A Psychic Told Me I'm Pregnant...

Hi everyone. This is my first post so im not 100% how it works! I visited a psychic today who told me loads of accurate things about my life that he couldn't possibly have known!
Halfway through the reading he told me pregnancy was immonent. I asked him if he meant now. He said yes, im pregnant now.

My partner and i are not trying, but we are also not taking birth control either. Just let what happens happen! It wouldnt be a bad thing as we have bought a house and are financially stable. I just don't know what to think!

I dont really believe i am so i havent done a test, plus it would be too soon for a home pregnancy as i only had my period 2 and a half weeks ago.

I just wondered what peoples views are on this? And if anyone had any experiences of their own...

What vitriol? Are you imagining that the way she is imagining that psychics are real?

Freezingwinter · 20/11/2017 19:09

Gosh, how nasty. Are we back in school? Confused I mean if you get off on making nasty comments, whatever floats your boat Hmm

Mrstobe90 · 21/11/2017 06:57

Seeing as my post got deleted, I’ll try again without the swearing.

To those of you who are talking her down for seeing a psychic - she is free to believe in whatever she wants to - just as you are.

For those of you making her feel bad for not coming on here for a while - she obviously has a lot going on and believe it or not, to many of us, there is more to life than Mumsnet.

To those of you being mean for the sake of it - grow up! This isn’t the playground. This is a place where grown adults are meant to be able to share their stories, experiences and ask for advice. If you’re going to act like a child, go and do it somewhere else.

shutitandtidyupgitface · 21/11/2017 09:53

Are we back in school?

If only some of you were back in school, you might be educated as to why psychics are not real. Alas it seems it is too late for many.

Freezingwinter · 21/11/2017 09:54

Still can't help yourself, can you? Sigh. Confused

LornaMumsnet · 21/11/2017 12:05

Ahem

Peace and love, please?

ptumbi · 21/11/2017 13:33

OP - you are getting arsey because posters are getting arsey at you for disappearing. I hate it when I post on a thread and the OP disappears - we didn't know (how could we) that you were in hospital. Or at deaths door - all we see is the OP dropping some idea of 'knowing' you are pregnant (and you really really couldn't have been at that stage) andthen you are not seen again.

It's reminiscent of a troll.

That's why people get pissy about threads like this. We are not psychic (!) ourselves - we don't know what is going on with your to stop you posting - just that you are not.

It's not personal. (usually)

Freezingwinter · 21/11/2017 14:22

The fact that she didn't come on mumsnet for a few days does not excuse the nastiness on this thread.

susurration · 21/11/2017 20:47

I'm surprised you didn't have any kind of blood test or pregnancy test done at the hospital if you were really ill with sepsis?

I had to go to A&E last week and they tested me for pregnancy, even when I said it was highly unlikely, because they were giving me strong medications.

Battleax · 21/11/2017 20:51

That'll be one of those normal hospitals using universal medical procedure in RL land then sus ?

Freezingwinter · 21/11/2017 21:19

Actually I am a nurse and if you're being treated for sepsis you need antibiotics regardless. There's no way any a and e department would wait for an early pregnancy test in the event of sepsis. Antibiotics have to be given immediately. That's real life for you Wink

Lollipop30 · 22/11/2017 00:24

I nearly died from Sepsis. They don’t test for anything first, straight to pumping in antibiotics then to find the cause. So glad they do as well as it took only 2hrs to go from fine to ICU!
Hope you’re on the mend OP

The message i posted was for Raf121

GingerbreadMa · 30/12/2017 15:57

Its a standard psychic "prediction" tbh.

They almost always say girl.

Noonelikesfruitcake · 30/12/2017 16:01

I didn't know tonsillitis and glandular fever were the same thing Hmm

user1485778793 · 30/12/2017 20:13

I saw a psychic at a charity event years ago I'm not into that at all. She also told me I was pregnant or would be 'soon' she was about 10 years out. Quite a common thing to say to a 20 something womanHmm

CatkinToadflax · 30/12/2017 20:19

A friend had a mastectomy and was told by her surgeon that she needed to lose a lot of weight (4 stone plus) before he was happy to go ahead with her breast reconstruction. She really struggled with the weight loss and after over a year of trying had only lost the first stone.

However she went to see a psychic, who assured her that she’d lost enough weight and the surgeon would agree to do the reconstruction. When he refused because she still had another 3 stone to lose, my friend was absolutely distraught. She’d really believed the psychic and really thought her reconstruction was imminent.

Bloody bastard of a ‘psychic’ giving her such false hope. 😡

SomebodysNotInBedYet · 30/12/2017 23:59

Tonsillitis is just inflammation of the tonsils. Glandular fever often causes tonsillitis. So not the same thing but you can have both.

zenlady2 · 31/12/2017 18:09

Names i'm giving are nothing to do with any pregnancies, just connected to Raf121
