I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.
There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.
MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk
If you need help in obtaining medication, phone them on:
024 7638 2020
Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy
I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.
Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.
So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

DeadDoorpost · 05/11/2017 01:35

Gone again but baby moving. DH gave me a massage so that may have stopped it. I'll update again if anything new or exciting happens 😂

OnNaturesCourse · 05/11/2017 01:38

Good luck!

OnNaturesCourse · 05/11/2017 01:38

DeadDoorpost · 05/11/2017 06:57

Woke up and vomited. So there's that... stomach still feels weird. There may have been blood but I honestly don't know as I wiped some away on my mouth but the vomit wasn't ever going to tell me if there was blood or not due to what I ate last night.
I hope BabyDoor comes soon now just to get this over with. I'm done. Im so done.

Sally8655 · 05/11/2017 09:29

Just quickly popping on to say hi, I've not been able to catch up on posts lately as just reading is making me worse 🙁. Incredibly bad right now, week 9 is definitely so much worse and meds aren't touching it. I just keep hoping in a few weeks time it'll be more manageable. All of my safe go to foods are now not tolerable so back to square one!

Natsku · 05/11/2017 10:10

Lucinda in my notes it says that my medicine is safe with the exception of the 3rd trimester (though I can't find anything that says that when I try to research it) so I need to ask the doctor about that. Felt ill all day yesterday so took my medicine like normal last night and had a much better night and feel pretty ok today.

Sally week 9 is definitely the worst, hold in there, you'll get through it!

I'm getting hopeful for you Dead maybe it won't be long now

Mustang27 · 05/11/2017 10:10

Oh Sally yep that’s so common what’s starts as tolerable ends up on the no go list for nearly all of the pregnancy with most.

I keep buying gf pizza as a quickie meal but I vom it up always, its devastating.

Oh Dead you poor thing i really hope it progresses quickly for you.

thingymaboob · 05/11/2017 11:04

@Sally8655 week 9-12 was absolutely horrific for me. Even if you're unlucky and you have HG all the way through, very unlikely to be as bad as this period. I only ate hula hoops and sipped flat coke during this period and that was just to survive! I hope you're on ondansetron at least! Are you still working?

Bunnyfluffy · 05/11/2017 11:18

Sally Flowers
Week 9 ish was horrid for me. Am now almost 12 weeks and just over the last 2 days have started to feel everso slightly better. Stay strong, you can do it.

BlueButTrue · 05/11/2017 11:58

Dead Any more signs?

I’m okay, hoping to go into labour naturally before my planned section so I don’t have to deal with my DMum and her nonsense Grin think I saw you comment on my thread, as did Mustang?

TwoDrifters · 05/11/2017 12:02

I’ve hit a bit of a snag. Just got my cyclizine and pyridoxine out ready to go… skim read the leaflet like I always do… and it says NOT to take them if breast feeding, which I still am. Arrrggh! Obviously didn’t have this problem last time - does anyone have any experience of this?!

DeadDoorpost · 05/11/2017 12:32

Blue I've got my fingers crossed for you I really have. Your DM was absolutely horrible in saying what she did! I'd have just told her never to see me again if that was me. Whatever happens though good luck! Hopefully she'll calm down and be nice.
Sadly no more news atm but I've just started cooking a roast so who knows. I've been looking forward to this so it will only follow that something will happen 😂😂 I've got the whole day to go though and if not then at least I'm still 2 weeks away from due date.

No advice here unfortunately Two as this is my first but possibly speak to a Dr or 111 for some advice (111 can maybe put you through to out of hours Dr I don't know how it works where you are)

pippanippa · 05/11/2017 13:26

Just popping on to say twodrifters try not to worry, it may still be ok, most drugs are as overcautious about breastfeeding as they are pregnancy. The best place to go for advice is www.breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk there is a specific factsheet on there for breastfeeding and HG which covers most of the commonly used medications. If that doesn't cover those specific medications though there is an email address / phone number for a very experienced pharmacist on there who can offer really excellent advice. She gets back very quickly (though not sure on weekends), and is really an expert on breastfeeding and taking medication.

pippanippa · 05/11/2017 13:29

Ah, just found the actual factsheet (also on the pregnancy sickness support website), hope it helps!: www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk/documents/resources/Hyperemesis_and_breastfeeding_fact_sheet_.pdf

NerNerNerNerBATMAN · 05/11/2017 13:51

Sally weeks 8-11 were the worst for me. I just had to stay in bed and eat chips for three weeks. I'm 12 weeks now and couldn't imagine feeling this...normal! I've dropped from 3x cyclazine and ondansetron a day, and so far today have just had one cyclazine and 4 mince pies

Know it won't last, but I promise you it can get better. You've just got to ride out this truely horrific bit

BlueButTrue · 05/11/2017 14:20

Dead Ahh get that roast in you! I’m incredibly envious, just had hoops on toast Envy

My DM has sorted herself out with her wording now. She’s a pain ffs.

Two Can’t advise from a professional/knowledgable point of you but I would be tempted to take them anyway in your situation... Ignore that though, not the most sensible of responses but it’s what I would do, couldn’t stand the sickness at your stage of pregnancy, it was truly unbearable

DeadDoorpost · 05/11/2017 14:34

Glad to hear it blue but I'd still ban her from the hospital. Let the nurses know when you go in. And I'm certainly going to try and enjoy the roast despite feeling sick again.

Shehz21 · 05/11/2017 15:19

Sally Just gonna be everybody else's echo and confirm that 9 weeks was the pits. But you will get through it!

It is great to see updates from Batman and Bunny that they are finally starting to feel better.
Well done you guys and it will definitely lean towards more good days than bad days now (except for some dreaded relapses here and there) but surely you are over the worst!

lookingforthecorkscrew · 05/11/2017 15:58

Bad day over here. Googled abortion clinics - THAT bad. Just feel like I’m drowning.

OnNaturesCourse · 05/11/2017 16:18

Major, major bloody show happening over here. 🙈 No pains though. Dead how you doing?

I ate lunch and I've felt sick since too.

DeadDoorpost · 05/11/2017 16:33

nature you're further along than I am! I've had no show, the very occasional twinge and feeling a little bit sick. Other than that and the need to wee more... nada
corkscrew It can be really tough with HG not going to lie. I thought a lot about having an abortion and I'm usually against it personally. We're here to support you no matter what

LucindaE · 05/11/2017 16:38

Poor you, lookingforthecorkscrew. It is hard to bear. Remind me of what week you are on, like Sally8655 it might be one of the worst ones and remind us of the meds you are on? There might be something that they can add. An effective anti acid can make a huge difference.
Sally8655 Poor you as well. I so agree with the others about week nine being bad. Remind us of what meds you are on now?
Great advice from Shez21 and Bunnyfluffy Natsku, Mustang and others. Great advice from Pippasnippa over TwoDrifters BF and drugs problem.
BlueButTrue I haven't read your thread, but I am sorry if your mother is making insensitive remarks. That is so unlike it should be.
Here's hoping OnNatue'sCourse's baby arrives at a considerate time, and it's disappointing for BlueButTrue and DeadDoorPost that those pangs were a false alarm.
OnNature'sCourse Amazing that woman had a painless, drug free labour - how enviable! I will have to look out for that Lucozade. I am sorry to say that I have never got out of the habit of drinking it since Hyperemesis...[hmm)
DeadDoorPost I hope you have a labour like your mother and grandmother.
Apologies if I've overlooked anyone.

Cork... Things aren't easy, and I had some days where I felt like I couldn't go on either. Days where I just cried constantly or fake laughed my way through the day. Sending you big hugs!
