Spotting during early pregnancy?

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and have been spotting brown discharge for a week now. After 2 days I went to a&e because of previous ectopic. I was given a scan and ectopic ruled out, but spotting has continued. It is very light and can only be seen when I wipe. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if it's quite normal. I'm terrified of another MC.

@natashaarr It's a weird feeling isn't it.. I have every belief that you will be absolutely fine. Was it a small clot, and what was colour of the blood. I've seen many instances on different boards where people have passed huge clots and been absolutely fine bit crappy that your boss didn't allow you to have the day off for your scan x

@DoraNora I had the same Hun at 5-7 weeks and I've even had some spotting at 9 weeks. At my last scan the nurse told me that a lot is embedding into your womb at this time which causes spotting, maybe some clots etc...I know it's so hard not to worry, but don't do what I've done and literally freak myself out because stress is the one thing that can really affect us and the little beans, I've learnt to relax a little bit now x

@natashaarr hope you're ok babe. My next scan is 8+3 on Friday 11th May. My 12 week scan has come through for 6th June. But I'll probably do a private scan around 10weeks just because 3 weeks is a long time to wait. I think it depends how the 8 week scan goes. If heart beat is perfect and size is on track etc, then I may be ok to wait. If anything is even slightly off I'll be booking a private scan.

Well I've had blood streaked cm again like a few weeks back worried sick been the most stressful few month ever x

@Lmj25 Sorry to hear that Hun. The reassuring bit is that you've had it before and had a scan and all was ok right? I too have had spotting this week. Completely natural to be a bit freaked but we just have to try to remember we've had it before and things were ok x

Sorry to hear you have too yes 2 scans heartbeat seen both times but can't stop crying daft as it sounds lol. Hope everything works out for us all I really do 🤞🏻 x

The worry never seems to stop does it. Don't worry ladies I'm sure we will be ok...It seems like getting to this 3 month milestone is taking forever!

I had this in my last pregnancy and everything was fine, i got when I went for a poo as well, sorry TMI, was majorly scary so know how u feel x

Sorry for tmi I've been having loose stools aswell the past week not everyday either but hadn't been going regular before hand worried that it's a sign I've lost baby. I know I sound crazy x

Loose stalls is usually just a regular sign of pregnancy right? Have you come across any info that loose stalls could be an indication of something bad? Xx

Hi all I wanted to post on this threat as I'm 6 weeks 2 days pregnant following IVF cycle #3 and have been having spotting since my BFP. Was mainly brown except yesterday and today I've woken up to bright red on the tissue! I rushed in for scans both days and both times they saw 2 heartbeats (its twins) and Dr couldn't find anything wrong but I'm terrified it is going to keep happening and/or turn into a miscarriage. Has this happened to anyone with good results? Thank you!

Omg @smllon amazing!!! TWO BABIES!! 😍 maybe they're playing games in there together! Fighting already and causing a little bleeding. I have everything crossed for you. I had a scan at 6 weeks after spotting and saw a heart beat, waiting until Friday for my next scan haven't had Any spotting the last week or so and have everything crossed that bub is nice and snug in there.

@Lmj25 is that just from the scan? Or was that abdominal? Maybe just generally being poked and stuff has caused spotting. As you said bub is all nice and snug in there. Nice strong heart beat.

Everything’s ok (I think!) sorry I haven’t replied I’ve been so busy with work. However it’s my last day for 10 days and I’m going to Cyprus Friday!!

@cakelaur we have a scan on the same day! I’ll be 10+6 though then I don’t have my 12 week scan until 12+6 as my boss made me change it :(

Fingers crossed we all have healthy babies at the end of the year! Which is looking good considering we’ve all had spotting and it’s been good news :)
