Hmm alot of pressure today. Very uncomfortable. Really does feel like i am about to come on. Is this just normal labour prep?

labour!

If you do go get it checked, bring your overnight bag with you.

I was in hospital overnight with only my phone for company (pre wifi! The horror)

Tattybogle89 · 09/09/2017 20:43

That's how my labour started like a period was coming. Then period cramps started. Then that gradually got more painful and turned into contractions x

Evilstepmum01 · 09/09/2017 20:47

Sounds like how my labour started!
Good luck! Flowers

LubyLoo222 · 09/09/2017 21:38

Any update OP?

Jellybabie3 · 09/09/2017 22:00

No change really just incredibly bloated? Baby feels very low. Should contractions have started by now if this was labour??

I had this in the week before I finally went into labour with dc2. Like dc was grinding down further into my pelvis. Start of labour felt more like regular interval period cramps at first.

StarfishSeahorse · 09/09/2017 22:17

Could be pre labour, I was like that for 3 days before things really got going

Jellybabie3 · 09/09/2017 22:23

Ok thanks ladies. Will try and get some rest and see what happens. Still feels like period bearing down. Only just finished sorting his nursery so sods law i wont get any break haha!! Exciting though

Sounds like the beginning of early labour. Could be hours, days or even weeks before it progresses into active labour. Hopefully it won't be the latter Flowers

Jellybabie3 · 09/09/2017 22:25

I havent had a show yet do i guess i should expect that if things are moving along

Jellybabie3 · 09/09/2017 22:26

If you end up having some kind of massive bowel evacuation as well then I'd say you were on your way to a delivery....

ProseccoMamam · 09/09/2017 22:29

Labour pains, they could happen for days so you should get some rest and make sure you're eating plenty, good luck! Hope all goes well x

dippypanda · 09/09/2017 22:36

Hi @Jellybabie3 I'm 38+3 and have been feeling like how you've described for a couple of days now... I keep thinking hoping that it's going to start soon especially when I go to bed, but then wake up and nothing's happened. I also have terrible lower back pain when I'm walking so it sure if that's linked or not. The pressure below is intense as well.

Fingers crossed for you! Flowers

dippypanda · 09/09/2017 22:37

*not sure

AngelaKardashian · 09/09/2017 22:37

Yep, sounds like labour! Good luck! Flowers

orangeowls · 09/09/2017 22:39

Ooo I went into labour at 38 weeks, exciting times Grin

silver1977 · 09/09/2017 22:47

I felt like this for a few days, very uncomfortable to even sit due to the pressure. I found the opposite TheLegendOfBeans I was terribly constipated! This was with my first child so wasn't sure if I felt that way due to the constipation or whether early labour. 2 days later I had a show and waters broke. Is this your first OP? How exciting!

NataliaOsipova · 09/09/2017 22:52

Sounds like the day before I went into labour....
