Spotting during early pregnancy?

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and have been spotting brown discharge for a week now. After 2 days I went to a&e because of previous ectopic. I was given a scan and ectopic ruled out, but spotting has continued. It is very light and can only be seen when I wipe. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if it's quite normal. I'm terrified of another MC.

I’ve just come across this thread and was wondering if someone could please advise me?!

Hubby and I have been trying for our first child for the last couple of months, I have a regular 32-35 day cycle but this month instead of starting my period I got dark brown discharge on and off from the day my period was due and for the next 6 days. It’s never happened before as I bleed heavily the first 3 days with bright red blood and the occasional brown towards the beginning and ending of my period. However this month has been really strange, could this be implantation bleeding? Or is it too late for that now? I took a cheap hpt which came out negative, was it too early to test? Or was that just my period which has changed colour? So so so confused.. can anyone else relate?

Also, I didn’t feel any period symptoms this month as I usually get bad cramps but this month I feel pregnant but have never been pregnant to know how it feels if you know what I’m saying? :(

@faye93, when did you take the test? How many days late were you? It shouldn’t matter how much you pay for a test, they could be wrong/right no matter what brand. Maybe go to the doctors and explain your situation? X

@natashaarr i was dur my period this month on 18th but I actually started on 19th with the brown discharge, i just thought it was my period starting, but it went on for 6 days on and off and stopped yesterday no actual flow of period. Yeah I think I need to make a doc appointment, did anyone else go through this thenfind out thenwas pregnant?

@natashaarr I completely get those feelings, I'm sure you'll be fine, try not to stress yourself out x

@Faye93 Sounds like it could be implantation bleeding but a hot should be positive 6 days after you've missed your period, but you do hear of women getting very late positives, our bodies are weird and so weird things at times. I'd say ask doc for a blood test x

@Faye93 not had your experience specifically but am totally with you on the confusion part - it baffles me what our bodies can do and put us through and has left me utterly confused many a time! Agree with maedoula and Natasharr, get to the docs and see if they will take any bloods or further tests.

Thank you! Everything was fine, they said I was around 8 weeks when I was 8 weeks 5 days but they’ll give me an exact date at 12 weeks. Now just over 3 weeks until 12 weeks!!!!

Great news @natashaarr, I always get a bit worried when we don't hear about scans - hope your mind is at ease now!
I am 8+5 today too based on a scan last week, but feel all symptoms have gone in last few days, barely even feel pregnant so am worrying about that Paranoia never goes away does it!
Got midwife appt next week and hoping she will let me have another scan for my sanity although I don't have spotting at the moment - waiting until 12 weeks feels like an eternity right now. X
