I know that very few go on their due dates and that as a first time Mum you’re more likely to be overdue ... But I’m curious to hear, when did you go into labour?

Sonotkylie that rings true for me. Dc1 and 2 were both early, so was their dad (exh) but dc3 was (very very) late, and so was his dad!

steppemum · 03/10/2017 12:35

42+2

DearMrDilkington · 03/10/2017 12:35

41+6 days.

weegiemum · 03/10/2017 12:36

dc1 was 4 days early and 9lb12oz, so I'm very glad she didn't stay in. All 3 of mine were early, dc2 was 10 days early and 9lb3, and dc3 was induced at 36+6 and was 7lb15, so similar relief for them being early too!!

MummysMaison · 03/10/2017 12:36

36 weeks 5lb 11ozs

silkpyjamasallday · 03/10/2017 12:38

40+1, but it's down on my notes as 39+1 because they decided at my 20 week scan she was a week smaller, but I know exactly when we conceived.

JohnLapsleyParlabane · 03/10/2017 12:39

41 +6 spontaneous labour

stopbeingadramallama · 03/10/2017 12:39

38+6

RubaDubMum89 · 03/10/2017 12:46

11 days late for me

delilahbucket · 03/10/2017 12:50

Went into labour at 36+5 and gave birth at 37 exactly.

meltingmarshmallows · 03/10/2017 13:02

@Sonotkylie Oh that’s good to know. Annoyingly my MIL had twins who came early so may not be an indicator for me. But an interesting point!

Labour started 39+6. Born next day, bang on due date. She's still a very punctual child Grin

meltingmarshmallows · 03/10/2017 13:03

@BanjoPier That’s very satisfying haha! I’d love them to come on their due date

40, 6lb6 baby girl

Sonotkylie · 03/10/2017 13:16

Didn't work for me either ... DH was elective C section at 39 ish weeks (i.e. when was convenient for the consultant - it was 1960s). DS very late and very unwilling. Also c section in the end.
But it is interesting and something you can blame your partner for ... makes a change!

Sonotkylie · 03/10/2017 13:17

I by the way, was born on due date ... DS does NOT take after me

Rarotonga · 03/10/2017 13:19

Went into labour on the day before my due date and had ds on my due date in the early hours.

I'm never on time for anything!

Waytroze · 03/10/2017 13:23

Induction started 41+5. Born 42+1 by emergency c section.

I walked round and round the hospital grounds to try to get things moving, but it just wasn't happening!

Ohwell14 · 03/10/2017 13:24

39+4 6lbs 6

Ookmybanana · 03/10/2017 13:38

42+1. He was comfy.

AutumnGlitterBall · 03/10/2017 13:53

Bang on due date. Went into labour at five past midnight. Baby arrived at ten am.

PandaCat · 03/10/2017 13:58

39+2.

Im hoping this one will be born around the same time too.

BiddyPop · 03/10/2017 14:07

Depends which date you believed (the original EDD from GP, the adjusted EDD from cons about halfway through, the re-adjusted EDD at about 32 weeks, the re-readjusted date at about 37 weeks from cons .....)

Just taking the 2 most important:

Cons final date (the one which mattered to hosp!), I was 39+4. (His earlier dates would have had me at something like 41+2 at that stage!)

Original date from date of doing test and GP visit: 40+6hrs! (And she started shifting in the evening of 40+0!).
