First baby, what week did you have them?

I know that very few go on their due dates and that as a first time Mum you’re more likely to be overdue ... But I’m curious to hear, when did you go into labour?

Induced at 41+4, delivered by emergency section at 41+5.

38+2 - she was 6lb 12oz

I'm 33 weeks into my first pregnancy so I'm no help at all but I am hoping to follow in my mum's footsteps and be early... She had 4 kids and all of us were born before our due dates... 10 days, 11 days, 11 days and 3 days.

@DeadDoorpost I’m 33w too and hoping the same, although my Mum went over so not likely haha. Obviously want them to be fully ready but something like 39w would be a dream as PGP is making life miserable at the moment. Good luck! X

Already a real range! Appreciate no two are the same but I’m impatient and find the not knowing an annoying fact of life.

DC1 was 8 days late. Like a previous poster I was hoping to follow in my mum’s footsteps as her DC1 was 12 days early!

2 days before due date (9lb11.5oz)

Induced at 41+5

DS was born 40+4

12 days late. 4.4kg (10lb something?).

Was taken in to be induced, but obviously i was stressed and ds decided to come out himself before any inducing kicked off. That's my boy!

Induced at 40+13, delivered at 40+14 by emergency c-section. My mum's DC1 (me!) was 10 days early.

38 for 1st
39 for 2nd
42 for 3rd

First dd was born at 40+5. Was booked in for a sweep later that day then my cramps started at 5am.

37 + 2. I was totally not expecting that!!

42w. She didn't want to come out that "early" either.

I read a report that its down to the father not the mother and the better test is to ask MiL when DH arrived! Can't remember details of why ... something to research!

Ds was 10lb 3oz

35+5. Waters broke in the night, labour started 12 hours later, baby arrived 4 hours after that.

40 + 6 x

37+5 with my first. All natural, spontaneous labour and home birth. I'm praying just to make it to 37 weeks with #2 now!

Went into labour on due date but she didn't arrive until the next morning.

38, she was 6lbs 5.

All of my family have always been early so I was so hopeful sure I would be too, but alas!
