Can someone direct me to the March thread please? Or shall we start a new one? I feel like the old one has completely disappeared into the depths of the mumsnet sea.

We're getting close now and wanted to see how everyone was as I'm due the 7th Smile

All the best to you all lovely pregnant ladies

I've had my baby!

Jjpeston · 16/02/2018 11:59

potteryprincess30 Hey! Feeling pretty good actually - still working (probably til the end as have my own company) and feeling pretty energetic and good really. How are you doing??

Jjpeston · 16/02/2018 12:42

Congrats PandaCat! Boy or girl? Hope all's going well? x

PandaCat · 16/02/2018 14:33

Girl, she was born early hours yesterday (15th), we just about made it on time! Everything is brilliant!

Mugglenet · 16/02/2018 14:51

Congrats pandacat. 💖

Jjpeston · 16/02/2018 15:07

pandacat wonderful news! I have a little girl already and she's such a joy. Enjoy it all x

PandaCat · 16/02/2018 15:10

Thank you! I've got a 5 year old girl too, she absolutely adores her new baby sister!

Jjpeston · 16/02/2018 15:11

So exciting it's coming to Meet the Baby time for everyone. Can I make a suggestion to anyone who is bored or at a loose end not working / just generally the will to live? Swimming! I for one am no champion swimmer (Granny swimmer more like) but it is SO relaxing and lovely to feel weightless for once. If you can possibly get to your local pool you won't regret it. Oh and if there is a steam room where you go - obviously you've gotta be careful not to stay in long as it's hot but god that is so relaxing and lovely. Anyone else got any good relaxation tips?? Xx

Jjpeston · 16/02/2018 15:13

pandacat amazing - must be gorgeous seeing them together. I can't wait for my 21 month old to meet her baby brother.

blinkineckmum · 16/02/2018 17:30

Oh congratulations! Wonderful news! Did the birth go ok? X

HazyDays81 · 16/02/2018 17:57

Massive congratulations PandaCat!

I have just finished my last day at work in London. Feel quite emotional about going. Really excited about what is to come (though also starting to worry about labour 3rd time round!).

Have a lovely weekend all xx

Potteryprincess30 · 16/02/2018 18:13

@PandaCat I am so pleased for you guys! That is just brilliant Smile welling up here reading this thread when I got back from seeing friends just now. The thought of your 5 year old and your new daughter really moves me (my daughter is 7 and my soon to be baby is a girl too so I am really looking forward to that too).

Sounds like your doing well and I am so happy everything is good and went well with your labour.

The first baby has arrived, what a start to the weekend!

@Jjpeston all ok this end, physically still pretty sprightly (though i suffer from mass chocolate eating and lazy disease so do have to force myself to do most things!) my main thing has been my appearance and boredom though the last few months of the pregnancy itself. I have pigmentation on my face which has got worse as each month progresses so thats been my main downer.

Nearly there now though so on the up mood wise and after hearing about that baby from PandaCat...well I'm beaming for her.

@HazyDays81 have a lovely weekend too!. It must have been so emotional, I remember from lat time round myself how intense that last afternoon was, and the goodbyes and feeling so surreal that I was actually leaving work for the foreseeable.

Hi Pottery...I have a 7 year gap between my two dds and it's lovely to watch; they are very protective of each other and because of the age gap they don't often squabble...it is lovely seeing them together. If all goes well, there will be 4.5 years between dd2 and dd3 so a fairly substantial age difference again.

Congratulations pandacat x

Mugglenet · 16/02/2018 20:28

Does anyone else feel massive... all of a sudden I've blown up everywhere. My thighs are huge and I just look in the mirror and I just think I'm repulsive.

Jjpeston · 16/02/2018 21:04

@mugglenet - do not look in the mirror (!!) especially not without clothes on. I literally close my eyes when I think I might catch sight of a thigh. The body does really expand in these last weeks. Instead pay more attention to hair and makeup - make it all about the face rather than the body ;) I find general pampering stuff makes you feel good, like face masks etc. I dunno about you but I generally don't have time for much of that usually. Or if you can afford it/ feel like it, a facial or a massage feels amazing at the end.

PandaCat · 16/02/2018 21:43

Thank you everyone!

My labour was really fast. 2 hours 22 mins from contractions starting, we just about made it to the hospital in time, no pain relief, no tears! It was shorter than labour with DD1 but more intense!! DD1, after meeting her new sister said that it was the best day of her life!

Potteryprincess30 · 16/02/2018 21:56

@Lavenderdays that's so sweet, I honestly can't wait to see her face when she meets the new one, its going to be magical and so worth it. Thank god we are mid Feb now, January was so crap but the god thing that came out of it was definitely this thread

She will be 8 in March so it is a big gap but we were fairly young when we had her and it has worked out well for study and work, but so good hearing another positive bonding story of having a much older sibling.

All will go well Lavender, it will be as magical as last time, even better. I know you must have anxiety but we are basically all there now, it's just a matter of when Smile

pandacat wow, fast labour! good work, sure it was extremely intense, you must feel like a warrior (my 1st one was quick so I know the drill). xx

potteryprincess30 I have more of the sleeplessess, and general restlessness and anxiety generally - it may be something to do with still working, and also having a toddler to run around after so no time to be 'lazy' just yet. Really really excited about not being pregnant anymore, I would love to be able to enjoy food properly, wine /any alcohol, etc! Also sense of smell has sort of gone, feel like I've lost a lot of 'me' really. The only time I feel free / happy at the mo is when Im swimming.

Vickylou78 · 16/02/2018 22:53

Thanks for all your messages potteryprincess and glad you are feeling better and enjoying some relaxation time. I’m starting to look forward to finishing work in 3 weeks although I only work part time so won’t be relaxing much on the 4 days when my 3yr old isn’t at nursery.

Well done panda cat! Safe arrival of your baby girl! What a short labour! Amazing.

Mugglenet - I’m ballooning too. Bump always been huge. But I thought I Was doing ok hip, thigh and bottom wise but oh my gosh suddenly I have massive thighs!! How does that work?! Trying not to look and hope isn’t permanent. Hopefully water retention or something!

Vickylou78 · 16/02/2018 22:56

Tonight I’ve been reading up on the birth..... not sure it’s really helped! Grin
