Gush of blood at 12 weeks? Terrified!

Hi everyone.

I'm 11+5 with my first child. About an hour and a half ago I stood up from the sofa and felt a 'gush' down there. Initially thinking I'd wet myself, I went to the bathroom only to discover bright red blood! Sad

Over the next few minutes it reduced to spotting, and now it SEEMS to have stopped. I'm not in any pain whatsoever and I'm still feeling nauseous and my boobs are still sore, but I'm terrified I'm losing the baby Sad

I tried calling the antenatal clinic at my local hospital and my midwife, but both lines were busy. I then called 111 and am still waiting for a call back. I'm terrified I'm having a miscarriage Sad

Any positive stories about bleeding in pregnancy? Thanks Flowers

Hope you’re getting on ok and the pain has subsided. Hopefully you’re at home resting and being looked after Flowers

Oh op I've just read the whole thread.

I had my fingers and toes crossed it was going to be good news.

I'm so so sorry! Thanks

CobaltRose · 04/09/2018 23:05

So it's been a while since I updated this thread. I received some lovely support and kind messages so thought I'd update you all!

I felt very numb after my miscarriage initially, but after a few days the grief really hit and I was very depressed for a while. I had some counselling which really helped and I am much better now. Also...

In June I found out I was pregnant again and I am now 13+3 with a healthy baby Grin Of course I'm still anxious, but the further along I get the more relaxed I become, and I'm allowing myself to picture actually bringing a baby home now! I had my dating scan on Thursday and it was fantastic seeing our baby wriggle away on the screen ❤

Hi all! Thought I'd pop in and update you all again.

I'm now 28 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby girl Grin Had a couple of scares a few weeks ago when I started spotting brown blood again and thought history was repeating itself, but thankfully all is well.

Had a scan at 27+5 on Thursday ❤ I've developed pretty bad SPD and I'm STILL getting morning sickness! All worth it, though Smile

Gosh! I just found this thread and have read from start to finish with a big lump in my throat.
We lost our dc2 then had our little miracle. It's the most scary/never wrecking pregnacy but worth every second.

I am delighted for you Op.
And I hope you up date us when your little girl gets here. Congratulation to you and your dp. Flowers

CobaltRose96 · 17/12/2018 18:35

@Stressed, thank you so much! This pregnancy has been full of anxiety and it's only really in the past couple of weeks that I've started to relax. Pregnancy after a loss can be joyful but it can also cause so much anxiety. But I can't wait to welcome our rainbow in March ❤ I'll definitely update you all!

Watermelonlover · 17/12/2018 19:19

What a wonderful update. Many congratulations. Xx

Flatwhite32 · 17/12/2018 20:27

Aww @CobaltRose96 that's lovely! My rainbow baby DD is nearly 5 months old. We found out at our 12 week scan in our first pregnancy that our baby had died. I'd had no signs at all. It does make pregnancy ridiculously anxiety provoking, but it'll all be worth it when your beautiful girl arrives. Congratulations!

Theconifers25 · 17/12/2018 21:04

@CobaltRose96

I don’t know you but I couldn’t be more pleased about something. ❤️ This thread has had me in tears, MMC are so cruel, something I’m currently anxious of. Absolute heartfelt congratulations on this new news. X
