Sex during pregnancy - what's everyone up to?

I know this is a bit of a private question but just wondering what people are doing as I feel stupidly nervous about it.

I know it's perfectly safe and I've been watching "catastrophe" and Sharon and Rob are at it constantly. We have had sex once since being pregnant at 30 weeks (this week). My DH has been wonderful and not put any pressure on at all.

I was anxious in the beginning as had a previous miscarriage, then I got hyperemesis and could do absolutely nothing for about 15 weeks, then I was under investigation for a short cervix, now I feel a bit better on some days and thought I'd give it a go but my orgasms make me contract and it's quite painful. My best friend had sex all the way through pregnancy and loved it. What are other people's experience?

Nothing since we conceived. I miss it and I want to want it, but when I get into bed I just prefer the idea of sleep. Also have a toddler so still getting woken at night on occasions. We had more sex during my last pregnancy but it still fizzled out quite a bit. SIL went rampant as anything during her 3rd trimester.

Nout since I got a positive test. 24w currently.

I’m 33 weeks and have probably done it maybe 3 or 4 times max. Both of us feel uncomfortable about it. I’m self conscious (although I KNOW I shouldn’t be). Plus the times we have done it have been uncomfortable. I get Brixton hicks after.

Nothing since conception here either

Only once, couldn’t get comfortable. Despite not having the highest sex drive prior to becoming pregnant, I do miss the closeness.

I'm 36 weeks and hardly ever I'm afraid. What with DH's work patterns and having a 2 year old around its a bit tricky. We managed to last week when a neighbour kindly offered to take our DD off of our hands for a bit.
It was so uncomfortable and bordering on painful that I burst in to tears (sexy, I know)! We stopped and I calmed down, once we tried again I was ok

15 weeks here and about the same amount as before, 2-3x per week. Although less this week after I'm on nights and just want to sleep!

We have been having sex about once a week but I saw a consultant last week and as I have a history of premature birth and a low lying placenta she told us to only have sex carefully. I don't know what that means so now I don't want to have sex at all!

Goodness I feel odd now...we still have sex roughly the same amount which is a lot. A couple of times a day at the weekend and every night when DP is home and not working away. We've been more careful especially in the early days (I'm now 33wks) but sex when pregnant is good for you and promotes lots of nice blood flow.

Is this your first pregnancy Mary ?

No it's not...does that make a difference? (Sadly both other pregnancies ended in loss)

Nothing since positive test. But then I've had UTIs throughout my whole pregnancy so far and feel CRAP. Currently 23weeks.

I’m 10 weeks today and this weekend has been first time since conception. On the ante natal thread I’m in, some people had bleeding after sex so I was nervous, but all was fine.

I’m 30 weeks now. Doing it less than before but still about once a week

We're less frequent but haven't stopped. Maybe once every 1-2 weeks. I'm 33 weeks.

Only occasionally, I'm 15 weeks and haven't felt like it at all. Only did 6-8 times in my last pregnancy but I had DD at 29 weeks

Sorry I should have said do you have any other kids? Just that you might find that having a toddler impacts on your sex drive 😂

lots at the beginning but then around 8 weeks we did and I didn't enjoy it at all, it felt weird, so we haven't done it since (10 weeks currently).
OH has a very high sex drive so probably isn't pleased... but I just couldn't be less interested right now tbh

I'm 20 weeks and in the first trimester we were doing it every day as the orgasms were seriously intense and I was super horny and had this overwhelming need to be as close and intimate with my dp as possible. Not as intense now but still averaging 4-5 per week which was normal pre pregnancy, sometimes no intercourse tho, just foreplay to completion. Everyone is different tho so don't stress and just do what works for you and what you are comfortable with.

My DH works away a lot and we manage about 1-2 a month which for me is very little if I'm honest. I miss the intimacy and the closeness. 32 weeks here. He's been very patient though and I'm the one to initiate it most times

I am feeling a lot more horny now and the sex dreams are insane. DH and I have been sleeping separately mostly as I had hyperemesis bad in the beginning and was sick from 4am onwards and now I need a mountain of pillows. The look on his face when I got into bed with him this morning!

Orgasms give me major cramps too so while DH will finish I'd much rather not as it hurts. But we've not dtd too often but will do other things instead for him which I don't mind. Sex drive has been really low anyway
