
Scan in a week (at 6+4) but can't help but think it'll all be over by then 😢

Olivecake · 29/05/2018 14:19

@BabynameEdie I was wondering how you were getting on and how your symptoms were going, as we were very similar last week. I’m now 5+3 And I’m also having cramps and aches - nothing severe or super painful but that in combination with the other lack of symptoms has me feeling a bit down too. I did have some nausea yesterday and today but I think I was just hungry and anxious...
I know it’s easier said than done but I guess just try not to worry about what could go wrong and wait til the scan - hopefully next week will roll around quickly and you’ll Have good news x

I’m really undecided on whether to have an early scan - last time I was in hospital with Hyperemesis so had two early scans and although the first was fine, the second was where my MMC was discovered so I’m not sure how reassuring I would find it. But then again I guess it’s better to know sooner rather than later...

For you girls who’ve had early scans, has it helped with reassurance and nerves?
Honestly think pregnancy after a loss is one of the most nerve wracking times!!

hayleyfx · 29/05/2018 14:27

@BabynameEdie thank you hun! 🤞

I’m feeling really nervous, every cramp I get I go into panic mode. I get anxious just going to the bathroom now! 🤦‍♀️ Got a scan in 3 weeks time, I just want it to hurry up. I’m scared, want this bean to stick so much 🤞

BabynameEdie · 29/05/2018 15:53

@Olivecake thank you for responding. The kindness on here makes me well up (could also be hormones I guess but pretty sure it's also because of all your lovely women being so supportive!)
I really really relate to how you're feeling. Nothing painful just noticeable aches and low cramps but not severe or sudden. I'm now 5+5 and have a week to wait until scan. I'm so terrified I'll go in and they'll say it's all happening again. But then there's nothing we can do about it, and I think I would rather know sooner than later. Maybe these symptoms we're having are totally normal - I too felt queasy yesterday but then ate and it went away! I just keep saying to myself that it's only going to work when it's the right baby on its way. But it doesn't make it much easier. Thinking of you ❤️ x

BabynameEdie · 29/05/2018 15:54

@hayleyfx I know the feeling, it's so hard not to be anxious all the time. I think I'm going to try some very gentle pregnancy yoga to try to still my mind a little. How far along will you be when you have your scan in 3 weeks? Fingers crossed it goes quickly and very uneventfully for you!

hayleyfx · 29/05/2018 16:03

@BabynameEdie it really is so hard already. I’m only 4+1 right now, I have a scan at 7 weeks to see if there’s a heartbeat etc. I’m so terrified for it! But I’m glad I’m getting one as I had a MMC in December and had no idea anything was wrong until I was 10 1/2, nearly 11 weeks, I’m just praying for good news this time 🤞

Cakelaur · 29/05/2018 22:31

Girls I'm spotting!!! 😭 11+2 had a big vom sesh earlier and was a little constipated. And when wiping there was pink!!!! I feel like I'm starting to cramp a little!!! 😭😭 so scared

peachesarenom · 29/05/2018 22:41

Cakelaur don't panic! Remember you said epu said you might get some around 12 week mark/missed period time?

peachesarenom · 29/05/2018 22:41

Also, I had dull crampy aches early on. All was fine.

hayleyfx · 29/05/2018 22:49

@Cakelaur try not to panic!! (Ridiculous advice I know) but from what I remember you’ve had spotting already in this pregnancy and everything was okay, plus with your most recent scan that went well! I’m sure everything will be fine and I have everything crossed that it is 🤞

BabynameEdie · 29/05/2018 23:13

@Cakelaur as others have said, you've had spotting before and maybe it's normal for your pregnancy this time? Your scan was perfect. There's nothing to make anyone suspect it won't be ok, I hope you can get some sleep and that it's gone by tomorrow. Would it be reassuring if you rang epu? Thinking of you and sending happy baby vibes xx

peachesarenom · 29/05/2018 23:15

That's a really good point hayleyfx I've had it too. Cakelaur epu told me that 25% of pregnant woman have bleeds for unknown reason and baby is ok. I had a single spot just yesterday.

Patienceofatoddler · 30/05/2018 07:31

Hope all is ok @Cakelaur - How's things this morning?

Have many people had to tell work yet?

I'm nearly 7 weeks and already feeling so ill Sad Find myself sitting at desk just thinking about not being sick and trying not to yawn...

I've more repeat bloods etc this week so my manager must think my GP take thyroid issues particularly seriously Hmm

Hope everyone has a good day.

Cakelaur · 30/05/2018 08:05

Thanks ladies. It seems to be gone this morning. I dunno if I just strained a bit too much with vomiting and then being constipated. God this is so glamourous!!! 🙈 my next scan is a week today. So I'm just hoping everything is ok until then. It was only a tiny bit on wiping. So 🤞🏻

OP posts:
hayleyfx · 30/05/2018 09:00

@Cakelaur I’m glad it’s gone and you’re feeling better. You’re right it was most likely all the straining! (Super glamorous 😉🤣) hope your next scan goes perfectly!

Cakelaur · 30/05/2018 09:43

The sickness is extra specially phenomenal this morning!! I think it's just to prove baby is all good in there!! 🙈

OP posts:
peachesarenom · 30/05/2018 10:28

I'm glad you're ok Cakelaur!!!

Primrose16 · 30/05/2018 10:52

Glad no more spotting @cakelaur. It could have been from the straining. I have a pulled muscle in my shoulder and everytime I’m sick- Wowsa the pain.
I’m sat at work, trying to work as I have so much to do. But I feel like I can cry, sooooooo sick and exhausted. Feeling so sorry for myself

kaytees · 30/05/2018 10:55

Glad you're ok @Cakelaur - the sickness this morn is definitely a message from baby that all is ok! I reckon the same thing happened with me when I spotted last week and went for an extra scan and all was fine, but it's impossible not to panic in that moment. Not long to go to your scan now! X

MagicalCreatures · 30/05/2018 14:06

Sorry you had that @Cakelaur
Why do these things keep testing us?
It’s as if something is getting a real kick out of scaring the living shit out of us.
I’m starting to feel anxious again.
Had a good scan last week but now I’m asking myself all those things like ‘did the babies heartbeat sound fast enough, I’m not sure it did’
And ‘I’m going to get to the 12 week Scan to find that it’s heart stopped beating a few days after I last heard it’
I’m driving myself mad and I still have another 2 weeks to go 😩

peachesarenom · 30/05/2018 14:32

That's how I feel MagicalCreatures . Also, I'm so physically uncomfy!

hayleyfx · 30/05/2018 14:50

@Cakelaur I think the sickness is bub reassuring you! 😉

Has anybody else been really crampy this pregnancy? In my last pregnancy I got cramps but not often. I’ve had cramps for the past week, not strong cramps at all but they’re still worrying me so much. I thought that feeling sick would reassure me too but nope - I’m worried that I’m not feeling “sick enough” 🤦‍♀️🤣 hurry up 7 week scan!!

Patienceofatoddler · 30/05/2018 14:57

@hayleyfx I've been really crampy and uncomfortable.

Feel so bloated to Sad

Can't remember feeling this rough in previous pregnancies it's actually took me by surprise Blush

I was so convinced I was coming on when we went away 2-3 weeks ago I took a giant pack of jumbo Tanpoms (got the stronger BFP when away) but have been crampy since.

peachesarenom · 30/05/2018 15:32

Yes hayleyfx I did. All was fine, stopped around 7/8 weeks.

hayleyfx · 30/05/2018 21:41

Thanks ladies, that’s reassuring. Every cramp, no matter how mild, I freak out. I’m just so scared!
