A Psychic Told Me I'm Pregnant...

Hi everyone. This is my first post so im not 100% how it works! I visited a psychic today who told me loads of accurate things about my life that he couldn't possibly have known!
Halfway through the reading he told me pregnancy was immonent. I asked him if he meant now. He said yes, im pregnant now.

My partner and i are not trying, but we are also not taking birth control either. Just let what happens happen! It wouldnt be a bad thing as we have bought a house and are financially stable. I just don't know what to think!

I dont really believe i am so i havent done a test, plus it would be too soon for a home pregnancy as i only had my period 2 and a half weeks ago.

I just wondered what peoples views are on this? And if anyone had any experiences of their own...

I think you should POAS. Then you'll know for sure.
I wouldn't believe him though- imminent doesn't mean now, it means soon, so what does he know?

Its very soon before my period but its going to drive me nuts all month waiting around! Haha, i have been pregnant before, unfortunately unsuccessfully, but i FELT pregnant, i just knew! I dont have that now...

I think it's really cruel for someone to get your hopes up, especially as you may not have even ovulated.

A psychic cannot guarantee a prediction, if they said you are pregnant then they're not an ethical psychic... They can suggest that at
Some point you will fall pregnant, that it may happen soon, but the choice is yours, it may be that by the psychic saying this you are more keen to try this month, 2 weeks ago you had your period so you're likely ovulating around this time.... So perhaps it's sown a seed... Take a test of you're unsure though. psychics are great when laying out facts that have happened and know things about you that are true etc but ethically good psychics will not mess with prediction x

Depends if you believe in all of that kind of stuff! Some of them make guesses based on your personal circumstances etc. I saw a psychic years ago who predicted or "saw" 1 pregnancy, possibly 2 babies. I am now anxiously awaiting first scan to see if it is indeed twins (I am praying its not!)

I was told by two I'd be pregnant at Xmas and have a little girl followed by a little boy - I found out I was pregnant 3 days after Xmas and did have a little girl. Can't see there being a little boy though!

I went to see another psychic today as it unsettled me so much yesterday. As soon as ive sat down she has said the exact same thing! That i am pregnant at the moment! I dont know what to think! Its a waiting game, ill have to just wait and see!
Its just so confusing as we actually had let our hopes sink a little as weve been off contraception for almost 8 months and had no luck. I think i was content in thinking 'it will happen when it happens', but the 2 psychics have really gotten my hopes up... i hope they arent wrong

POAS! A random woman (I don’t think psychic!) told my mum she was pregnant with me before my mum knew. (Before missed period).

Some people reckon they can smell pregnancy.

Psychics are very good at reading people in order to tell them what they want to hear. Have you ever seen Derren Brown? He explains how they operate. They do NOT have magical powers, and therefore they will not be able to know that you're pregnant.

I hope things work out for you though. Stop spending money on psychics though, you will not get answers.

If you're not using contraception then effectively you are trying for a baby whether you admit it or not so there's a good chance the people were right. Any reason why you haven't POAS?

I am mid cycle and my period is not due until 19th, it would be a false reading at this point.
Unfortunatly (some would say) im a believer, and therefore do trust in what they say to a certain extentConfused

Honestly sorry I hate to burst your woo bubble but if your period was 2.5 weeks ago, assuming you have an average cycle the egg would only just have been fertilised. If you're having unprotected sex around ovulation time and assuming no issues with your partner's sperm, this is happening around 60% of months. What happens next - around this weekend or the beginning of next week - is that the egg will attempt to implant into the uterine wall. A little more than half the time this fails and you won't get pregnant at all. So it's actually impossible, even if a psychic could somehow know, you aren't physically pregnant yet, and you won't be for a little while. Once the egg has successfully implanted the body begins to produce hCG which has to then increase to a level to be able to be seen on a pregnancy test so the earliest you could get a positive would be the end of next week or the weekend after next.

If they are claiming to have seen the future and that they know you will be pregnant this cycle, that actually makes sense at least because you would "technically" be pregnant already, but basically what I'm saying is that even if this month is your month, you are not physically pregnant, it is not possible.

Don't worry though, it is perfectly normal even for healthy couples to take up to 8 cycles to conceive and that is 8 perfectly timed cycles, so if you haven't been specifically aiming to try you can discount some of those cycles. It can even be up to a year without anything being wrong, just through having unlucky odds and cycles not working out.

You've asked for peoples opinions so I guess oh don't hearing mine.... I think psychics are manipulative and fake. I think they take advantage of gullible people.

If you and your partner aren't using contraception then it's not exactly hard to predict that you might be pregnant. Maybe you have loads of spare cash to spend on psychics but if not I'd suggest you save your money.

My dad knew I was pregnant before I did. We're talking a few days after conception would have happened but he brushed it off thinking he was crazy. When we told him he was so mad at himself for not believing his instincts. He could tell something was up, something was different.
Same with my nan. She can take one look at you and just know. Neither are psychics but some people definitely have some sort of gift for certain things.

I think you'll find that IS trying for a baby.

You need to pee on a stick after your period is due and if you don't want to be trying for a baby you need to go on some form of contraception.

No advice on the psychic thing but my friend saw me on my birthday about 5 days after conception and said 'you're pregnant Butt' randomly in conversation. Weirdest thing was I just knew I was and I still to this day don't know why as I'm usually useless with 'woo' things Grin

It's hard to believe these days when it's not backed up by science, but for some reason people encounter some weird but at times true predictions. I just hope you are and wish you the best! :)

for some reason people encounter some weird but at times true predictions- cold reading or lucky guesses. And people of course only remember the accuratel predictions, and forget about the rest. If you tell a bunch of young women they're pregnant, it will be accuate for some.
